  1. Leprechaun 4: In Space is a better movie than Alien: Resurrection. The Cursed (2021). I wouldn't say that it's a fun movie, because children being brutally killed isn't fun, but it's a good historical horror film. There's a lot of mist and smoke that can make it hard to follow at times, but it creates a sense of inevitability and dread that works well for atmosphere. I very much liked the monster design despite the CGI. All in all I'd recommend this to fans of horror, it's better than any of the Alien(s) films besides Alien.
  2. Uncle From Another World 2 Ok, this had me laughing several times. Uncle DIO watched Evangelion back in the day and gets mad over the ranking of his favorite Sega game.
  3. I remember FMA was a thing when I was 12 or 13. I didn't keep up with it because I didn't have cable. Somewhat recently (Covid has destroyed my sense of time) I watched FMA: Brotherhood which was ok, but requires getting past some of the more annoying Shonen-isms that almost made me quit out of embarrassment. I think a lot of these Shonen shows would be stronger if they dropped it, but what the **** do I know? The 90's Berserk series is a good start for someone looking for something more serious and can deal with heavy violence.
  4. If the choice was between harm or watching Alien Resurrections, then I would watch the movie. Otherwise, no. It's a very bad movie that has few redeeming parts. Watching almost anything else is a better use of your time. Speaking of bad movies.....Umma. A train of bland that thankfully stops quickly.
  5. Uncle From Another World 1 It reminds me of Komi Can't Communicate in terms of the vignette format, but I find myself enjoying it more. It's low stakes fun.
  6. Fish tacos. Very good, though really carried by the homemade salsa and cabbage. I think I should have spiced up the batter a bit more.
  7. I don't think the almost is necessary. In retrospect though, it doesn't bother me as much as iPad wizardry that happens in some action movies or shows. The chase scene was weak, but I think the rest of film more than makes up for it. It's not Scorsese's best film, maybe not even in the top 10, but I found myself enjoying it quite a lot.
  8. The Departed (2006) It's been a while since I've seen this, and I think it was previously the only Scorsese movie I've seen once. The Bawstawn accents were a source of (unintentional) comedy, but even with that it's a beautiful film. It was nice to see Jack Nicholson in something where he gets to go madcap.
  9. RRR So it's ridiculous. Between the CGI animals and the Indian supermen who can fly, this movie is ludicrous. Extreme camp, could not be sillier of it tried. Somehow it works. The plot isn't much to write home about, the characters are shallow, and the singing is not my thing. It feels like a pastiche of action films, and that's where the beauty lies. When you think about it, Bheem throwing a cgi tiger at British troops like it's a discus is no less ridiculous than some of the stuff you'd see an action film try to do seriously. By making this stuff just blatantly ridiculous and not slapping coats of paint to try to cover it up with serious stuff, it's able to shine in absurdity.
  10. Yes, in the sense that Florida is revising history on order to cover up the blemishes. There isn't any glorification of socialism in public school though.
  11. I saw that and think I'll give it a shot. Especially because the uncle is DIO. It's a shonen anime, they're all obtuse. To defend the panty dash, I think it worked better as a gag that gets what the creepy stalker is more than the chocolates or sausage scene. If they cut all scenes of stalker girl but that, I think it'd work better for the anime than the episodic sexual harassment. When I think about it, after Najimi (who drives 90% of the action), Stalker Girl is the second most recurring character. Not a good thought.

  13. Lmao, I lost the mouse but kept the fingernail sized receiver plugged in for months.

  15. Komi Can't Communicate: The End of Komi-san (until next year) Stalker girl put Komi's leggings on her head like a mask and tried to run off. This is better than the normal because it's more apparent (to the other characters) just how insane the stalker is. The rest is a blur tbh, a lot of the gags are similar, even within an episode. I like the male-version of Komi, but like a delinquent instead of an idol. I can't remember most of the other characters beside their gag. Oh and I changed my mind, Tadano's sister is going to be the serial killer instead of Najimi.
  16. Kaiyo Japanese Whiskey. Very good, it's sweet heavy but not overpowering. Like a mild honey with a bit of spice and a slow burn that gives me a bit of fruit. I'd recommend for fans of Irish and for anyone looking for a smoth sip.
  17. I think there's a big misconception about the ease of official transition, probably due to fear mongering. Even in places where there are trans friendly options, getting official medical transition (blockers, then hrt, then surgery) for adults is usually a very long process with a lot of vetting and bureaucracy. For kids, most likely you'll see blockers at most and even then the transition is more likely to be social in nature. As someone who lives in a place where they have made transition child abuse, I'll say that it should be allowed because the alternative is having kids taken from their parents and dumped into foster care. That's not a good thing at all.
