For some reason this reminds me of Megatron keeping Exar Kun in a shoe box.. You had to be trained up anyway so its not like she could just tell you and off you go. Yep chalk up another positive opinion of Eternal Darkness. Wind Waker is excellent. Only thing I never liked about it was the travel across that open ocean.Although because I like to explore it wasnt a gamebreaker. Gets better though later in the game. The whole "cutsey" thing really never bothered me. It's quite possible to have a cutesy game on the surface with deep involving gameplay. Really need to finish it one day. I'm in the forest temple if I recall. Twilight Princess is definately my gamecube pick though. It's almost the opposite of windwaker. Link gets older , the whole thing is dark and brooding and er some other things....

Already knew that. It's not about getting games I already own, but games I've missed along the way. Or just for the fact that I'd rather pay a small sum rather than have to dig out the N64 or SNES from the attic every couple of months.

Gameboy player fits underneath the GC and lets you play the whole library of GBA games. That was probably as much a part of buying a GC than for the cube itself. Bit like the back catalogue is going to be a good portion of the motivation to buy a revolution. The golden sun series alone (which are puzzle heavy RPGS) would be worth the cost of a GC (at todays price).

Wealth is very cool although if your not into the power side of it , it will totally kill your motivation to be productive. I think anyone who says they dont want to be rich just dosnt know what its like. Although fame given a choice between rich and famous and not rich I'd take the latter.

Good to see your still alive (w00t) How important do you think those sorts of scenes are for setting the tone of the game ? And given more time would you have liked to drive the story with more of them?

I'm struggling to find those 3 titles for the GC. I haven't played Wind Waker, and I'm not sure I will. I will definately get Twighlight Princess, but RE4 is coming out on the PS2. I really can't find another MUST-HAVE exclusive title on the Gamecube calling out to me. I'm quite happy with my N64 versions of Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, and F-Zero. And I haven't played Mario Sunshine, but most feel Mario 64 was a much better game. I am replaying that again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh that one was easy. Buying a GB player really swung it.

I want a revolution so I can fill in the rest of the fire emblem series. It's only about the size of a sandwhich so it's good for portability too.

Wasnt what I meant. It's a given that the influence system would have to change if you had a different protagonist. But for that particular protagonist how it works makes sense.

Probably need a more direct control method for that. You dont really want the game sending you places you didnt want to be during some animated flipping.

I wouldnt buy one just because. I normally buy after some games I want have appeared. My wife being a much more "rabid" gamer and early adopter than I was previously , thats changed a bit. But since she brought me a Pokemon DS(special thing you can only get from Pokeworld in Japan ) 95% of everything played on it has been GBA stuff anyway. The big money is going to be on whether or not we should buy a second HDTV
