  1. You can say the same thing about gaming in general. Why upgrade a PC just to play a new title? Having a $300 upgrade every 4-5 years is a bargain. New technology offers new possibilities. If anyone is to blame for the lack of innovation it's probably the consumer since they buy more of the same in droves.
  2. Dont see what difference it makes really, if you only going to be watching it. The biggest difference between KOTOR and the movies is the movies have a fraction of the lightsaber fights and they are all heavily coreographed. Copying the movies isnt really an option.
  3. now that IS a gaping hole....at the very least, they need to fix that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It makes sense when you think about it.
  4. Yes and no. It's very story heavy in places but its not like its on rails. SKULLS FOR THE THRONE OF KHORNE.
  5. Ineed but I wouldnt play it for 50 hours. Wizadry is a bad example. It's both phase based and incredibly slow to boot. Baldurs Gate/ IWD are much better examples of a party of six.
  6. Yep definately one of this gens highlight games. They react where you shoot them too, theres something satisfying about shooting them in the hand just before they throw dynamite at you. Probably wont get far in the game without learning the effects of targetting, although a shotgun in the face still does the job (as long as they cant swamp you with numbers).
  7. Sounds boring. Even with hands on controls Jade Empire felt like a major step backwards because you only had one rather useless NPC and that NPC didnt do much (in fact it was most useful when it was sat on its arse). Rather than less, you want more NPCs in combat , and more things to fight against. Dont see it being as much of a problem with the muscle of the next gens behind it. If you want an idea just how insipid KOTOR could be with only two characters, play the first few levels of EPIII where Anakin and Obi Wan are fighting side by side (then imagine that without actually having to control him in real time).
  8. Can you die from uglification ?
  9. Really smart children soon realise that if you get A's constantly then it becomes the expected norm. I used to pull out an A whenever I wanted something, worked like a charm until university.
  10. My vote goes for nutjob. Unless it washes off. Playing Cat Man in Fairly Odd Parents last I saw him.
  11. If I knew what it was I would probably assocaite it with really bad writing and acting.
  12. You know what the say about assumptions. Still it wasnt directed at you if you cant accept that well tough. The line goes to the core of the Sion/Kreia/Nihilus triangle.
  13. T3 probably knows something. In EPIII they wiped C3p0's memory but didnt wipe R2's and he's obviously continuing a long history of sneakyness that began with T3.
  14. He's just following his programming. Save the republic. Because he's a droid he's unemcumbered by morality and anything else that would get in the way of that directive. He's also a good deal smarter than you or anyone else for that matter and can see far more calculations and outcomes. Like seeing a 1000 possible futures which constantly change. Still a sneaky little floaty ball of uselesness though.
  15. White is the new black
  16. You seem to know what you're talking about... Heard of a little thing called sarcasm? It's a form of joking. I like this game, unlike you it would appear, but I don't see any harm in joking about obvious or less obvious shortcomings. You will pardon my dry response. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Had nothing to do with you or your post. So obviously your feeling guilty about something. Had it been a response to you, well it would have your previous post quoted in it.
  17. They come up with some serious special attacks. When you get hit by one of those you know it. Nothing quite like seeing the whole party go from 9999 to 1..
  18. Maybe she locked him in a cupboard on Malachor V.
  19. Oh I was probably too busy grinding my teeth and hoping they would get it over with to notice then..
  20. Lots of people slap themselves over that one , good luck.
  21. Appologies I thought it was Dark Horse.
  22. The console is in the same room as the bomb you need. It's on the far wall. If your having problems seeing it, face the wall and use the next target buttons. Or go outside , leave your party and go into solo mode then come back in the room to search.
  23. Who drew that ?
  24. There are lots of influence gains. Usually manage to find a new one every time I read a thread about it. Knowing where they all are is one of the things that you could call a flaw in the influence system it's quite simple to pack everything into a short space of time but played normally it works rather well, so then you have to wonder is the flaw with the system or the players. Not sure how you could do that as some of Attons influences are unmissable. Jade Empire is like being a baby bird. You sit there and the characters feed you information without any effort. They even have flashing icons so you dont miss anything
  25. Have any lyrics? Cant say I remember it but I dont rate the KOTOR romances anyway.
