Man, you know how to chow. I wanted to post what I'm drinking in the Drinking place, but I was the last one to post there, like, two weeks ago, so what I'm having right now is a middling "white ale" from local brewery Saint Archer. " ... brewed with high quality pilsner and wheat malts, generously spiced with coriander and fresh orange peel. Belgian yeast provides the refreshingly tart, spicy, and fruity flavor." Yep, it's as bland as described. Not bad, more like soda, really, and nothing at all like that Stone grapefruit slam IPA Hurl recommended.

I'm lost now. So there was an old power supply that didn't fan-on at start-up, but also a case fan that wasn't installed but didn't fan-on either ... plus a CPU fan/heatsink not fanning or sinking? And an enclosure that's not hooked up to anything, but then a new PSU that makes noise ... whatever the problem is, I'm gonna need another beer to re-read this thread.

G.H.? In the tube, what was it? A giant? Some kind of Asgardian? Who is Lauralie? How do you spell her name? Why are SHIELD Agents so terrible at close-quarters urban infiltration combat? I have so many questions.

Your missing a timing belt and a flywheel :D /s And bad oxygen sensors. A freeze-plug may have burst, so no compression, either. All the smoke, however, is from burning off all the Snark brand motor oil.

Why won'd developers support laptop video cards?
ManifestedISO replied to JFSOCC's topic in Computer and Console
Holy **** what a good deal. I had no idea you could get an SLI laptop. Sixteen thousand megabytes of RAM, should do the trick. -

Are any of those the giant Australian megafauna I remember from geology class. That's a great idea, if so. -
The Case for Romance.
ManifestedISO replied to NanoPaladin's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Who cares about anything. Scarlett Johansson is pregnant. Now there is no beauty, or art, or romance, or anything worthwhile left in the world. Video game romance is as stupid as a crush on a movie star--no matter how perfect we would have been, together. Oh, ScarJo, why ... -
Ibuprofen really helps my rippling, angry muscle groups. Finally heard back from Xbox Support. All I wanted was a Pepsi. But when I tried to redeem a $15 Xbox Live card, sent by my Mom--who still thinks it's 2010 and wouldn't know what a PS4 or Radeon 7850 is anyway--it crashed into an error code and failed to credit the account, exactly like that broken Pole Position arcade game used to eat my quarter. A very nice lady then chatted with me on XBL Support and said she would need to put in an Advocacy Request. That was a week ago, and just today without warning, they emailed a new code. I really thought they had forgotten about it, but, no. They probably had a few Xbox One owners needing extra special, lengthy attention. So I downloaded Driver: San Francisco--which is apparently all about a ghost in the machine.

Nice save.

I'm sorry, but this can't remain unaddressed. To assign any probability that legal weapons will be confiscated in the U.S. is an insult to our KIA. There is no conspiracy of confiscation, nor will there ever be. Show some responsibility and respect for the gift of empowered self-defense and treat it like the privilege those who died to preserve it, is.

Not so much funny, as horrific. There exists a place in Great Britain ... London ... a tearoom designed for patrons who enjoy the company of cats. A cat cafe. It's a real place, with real cats and real people lined up outside, to drink tea with cats. My dark paladin from PoE has refused to comment on the repugnant immorality of such godless feline worship. http://arstechnica.com/business/2014/03/this-is-londons-first-cat-cafe-lady-dinahs-cat-emporium/

Chinese Muslim terrorists, are you f***ing kidding me. Why you gotta draw lines and break up everybody into rancorous factions with threads like this. It's the inevitable conclusion, you know it is. Severely frowning face.

RIP ... pfft, more like romance in peace. You just spent an hour making a post that does nothing except compel the good guys to put flower stems into the barrels of your hate guns. -
It's this that stops me from buying. Free-movement seems to be getting taxed more in new titles. The sticky and weird feeling I got "controlling" the pirate in AC IV kept me from continuing in that game, too.

Could we derail into making the case for properly indented paragraphs being appropriate or not. -
Whaddya mean, interesting, what did you get, some slutty brunettes, new electronics, sausages, what?

Evidently, lies, deceit, and gossip add gritty realism to game characters, and can now be coded. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/03/game-characters-are-better-when-they-gossip-and-lie/ Edit for relevant quote:

Yeah, man, good luck. So precious are the little ones. God I can't even take care of myself, let alone a helpless, miniature human.

Oddly enough, I dream even more of living in San Diego... The fact that I'm frozen to the pavement, currently, has a way of turning dream into obsession. I feel your pain, as I grew up in UT, 5000' up in the mountains where single digit temps happen at least once per year. And then six months later it's 100F. I have way more snow miles under my belt, than miles under palm trees. Today's monster rain storm dumped so much water at once, that I started hydroplaning at speed on the freeway, which feels exactly like icy roads. -
You did, really? I can't vouch for Navy pukes drinking and singing, or wearing white. Where else did you go, was it in uniform. I remember once, or twice, we had a servicemen swap back in the early 90's with, I think England. They were definitely Brits, they had mottled green and brown utilities and wore berets. Mostly what I see flying overhead here, are F/A-18 Hornets (Blue Angels, annually, too). A lot of whirly birds at the coast, since I actually live a stone's throw from Pendleton and the Marines. Random video game news ... there is no real news until GDC next month.

A cheaply-made German laptop ... those words together don't sound right. Not saying it isn't impossible, just a little implausible, according to the stereotype I have built in my mind. That much RAM and a blu-ray player from three years ago for only 1250 squiggly 'E' moneys seems like a good deal. -

Oh man, I used to dream of meeting mecca in Lake Geneva for GenCon, those ads in Dragon magazine called my d20 soul like mad. But mid-teen nerds don't get to go to mecca, dammit.
