  1. Yes it's packed with character and detail. The songs are great too, though work best in the context of the game rather than just reading the lyrics. One small but nice thing, if you bump into someone they will say excuse me, or something to that effect or tell you to watch where you are going. Even the coments like the explorer saying "I smell a trap" then launching himself on a bed of spikes so you can walk across his back, or holding back a sliding wall while you run by. He also laughs at you when you fall into a trap. Not bad for a "summoned" companion. No idea if you get the explorer in the demo, but summon him in the Viking tomb for some commentry. :D Champions of Norath:Return to Arms.
  2. I hate it. It reminds me of all the girls my parents set me up with with.. Luckily it's not common here in Wales. Tara Strong is Canadian if I recall.
  3. I had Jennifer Hale overload after Merceneries and Twin Snakes. Tara Strong is still my favourite
  4. Obscure ? Been out for months here. Fun game.
  5. Originally I bet it was supposed to be the Exile. It accounts for two things. The Exile becoming whole after meeting with Nihilus and how they know about the Exile. The whole thing is very PST though, so no suprise it was dropped.
  6. Read his other posts. He just tags random rubbish on the end of a thread.
  7. Whatever gave you that idea? It's been a busy year for LA.
  8. Dont think so. Plenty of MMPORGs made by people without contacts to them as well.
  9. Well thats something you would have to take up with Microsoft. But console sales are still much less impacted by piracy than PC sales.
  10. Must be nice to live in your dellusional little world.
  11. Yes you are indeed a smart cookie. Now you also know who "poisoned" our cooking on friday night.
  12. It's something I shouldnt really have (as in given it) you really should read the whole thing.
  13. No theft involved anywhere. And I resent the implication.
  14. Lets just say It's something I shouldnt really have (as in given it) and leave it at that. And thats not a review, it's an explanation of how the combat system works. Be mean to post a review
  15. No they are quite aware of it. They are also aware that the console market is much less prone to that sort of thing. So blame your friends and people like them.
  16. Thats because NwN shipped with a toolkit. Nothing really to do with being mod friendly. NwN was always intended as a thing where you could make your own adventures. KOTOR was always intended to be a stand alone adventure and that was the end of it.
  17. Those would be funny. Grab lightsaber admister swift kick to Jedi's nuts
  18. Shouldnt you have a review copy by now ? It's pretty easy. I was a bit disapointed about how straightforward the combat was. One button blocks, in conjunction with a direction it will do a flip or roll. Another button attacks - what form it takes will depend what "feat" or style you have selected. Pressing two of them together does a special area attack of some sort. another one does a bullet time type thing (although they call it focus) one for chi heal and another for chi attack (like an attack boost) you can select 4 styles from the direction pad so it plays a lot like a DA/CoN game with a different view. Each style has a skill submenu which you can use to increase things like speed, damage etc (usual stuff) from ranks 1-5. Which coupled with selection is probably going to mean focusing on couple of styles is going to be the way to go, unless you want to keep changing them via the menu. When you kill things they drop little balls which have different effects. usually replenishing something like health or Chi. Gives the combat an arcadey feel, but it didnt really bother me. People who like DA/CoN but would like to be able to see more than 10feet in front of them will probably like it. Ninja Gaiden fans will find it very shallow in comparison.Graphically it's KOTOR+ but hardly jawdropping in an MGSIII way. If I can get over the horrible out of place voices and actually get into it I will probably like it.
  19. I have less of a problem rationalising a whip as it has a handle. Although it's beyond me how you would make a wiggly lightsaber :D
  20. It was mentioned earlier in the thread and I wondered if it was part of ToJ or if it was just something that was thought up. Given the other rubbish ToJ has it wouldnt suprise me.
  21. I wouldnt go that far. They just dont sound right coming out of those characters. The combat is going to be the love/hate sticking point. Or maybe the ship mini game, but it's skippable in most circumstance.
  22. Useless "fact" Porn is probably the one subject no one wants to appear like an expert on...
