Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Chilloutman replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
^this is exactly what happened to me, BG1 was the last of the IE games I tried, and it seemed just terrible after PST, BG2 and IWD. That's interesting. When I first played Baldur's Gate, very shortly after it was released, the experience was a bit different for me. I'm pretty sure I heard choirs of angels singing, and the heavens were opened (really), telling me that it was my sacred duty to skip basically all of my classes for the next week so that someone could get to the bottom of why my foster father had been so brutally murdered. I'm pretty sure I also skipped a few showers, meals, and plenty of sleep, just for good measure. Really, I can still almost feel the trembling delight that overwhelmed by body with every moment I played that game. Up until that moment, I had no idea that so wondrous an experience could be had with mouse and keyboard. I was utterly baffled that my roommate at the time -- who had actually purchased the game rather than me -- was so disinterested with his purchase that he decided to gift it to me without a second thought. I naïvely said I'd check it out, completely unaware of the wonderment I was about to experience. Yep, Baldur's Gate was a game changer for me. I must say i got very similar experience with Fallout 2 which I played before BG1. And at that time I even didnt know english at all (not that i improved that much from that time) -

Stellaris looks and sounds so far like a day 1 purchase for me. Unless they've completely managed to **** up the late game, the game will dethrone Master of Orion 2 from the throne. Which is just about time. I know how to play that game through while blindfolded There is some new MoO but for some reason it seems shallow. They even get rid of best part of MoO2 - single tech in branch - it was cool that some races got access to completely different tech.

Firstly I have never said "the refugees are beneficial to Europe "....I have said consistently things like " it was a mistake for Germany and Merkel to invite the refugees " But I dont have an issue with Germany or Merkel because they meant well and what is done can't be changed, so we can't go back in time to change the initial offer to invite the refugees. So instead of just complaining and having unrealistic suggestions like " the EU should just dissolve because of this " I believe in practical solutions. We cant send the current refugees back so real efforts have to be made to stop any additional refugees from arriving, like this new Turkish deal, and then the current refugees that are in EU have to absorbed into EU society..and yes I understand this is difficult but you want to avoid the refugees ending up living in ghetto communities, being unemployed and living off social security I have always also maintained that a small percentage of refugees will commit crime...so obviously the crime rate in an EU country will increase...this is not the same thing as me saying " " you must be happy with increased crime "...I am saying its inevitable but its not all the refugees who are committing crime So no I'm not Trolliing, my argument is logical and based on the reality of the situation You are constantly trolling or - excuse me - you are idiot.# 1) it never was intend of any nation to create ghettos - these people created them themselfs 2) Turkish deal - EU will return refugees to Turkey where they get turkey asylum and turkey citinzenship in exchange for no-visa access for these people to EU. Wow, what a great deal we are going to pay for! 3) Stalin meant well as well - but few millions of people died in process - bugger I know 'Mean well' doesn't mean i dont have problem with it even if I agree with 'higher good' that may come from it. If I rephrase your comment: But I dont have an issue with Germany USSR or Merkel Stalin because they meant well and what is done can't be changed, so we can't go back in time to change the initial offer to invite the refugees invade east block. So instead of just complaining and having unrealistic suggestions like " the EU USSR should just dissolve because of this " I believe in practical solutions. Are you really that blind that you dont see it? ** Sorry for derailing this thread - back to gender equality please

no, I have problem with your stance that we should accept refugees because they will be somehow beneficial for EU and just accept fact that it will increase crime rates

well its great target practice, and from what I read it get major boost to weapon export for russians manufactures. Cost of intervention is around 2 billions dollars, while it generated almost 14 billions in weapons deals. Russia is profiting

You have misunderstood my point about increased crime in the EU due to refugees I am simply stating the facts, some crime will increase to a certain degree in the EU due to some of the actions of the refugees. This is already the reality, I'm not sure why you have an issue with the actual crime statistics? But this doesn't mean the EU will now collapse or that the foundation of the EU will become undermined due to " Islamization" I still cant believe you are not really good troll, your posts always trigger me soo much! You really cant believe that **** you are posting xD

wow, not that voting system in US is stupid, now they even have to rig it to get yours supreme leader? xD
-
No its good to throw money at the problem Turkey is a Muslim country, I'm sure they will have a much better understanding and empathy towards fellow Muslims than most people in the EU Its a good idea to send them back to Turkey what is point of agreemend that Turkey will take back refugees if we agree with them on non-visa open border??
-
well you can argue about it but states where one ethnic group have majority have least crime rate, be it Sweden, Korea or Japan. If there is correlation purely random is on you to decide.
-
South Korea - 50 mil pop - cca 1 mil non-native cca 2% Japan 130 mil pol - cca 2 mil non-native cca 1.3 % these two I would consider east Asia AND safe. There is China ofcourse 1200 mil pop - cca 111 mil minorities cca 8% - and we know there are ethnical problems in china
-
So conclusion is that more homogenic ethnically state is - more safe it is, even for minorities? Whoo, doesn't work well with multiculturalism ^ Ladies and gents, here we can observe the not-so-rare confirmation bias in its natural habitat. ehh, what bias are you talking about?

Just to clarify, east EU is V4 for me

Interesting point, do you think that black gays have more safe places? Maybe US, but thats about it?

I didnt dodge it but how would you know? There aren't accurate statistics and there are different types and degrees of Islamic Extremism, for example what about people who fund terrorism but wont actually take part in an attack...do we consider them Islamic Extremists ? So it gets complicated to calculate accurate numbers Exactly xD I dont know how trustworthy is this text but still, quite scarry even if 5% of its content was true http://www.nationalreview.com/article/428146/more-than-few-islamic-extremists
-
Yeah I mean it should be easy for an incredibly large, ethnically and culturally diverse population, to unite against extremism. what do you talking about, they are all French right? xD
-
i like how bruce dodged that my qustions about percentage of fundamental muslims
-
Any country in the EU would be a legitimate target for them as the EU is considered part of the West and its much easier for them to operate in countries like Belgium and France because of the general frustration that exists in some sectors of the domestic Muslim community So this is just them lashing out at the West in anyway they can, its not about substantive changes to politics or laws. Its just about spreading chaos in the EU There would not be problem if major muslim population would not cover these extremists I'm not with you? What do you mean Well there was many terror attacks in EU, do you really think that no-one from muslim community didnt noticed that someone is hoarding weapons. explosives etc in muslim ghettos? Do you really believe that any of these so called 'non-fundamental' muslims was not involved? that they dont speak to each other from time to time? Do you believe that there was 5 guys moved in, not talk to anyone, yet get their hands on tons of weapons and ammo without any connections?
