  1. Yeah, I can confirm that this bug is real, and happens every time as well.
  2. Aah, I see that they've taken inspiration from David Cage
  3. My purple blob has grown up to be a powerful melee expert and a fine timetravelling hero... who constantly taunts the DBZ protagonists and beats them senseless when they take the bait. ...Nobody's perfect.
  4. Dragon Ball Xenoverse for this last week. It's a PSO/MonHun/Destiny type multiplayer co-op loot grind with "DBZ sim" mechanics designed by Dimps, makers of the Budokai games and co-developers of modern Street Fighter games... I do not have a shred of regret that I spent 50€ on this. This game is seriously addictive. Because you can get skills from the Dragon Ball universe (recreated with amazing care) as drops, the skinner box hits hard. Your very fighting style can change from a lucky drop.
  5. Screw Saiyans, I want to be a magical blobman
  6. Strength of The SWORD 3, a tough 3D brawler/fighting game hybrid on PS3, has a Kickstarter for an improved and extended Windows/Mac/Linux version Strength of The SWORD ULTIMATE
  7. Valdis Story: Abyssal City Sadly, I think the stretch goals might never get developed but the game is great as it is, probably my GOTY 2013. But C'MON Endlessfluff Games, the two missing characters are still shown grayed out on the character select screen and the game hasn't been updated in a year!
  8. Gotta transfer that prana Edit: I've caught up on Garo: The Animation. It's solid medieval fantasy sentai, but the mid-series climax had fights that I expected to happen at the end of the series, and some twists that happened during those have shattered the series' status quo. I have no idea what direction the plot will take during the remaining 7 episodes and this pleases me somewhat.
  9. Someone posted rather interesting image showing off how big of a change the weather and day/night cycle can give to the visuals
  10. Finished it and I must say I really liked it, hope they do a season 2 of this. I usually don't watch anime as I got feed up some time ago and I prefer manga, but I must say this one hit the sweet spot, I think I'm going to try looking for more series to start. Hataraku Maou-sama is definitely much, much better than I expected given that it's a light novel adaptation and it seems those rarely get adapted based on the quality of their actual writing. I had expected an overdramatic story with a Gary Stu self-insert wish-fulfillment protagonist surrounded by a bunch of badly clothed women with different hair colors catering to a number of fetishes during dumb and unexplainable fanservice scenes. My expectations weren't entirely wrong, but the story and dialog are actually somewhat cleverly written so that saves it. Do not however watch the other show that the MAL page recommends you, that one is actually garbage while trying to offer a kind of similar setting, western high fantasy (interpreted/butchered by japanese) mixed with modern world. As a random recommendation, I throw Kyousogiga. Imagine TTGL but more about world-building and family relations than big fights (still exist though!)
  11. Which reminds me, are you playing enhanced edition Labadal? If so, how many attacks does Quen block for you? Might be just me playing at higher difficulty levels in EE, but regular Quen only blocked 1 attack before fizzling out. Which isn't great when it's a simple nekker swipe in middle of a group, and you lose your vigor regeneration and up to 25% of your attack power to use it. Vigor affects attack power linearly, 50% when out of it, 100% when full. In Witcher 3 they'd better give other signs more utility from the beginning.
  12. Geralt's hairstyle in the new gameplay footage makes him look bit like an old Jetstream Sam, has a scar on the same eye too. It should be illegal to be that sexy
  13. Other good new ones would be Ping Pong and Barakamon. Former is, well, about ping pong, but the storytelling and style put it above mere sports series. Looks horrible in stills but the fluidity of the animation is amazing. Latter is slice of life about a stressed out calligrapher from the city trying to get his **** together in the country. Then there's the continuing adaptations of both Hajime no Ippo and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. You probably know JoJo, it's basically old style pulp adventure literature but on crack. And Hajime no Ippo? Well, it's the first sports anime I managed to watch for more than few episodes, and it has made me into a boxing fan.
  14. Not only did they keep the level cap at 80, they straight up said "Yeah, we're just making the new area more challenging", which I think a lot of people hoped for. That said, I do hope there are some new lower level areas in the expansion. Something to play with my level <80 alts
  15. Lots of Dawn of War 2 since my friend finally wanted to play through the campaign in co-op. There's a trend where he gets a new character that isn't Tarkus or Force Commander, hates it, then I put some of my previous gameplay experience to use and demolish the next mission with that character. Even Thule had to go through the motions. The magic phrase for him is "avoid enemy rockets like the plague and your Dreadnaught doesn't get instagibbed" Still an amazing game.
  16. God I loved Vintorez so much. There is bullet drop, but because of almost no recoil, extremely tiny bullet deviation, and sub-sonic speeds, it's easy to adjust your aim to compensate with the second shot
  17. Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms, a game that struck me as somewhat Divine Divinity-esque; it tries to be a Diablo-clone in gameplay, but with a larger story and puzzle emphasis. It funnily suffers from the same beginning pacing issues, where the game feels incredibly small and monotonous for the first act because you have one town with a dungeon below it full of mostly 1 enemy type. Then right after I leave the town and begin Act 2, suddenly I'm approached by actual choice (like betraying my starting town to a bunch of nomads) and interesting enemies. What on earth happened here?
  18. Okay, Steam just added a feature that will screw over a lot of bargain hunters. There's a "Lowest Bids" sorting option, so anybody just wanting to get the auction winner badge will target at the cheapest items no matter their own worth, or the buyer's eagerness to actually play/use the item At this moment, if you don't have 1500 gems ready, you can forget winning anything. Maybe a miracle happens and even that trend will lower, but I'm not optimistic
  19. If you put a bid that puts you in the top 100 bidders (or however many copies are left, not sure), the game's auction page will tell you your position
  20. Gem prices are rising as expected. Kinda curious as to how high it'll go.
  21. The gem system is just something that gives you a quicker, better, more stable method of getting rid of your emoticons and backgrounds in your inventory. Don't have to wait for months for them to sell for 1 cent profit, you just turn them immediately into gems, usually 80 gems a piece, and if you have roughly a thousand gems, you can directly turn those into steam card booster packs or sell them on the market. There is an auction really soon that uses gems and there's a possibility that you might pick up a game with gems for a relative bargain. But after that's over, you don't really need to care about your gems except if you game the marketplace or really care about the tidyness of your Steam inventory.
  22. More like first 10-20 or so out of a hundred is just whales trying to outbid each other. I've got 15k gems (2k of my own, 13k that I got for 5€ through emoticons), and I'm still on top 100 list of 32 different titles with ludicrously low bids, roughly 15 cents worth on average. Obviously I'll slowly drop off, but like i mentioned before, that's when I focus up into fewer games as some become too contested. Something like Divinity: Original Sin I backed off from in minutes And while the sniping concern is there, when you're the top bid, the auction system only shows your bid as "2nd place bid + 100" to everyone else until you reach your limit.
  23. Oh yeah it definitely will if you don't build a lot of badges and get a lot of those emoticon/background rewards. The marketplace is (currently) still so full of them that they cost 3 cents and are worth 80 gems each, while cards are 17 gems Anyway, the auctions are back up. I'm gonna initially put tiny bids on a bunch of games to see which ones are just too popular to really properly bid on, then slowly focus up. I kinda like auctions and number crunching
  24. Maybe the situation will be different next time when the auction comes up again, since the gems won't be able to be infinitely duplicated anymore. Though if you're waiting to buy something big and popular with that 900 gems, forget it, since that is basically worth 30-40 cents
  25. One Way Heroics. A fun japanese little roguelite, that has "always move east or the killing dark mist will catch you" as its central gimmick. So if you decide to not pick a treasure, and walk past it, that stuff's gone. I really like it. My first finished playthrough on easy was with a barefisted pirate.
