  1. I bet you would change your tune if it was in your front garden.
  2. Bobs hippy march is nothing short of irresponsible.
  3. Doctor Who bonks his way across time and space
  4. Pergaus is good. It's the only time in the game I actually felt mortal. And it's got this unknown/detective vibe going.
  5. Somehow I doubt lovable is a criteria in the design of interigation droids.
  6. Are you talking about the Orange/Brown costume with the black trim? I never liked Evolution to start with, but it really grew on me. Making them younger and having them confront real prejudices while at the same time saving the world worked really well. Rogue of course , well what can you say about her "
  7. I've never played Halo but I rather enjoyed II (not enough to buy but certainly no regrets renting it). Being able to jump onto a vehicle blast it open and then drive off in it gave everything a very immersive quality. I got to be a very good ghost bike rider by the end. The ending was odd. It didnt feel like it was leading up to an ending and it didnt feel like a boss encounter then it was just over with the lead in for Halo III.
  8. Maybe Japanese devs are smarter :D
  9. Thought he did rather a good job all things considered. I dont think anyone could have made the first episode with the plastic people any good. I watched some of Casanova so I'm not exactly thrilled with the idea. But If its rubbish I'll just stop watching not going to get worked up over 45 minutes a week.
  10. 2000 AD is the only thing I've really collected. I was always "discouraged" from collecting comics because of my mothers rather zealous cleaning purges. Although she did let me keep the first 5 issues of each.
  11. Stick a helmet on him and he could pass for Bane.. I'm not familiar with any of those costumes likely because my Xmen exposure is confined to the cartoons and one game
  12. Message boards probably not the best place for career advice. But I think you need to ask yourself a question. Are you not doing mods and writing programs because you cant. Or because you dont want to ? As long as you answer it honestly then you should gain some insight into the route of your problem.
  13. I think one of the things FE has going for it over say D&D's hp's is your only talking about 1 stat per level and there is a good chance that you will hit the characters stat cap even if you dont gain every level. While ten levels of not getting any str isnt "fun" the way you then need to adapt is. in D&D however rolling a one for hp's when you could have gotten a 10 other is always going to be seen as a very serious handicap to the uberness of a character.
  14. http://www.fortunecity.com/tattooine/repli...lverine-new.jpg <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That just links you to the same logo.
  15. TMNT on Jetix. He Man on Toonami. aimo's drawings are a really great example of applying that type of style to a character (since you have the before and after from the original KOTORII characters).
  16. The characters generally grow up faster. Thats been the case even as far back as RoboTech which I watched when I was very little. Teens idenditify with teen heroes, seems logical. Excel Saga is probably the strangest thing I've seen outside of Japan on TV.
  17. Shame there is no such thing as the PC then isnt it. Love to see what a $300 PC would score
  18. I dont really follow the politics, just saw the screenies earlier today.
  19. Got to watch those egg groups. I dont know, I think it's pretty superficial criteria. Since we are talking about randomness. Advance Wars dosnt have any, all units churn out to the same pattern. Your CO isnt on the field so you dont have to weigh up the risks of having to level them up over exposing them to danger etc.
  20. and here are some HOMM V screenies http://eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=58468
  21. Which one came out on the MegaDrive? I think thats the first strategy game I ever played.
  22. off topic but since it's my topic anyway :D A lot of people say that although its not something I've really understood. In Advance Wars you build stuff so individuals matter very little in FireEmblem because of the perma death thing they are the core of the game. Probably why I like it but am not overly fond of Advance Wars. Like your persian btw :D
  23. No such thing as pure luck Not being able to preplan is part of the charm. If you can already predict the outcome of every game. For example if Ken could always kill everything in a single round, then there is little reason to actually play out the events (or replay the game). Since there is little reason to change your underlying strategy.
  24. Not as long as the story is told through the characters. There is simply too much work involved when you dont have character A at point A to do their thing.
