  1. This seems like way more work than (total sides + number of dice)/2. Though you'll find them mathematically equivalent.
  2. Had they each completed all three scenarios in Perils of the Lost Coast? The feat comes from completing all the scenarios in the adventure, not from completing the Scenario Black Fang's Dungeon...
  3. When you defeat a villain but the villain isn't cornered (all locations are closed/temp closed), you first close the location from which the villain card was drawn/encountered, and then the villain escapes by shuffling the villain card in with a number of blessings so that the total number of cards shuffled together is the same as the number of locations that weren't closed when the villain was encountered. You pull these blessings from the vault/box. When the villain is undefeated, you do the same thing, except 1) the location where you encountered the villain isn't closed, and 2) instead of pulling the blessings from the vault, you pull them from the blessings deck.
  4. Question 1: Check means you have completed the Scenario on any one difficulty. Blank means you haven't yet completed the scenario on any difficulty. Filled diamond is actually OVER the checkbox to indicate that this is the Scenario you attempted most recently. Question 2: You only ever get a Scenario or Adventure reward ONCE, no matter which difficulty you completed it on. So if you got the feat when you did it on Normal difficulty, you won't get it on Heroic or Legendary (or repeating Normal).
  5. Sometime this month, according to the in-app store. Go to Adventure, select "Fortress of the Stone Giants and look above the Buy button. (Or look at the dropbox link provided above...)
  6. Odd. When you unlock the Skinsaw Mask by playing AD2 through on Legendary, you don't actually get it in a character's card inventory. It just puts the card in the Gallery, and it may or may not be added to your vault in any given (AD2 or higher) scenario. Are you sure you don't mean the Stalker Mask that you get by having Aldern Foxglove and the Skinsaw Man in the same place? That's a loot, and should ALWAYS show as available in the Gallery under Deck 2 in the Loot section (gold crown with a start above and to the right, far right side of the button bar).
  7. Oh, yeah, I wasn't saying "you should expect to succeed at that point", I'm just saying you can start calculating your odds from there. I don't like rolls that are a single die because there's no bell curve leading to middle rolls. I also figure that getting a 2 on every die is reasonable, and I'll stretch it to less-than-3-on-average fairly comfortably.
  8. Work Saturday, see HMS Pinafore with Dad on Father's day (US), play the physical PACG Monday and Tuesday. B-)
  9. Gads. It was summer of 1980. It was a mishmash of Basic and AD&D because we were pre-teens and played kinda fast 'n' loose with those pesky rules. I don't even remember what kind of character I generated, but we used those cut-out chits instead of dice, and we played B2 (Keep on the Borderlands). We didn't so much have a DM as we laid out the map, traced paths to rooms (oddly, traps weren't really a problem), and drew chits to kill things. It really wasn't proper gaming as I know it now, but that's where it all started.
  10. Kind of... And now's the most appropriate time to provide them! Link.
  11. For a shortcut on your average roll, add the number of "Sides" total (d4 + d6 +d8 = 18 sides), plus the number of dice, and divide that total in half. (In the same example, that's 10 and a half). That's the average roll, and you should get that slightly more than 50% of the time.
  12. I believe the Gold Button just shows you the last scenario an individual attempted. If you look REAL closely, you can see if there's a checkbox rather beneath the gold button.
  13. I believe that they very deliberately don't want people removing all the cards they don't want and replacing them with ones they do. The original set was carefully tweaked for each adventure. Now, I like the idea of tweaking the Treasure cards you add (which you can KINDA do by Salvaging, but I'd prefer to keep the cards in a virtual storage area rather than swap 'em permanently for gold).
  14. Uh, if you're in Seattle, WA, you're near Paizo HQ. Check the website under Events for card events in your area. If nothing else, you should try to hit PaizoCon when you can. B-)
  15. No problem. People who play the physical game are tripped up by this all the time...
  16. Sure. But some of the ones I haven't gotten have been obtained by people here on the forums. I'd be happy if I'd gotten some of those. Three of one and Two of another seems a bit skewed to be actually random.
  17. Only treasure cards can, to my knowledge, be salvaged. Ninja'd! Go to your Gallery from the main screen, and tap the Treasure button under "Filter". All of those cards can be Salvaging.
  18. Yeah, I'd hate to think that all the black-bordered cards would be MORE common than the Uncommons I've been getting, and watering down everything else.
  19. Actually, the Devs said that any card that has a black border is part of a bug that got fixed internally soon after it was noted. Hopefully, the next patch will show some sort of change.
  20. It's not supposed to. Henchmen that trigger close have text on them to that effect. Nightbelly Boas do not have that text.
  21. Other people have gotten Legendary cards that I have not. So my problem is not that the cards aren't available. It's that some legendaries seem to have a higher percentage chance of popping than others. I don't know if this is by flaw, fluke, or design. I'm slowly eliminating "fluke", however.
  22. Adding more characters definitely changes the game experience. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses and deserves an individual play-style, and learning these ins and outs is a large part of what I find fun about the game. But picking up more adventures means being able to advance your characters further, which is also quite enticing. Whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll continue to have a great time.
  23. So, with the new chests (and from updating my spreadsheet to accurately represent a few card rarities), I now have: 144 chests, 576 cards. 405 Uncommons (max dupe: tied at 16 Dilettants and Noble Brats), 110 Rares (max dupe: 13 Orbs of Ice), 56 Epics (max dupe: tied at 7 Flasks of Firestorm and Rings of Superior Protection), and 5 Legendaries (max dupe: 3 Brooches of Shielding, with 2 Amulets of Inescapable Location running a close second). I'm missing 4 (of 68) Uncommons, 8 (of 40) Rares, 26 (of 55) Epics, and 30 (of 32) Legendaries. I'm not counting the Black Arrow Longbow as a Legendary since it doesn't come from a chest.
  24. Currently, the accounts created through the Apple game store and the Android game store are different. They are working on cross-platform accounts.
