  1. One of the trailers with Matt Lucas looked promising but the rest is just horrible.
  2. But you're in a better place now. You're VIP. Welcome to the club, old boy!
  3. Go soak a cork, you christian fundamentalist rightwing gun-toting soccer mom from Alaska.
  4. Children should be fitted with those exploding necklaces from Wedlock. That way, if they run away.. not only do they get immediate and capital punishment, but youll know they were too stupid to invest time and resource in raising anyway so no harm done.
  5. Gabrielle for new mod!! Haha, that would be so insane... oh, drats. she IS a mod
  6. So, did anyone watch the Malasyian debacle? Bernie Ecclestone moved the race time in order for a better broadcast time in Europe, forgetting that the monsoon usually sets in in the late afternoon this time of year. Thus, halfway through, the racetrack gets absolutely drenched in rain and the race is aborted. Bernie wasnt the only one taking a mad gamble with the rain, Ferrari had a momentary lapse of reason and sent R
  7. Rubbish! Its not a buggy mess, its just as stable as any other game out there and Im still having great fun playing it. It is a fantasticly entertaining strategy game and you have to get it if you like TW.
  8. Im just going to put it out there blatantly and honestly: my taste is better than yours.
  9. So am I the only one who thinks DA gameplay looks way too much like NWN? Youd think the would have come up with something a bit better than the old "stand around like a wanker for 6 seconds then play attack animation. repeat"
  10. OR, his cover was blown when a jealous lover outed him as an undercover agent for THE ATOMIC DANGER SQUAD!
  11. A delude group, more like. They continuously praise DE as the best game ever, even though it has crippled gameplay and ludicrous story*. Its an average game. *ok, lets take all the major conspiracy theory badguys and lump them in together with the old evil AI schtick! That's like totally original!!
  12. Dont buy an apple. The hardware is outrageously overpriced, and they still cant run Windows to 100%. Not to mention you will become a mac user, a social stigma that will haunt you for the rest of your life.
  13. I thought the game was a complete remake? Or is it "butcher bay" with an addon?
  14. Starbreeze are very nice and very talented people, but the whole Vin Diesel in space setting is completely unappealing and uninteresting. Still, there could be a real game hiding in there so Ill take a chance and get it.
  15. Linux and the Ubuntu dists are much better at recognising partitions and file systems than Windows. If its there, it will find it. The 64bit version should be ok, but you might run into some problems with drivers. Unless its a server, I would use the regular x32 And a tip is to use the Kubuntu dist instead of Ubuntu. It uses a GUI called KDE, which is easier to use and more logical than Ubuntus Gnome. (Its also prettier) Its not a big change, its still Ubuntu, but better. Unless you think MacOS9 was the best os ever, then you'll love gnome.
  16. We're so ironic and hip that we went to see "Fast and Furious"(the 4th film) at the cinema just now. We laughed so hard I swear I thought the other people there, who liked the film for real, we're gonna beat us up.
  17. "We cant allow gay people to get married, cause that would make marriage gay."
  18. If you make a racing sim, its going to be difficult. Bur RBR is so much worse because you have to really wrestle your wheel in rally. Turning your wheel 12 times per corner while keeping track of the handbrake, brakes and clutch is really demanding. Wet track races in Race07/GTR Evo are hard, and they dont even come close. And the graphics thing, it seems to be something of a tradition to have realistic car game look like they were made in 2001. But apparently there are some hardcore sim guys(ex simbin people) working on Need for Speed: Shift and they've promised to deliver real driving physics AND contemporary-standard graphics. It could be all hype and the final game will be another boring arcade racer, but there is a chance.
  19. Im playing Richard Burns Rally. Its very, very difficult but the car physics are spot on.
  20. Who was that annoying guy in the beginning?
  21. The Renault engine has been upgraded over the winter, because Renault were too strict regarding the rules of the engine freeze and so they were allowed to make a few changes to keep up with the others. And Red Bull are faster than ever this year it seems. The RPM restriction is to increase engine life, and thereby reducing cost for the teams. You now have 8 engines for the whole season, thats it. And the aerodynamic changes were made mainly to decrease turbulence in the wake of cars, because it made following cars lose downforce which made it very difficult to follow a car through corners because youd lose grip. The new aero rules, slick tyres, adjustable front wing and KERS boost are all there to increase the chances of overtaking and making the races more exciting. And F1 has never been about raw speed really. Sure, the cars do go very fast, but its always been more about the driving. Manouvering, cornering and overtaking is what its about. There's the safety issue aswell; if the audience cant tell the differance between 280kmh and 320kmh, whats the point of going that fast? Its just an unnescessary risk.
  22. We Swedes had nothing but rotten luck in our F1 days. First Gunnar Nilsson died of cancer, then Ronny Petterson dies from complications from a broken leg. That was 30 years ago and no Swede has ever gotten close to the higher echelons of open-wheel racing since. The Finns like to believe its because they are superior drivers, but in reality its mostly gas and motor-related taxes... atleast in my mind. Parents can barely afford to drive to work, how are they supposed to fund a kids karting career?
  23. F1 was low on excitement during the Schumacher years 2000-2004, I stopped watching it. But that was a while ago and F1 has hanged completely since then. Apart from the table being turned on the old dominance of ferrari/mclaren, you also had lots and lots going on in the actual race.
  24. Apparently Honda spent all their money on developing the 2009 car, only to bugger off in the last minute leaving Ross Brawn with the golden goose. What I dont like is Renaults less-than-stellar performance. Fernando Alonso is the best driver out there and its such an idiotic waste to have him rot away for years in a team that has no chance of winning the championship. I hope Im wrong, but the RS29 seems to drive like a block of wet soap on ice. The problem for us Swedes is that it only runs on Viasat Motor. I couldnt get that channel if I tried so Im watching the BBC coverage, which is probably much better anyway. We need another Ronny Petterson to reawaken the interest again, the finns have ruled for far too long.
