  1. Isnt that exactly what existed prior to ACA?
  2. Aye, they bungled the hell out of ACA.
  3. And I'd prefer to be immortal with the body of a god. The carrot method (not dying from lack of insurance) did not work. That's why were at the point we are now.
  4. If there isn't a stick, then nobody will do it. People could willingly purchase heath insurance prior to UHC, they just didn't.
  5. I used to get 30 paid days / year while in the military (that could be rolled over) but just now counting it up I only get 28 paid days off this year from my company (and they are "use it or lose it").
  6. What, Christmas? Thats no loss, we'll just rename it Festivus!
  7. Agreed. Religion should be wiped from the face of the Earth. What a blight on humanity.
  8. Great pics. I wouldnt mind seeing Russia some day. Btw, you are not limited to five pictures per day. As a new poster, you must have your first five posts approved by a moderator, after which you can post freely. Its an anti-bot measure we take. Oh and posts in Way Off-Topic do not count toward that total.
  9. Happy Birthday, Azdeus!!!!
  10. The Saudi's are makin' it rain up in here. This (total) package, coupled with the 20B from earlier, is like three years of free UHC! w00t!
  11. ^But what if this motley crew solves how to stop terrorism? It could happen... Anyway, tragic. Hope nobody we know over there was affected.
  12. Did you just generalize that everyone is a guy?
  13. Saudi Arabia’s $20 billion wager with Blackstone is record-sized bet on U.S. infrastructure. #winning

  15. Come hang in Chicago where its now a crisp 9C. We can go sit in my garage and knock back beers.
  16. I like this theory and youre probably right but
  17. The obvious parallel is, both the public library and public parks (or wherever these statues were), are financed by the state/city. If the rationale is to remove offensive from public view then where is the line drawn? Aside, I honestly had no idea that the Constitution protects books. What other mediums are protected? Paintings? Obviously statues do not enjoy such protection. Sincere question; if enough NA's got together could they force the covering of Mt. Rushmore with a giant curtain, for example?
  18. Isnt that the exact rationale for the various book burnings throughout history?
  19. I mean, 725 Pelican Ave, New Orleans, LA 70114 (NO public library) is a state financed building. Inside is filled wall to wall, floor to ceiling with state financed books. Many of these books make angry for . Why is this state funded acceptable?
  20. But these books are freely available inside government, state and federal buildings. Why would they support the availability of such material in public places? Someone could see it and become offended.
  21. Offensive books, to burn or not to burn? Maybe hide them away in a museum? Discuss.
  22. World's thinnest hologram paves path to new 3-D world.
  23. Condolences, majestic.
  24. In the never ending cycle of "how to make this story more fantastical than the last", it appears our most benevolent leaker and world hero revealed the “most valuable source of information on external plotting by Islamic State.”.
  25. Yeah they also revered a parasitic twin for a while, Lakshmi Tatma.
