  1. Found this under Known Issues: - When closing the General Store or Goblin Fortress, a crash can sometimes occur when rolling for items/weapons There isn't a workaround, that I know of (there wasn't one listed), but it HAS been repaired in the next patch (release date pending).
  2. Black background, just like the General Store bug? Might be the same bug, given the similar mechanic on closing.
  3. Game designers: "We've created a new video game called Cooperate! The Cooperative game of Cooperation!" The Internet: "PVP!!!!"
  4. I'm working Saturday, and slacking for the next three days. No plans for fireworks yet.
  5. Yeah, I'm still enjoying the crap out of it. Obsidian has my support.
  6. Class Deck Lem has the same number of base skill dice as everyone else. He also has Arcane, Diplomacy, and Divine: Charisma +2; and Knowledge: Intelligence +2. He is my favorite bard (and one of my favorite characters) EVAR.
  7. Also, remember that this was the First Adventure Path. This is how it started. It's been evolving steadily since this inception. In point of fact, from S&S, Ranzak, Lem, Alahazra, Lem, and Seltyiel all have forty "sides" worth of base-skills rather than the 42 everyone else got. However, nobody SINCE has been "balanced" in that way.
  8. You might be able to edit your character decks and whatnot, but you couldn't, for example, unlock characters, adventures, and the C-deck on your save game. That stuff's stored on the server (like Gold is).
  9. I believe they said they currently didn't have plans to distribute this app on the Amazon App Store, which is the most straight-forward was to get it onto Kindles. I have no idea about side loading.
  10. There is another thread (or several) about summoned henchmen engendering perm-close opportunities, but I don't have a link handy.
  11. I play the physical game, and you can "Buy" for free the character sheets for all the characters in the game from paizo.com. You can go here and scroll down a bit to the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Character Sheets towards the left (but not in the side bar). Add it to your cart (price should be 0) and do what you need to "buy" it (which will include creating an account, but shouldn't include providing a credit card). Then log into your account, go to My Downloads (link along the top of any paizo page) and download the Rise of the Runelords zip. You'll find the sheets therein. Note: There may be minor differences between the powers on these sheets and the powers the characters get in the video game, as some alteration has occurred...
  12. Bah. I learned to ride English in Jr. High School. Horses are awesome.
  13. I believe there's a known bug about Kyra's Turn Undead power not providing the Magic trait, or some such, but I don't have a link/thread handy.
  14. Dang. That one outshines the one we got in RL, where our guy was rolling 9d20+21. (113 total)
  15. I'm fine with rich players giving money to Obsidian. It's when they give money to each other that you start getting into weird territory. It's WAY worse with MMOs, since in this case, a "professional" player won't be camping a quest or mob for a specific drop, preventing other people from going for the same thing... Everyone can farm for gold simultaneously.
  16. This is a known UI issue. With the Collapsed Ceiling on top of the location deck (NOT "zoomed" in), drag the card from the top of the location deck to the in-play area in the top right of your screen. You should be able to encounter it normally.
  17. Hrmmm... That IS a pretty compelling argument in favor of not being able to play at all unless online.
  18. There is currently no buffering of gold. If you're offline, you simply don't earn the gold. I believe the devs want to implement something similar to this, but I don't think it's way high up on the priority list.
  19. Hrmmm... Do you still have the Samisen and Orik's Shield in your Gallery? (Are you checking the Gallery from the main screen, or the Vault from the in-game options?)
  20. This seems like way more work than (total sides + number of dice)/2. Though you'll find them mathematically equivalent. Nope. Rolling 10d12 (total sides * number of dice)/2=(12*10)/2=60 ((sides/2)+.5)*#dice=((12/2)+.5)*10=65 You're totally misreading my formula. Total number of sides adding up the number of sides on each die together (so, 10d12 is 120, while 1d4+1d6+1d8+1d10+1d12=40). + is plus, not times. Total number of dice is just that (so for 10d12, it'd be 10, and for 1d4+1d6+1d8+1d10+1d12, it'd be 5). So, for the first example, 120+10=130, 130/2=65<------same answer, easier to do while looking at dice in your hand Second example, 40+5=45, 45/2=22.5 <------ Since many dice pools have multiple types of dice, you're much more likely to do something like this.
  21. But all the powers that use the Offhand trait don't, to my knowledge (I'm willing, as always, to be wrong), involve using the Offhand card to establish the check, and therefore the traits on the Offhand card don't get added to the check, and FURTHER-Therefore, wouldn't prevent you from playing a shield.
  22. For me, it's about Options. Having a small hand size is safer, but gives you fewer options per turn. You're much more likely to fall into a cycle of single-explore no-cards-expended no-drawing-up-unless-you-discard turns when your hand size is small. I like a hand size of 5 for the early ADs, expanding later when I've got a few card feats under my belt. Playing a starting character with a hand size of 6 makes me nervous, especially if it's a pure Arcane caster with no healing. (Currently playing Darago the physical SotRu...)
