Unless it was a country specific thing, then the Original Champions of Krynn, Pools of Radiance came in a sort of bluish grey box.

If you can get it then I would. I dont think you will miss out on a lot if you cant though because the second one covers the events of the first in great detail.

I guess you know that it's completely different in tone, atmosphere, genre and content compared to the originals. Anyway, I'm tempted by "Devil Whiskey", the hommage to the Bard's Tale games. I've played the demo and it really plays like the old Bard's Tale games with updated graphics. Does anybody own the full game? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. sticking a lightsaber in it worked 4 out 4 for me. Are you not getting the option to do it ? (bash icon) or is bash just not lowering the field? Just a thought, but perhaps its an upgrade.

The gold boxes are second editions. The original games didnt come in gold boxes. I'm getting the new Bards Tale tommorow.

I always resented when MGS II made me do something active. I really enjoyed the story, but I'd prefer to watch someone else play it. MGS III I got on very well with, once I realised that I was playing a prologue and not the game proper. Boss was kicking my butt, and leaving my weapons scattered all over the place. But reverting back to my starter gun sorted her out. Volgin was much more annoying.

I played it and It's an absolute masterpiece of a game. MGS 2 I enjoyed the story, but actually resented when the game made me do something (because it interupted my story time) MGS III though has a much nicer synergy between story and game. And that sequence with the sorrow where you are walking through the ghosts of all the people you have killed is really eerie. Now I have to go rent Twin Snakes.

I bought mine sometime last year. Didnt play it because I heard about the sequel and wanted to do them back to back. The place I got it from are out of stock now.

It's got a couple of special attacks dont know if it gains more as you level. A series of unlucky rolls makes anything harder than it should be.

Dont listen to music when playing RPGs. Flying the final Wing Commander mission to eye of the tiger,though. That was special.

Don't think any of the boses were hard although following Skies of Arcadia's end boss, hard did take on a new meaning for me. Hardest part was a 3am job walking into a room full of what looked like inactive turrets. :"> Dont think I used as many shields in the rest of the game.
