started work on my Game of Thrones fan art project. Having trouble with Wile E. Coyote though.

Ooo, that one does look interesting. *bookmarked as a reminder* If you find it interesting feel free to upvote on greenlight I'll eventually get into beta, so I'll let you know what I think (once I get in and once it will be ok to say things obviously )

They are just building up for the sieges comming with the DLC. I think in a month they'll dial them back down again.

I'm waiting for Forsaken Fortress Then of course there is Primordia Though I doubt that is your type of game. And as people have proven, you can always turn a game of Civilization into an atomic wasteland

That is because enemies never miss. Only explosives you can actively dodge can miss: grenades, rockets etc. Thus while boses can have amazingly powerful abilities, as you can dodge them if you learn the tells, you can beat them (I find the Volge Visceras are the worst. It is very easy to get the timing wrong when dodging their charge attack...). A raider with an SMG though can't be dodged and as the rate of fire is very high and the reload time is low, he'll chew through your shield and stop it from recharging and your health from regening.

I did not like it. It seemed rather ambitious, but the gameplay was such that I could not play it. Mind you that was a long time ago.

Is that an open world crime game?

I blame Saints Row. Before Saints Row nobody would have called GTA the "serious note".

I read "emperor" instead of "employer"... I think I spend too many of my formative years with Warhammer 40k.

Well it is a small unit tactics game, so it could indeed borrow from that franchise. I would love it with a wierd kind of randomly made 3D turn based strategy map, where you could explore and expand into adjacent parts of the underhive, while other gangs do the same. With a number of premade gangs for the AI to throw a number of them at you each game.

A lot of GW IPs seem to be getting fairly good video game adaptations. I seriously disliked the commentators in Blood Bowl, otherwise that was a pretty solid game. The Talisman game is a very good adaptation of the board game as well. edit: Here is keeping my fingers crossed for Necromunda and Gorka Morka

Yeah, know what you mean. Even though I have gone through the phase where I was telling tales of woe. Until it turned out I got more tired of telling them than people got of listening Now boh telling and listening bores me.

Thanks for the info Wals. I was affraid it might not be too exciting. I think I'll wait a while. If multiplayer isn't all that user friendly and I am restricted to playing with people from my friend list, then I may not get much of a chance to enjoy the game

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a good idea during oral. But I take it this is why you told me you were rethinking the Israel-Palestine Conflict solution?
-
That's your solution for everything, isn't it?

I had played the old DOS game Duck Tales: Quest for Gold that had nothing to do with the Nintendo games or this remastered version, where you had to also fly the plane. That wasn't a very good game, but at that time it was good enough for us that it was a game I played Duck Tales on the Gameboy. While I loved it back then, I can't say I remember it all that well to do a comparison. You still play as Scrooge and you still use the cane to pogo around? Can't be of more help. It plays well though, and in the end that is what counts to me: that it has gameplay that works. If that means that someone who has a working NES and fires it up finds differences, then so be it

Playing Duck Tales. Beat the Amazon level after three attempts at the boss. Level was a bit short. But I am starting to get to that age when slightly too short is better than slightly too long

Sold quite a few of the cards lying about in my inventory. Made 6.50 in a day. Decided to spend 2.50 of those to use a 75% off voucher I had. Turns out I am locked out of my Steam Wallet... again. Because since I moved from Cyprus back to Greece end of December I haven't paid money into the wallet, only paid dircetly with credit card for purchases. I can use the wallet in the Marketplace but not the Store... *sigh*

So far I'm 50% 50% on the gamble Of the two games that I backed that released, one was exactly what I wanted, the other was a real disappointment.
-
You weren't around for "Most Wanted" I think. The episodic pursuit that required you to get 100 PvP kills. You can imagine why I am not touching PvP again
-
I also backed it at $125 I'm a huge fan of the setting and I even backed the other Shadowrun game at $105 A fool and his money... $155 *coughcough* yeah... well I dont have any other vices
-
I should come clear by the way: I backed SR at the $125 level Though I backed Giana Sisters at the $150 level and while I am rather annoyed with those devs (a rant that has no place in this thread) I absolutely love the game they made.
-
You are quoting me, not Rostere I'm seeing a game that got $1,8 million on kickstarter and couldn't budget for basic gameplay features. If I compare it to other projects, with far less prestigious names behind them, like Expeditions: Conquistador and what they achieved with for example $77k, then yes, I am going to be doubtfull of HBS's statements. Especially when they haven't been sterling in their communication. Obviously everything takes time and therefor money to include. But it also takes skill (I wouldn't be able to code a savegame system, then again I wouldn't pressume to ask you for money to make a game. I would ask you for money to build your house though and I would not tell you that running hot water was too complicated to be included) and that means both technical skill and experience with the engine and organisational skill to keep the project on track. Honestly, wth HBS I have less doubt in the technical skills than the managerial ones. The impression I got is that they lost track of certain aspects of the project and then had no time to tackle problems that occured too late.

There was some statement from the devs that a proper save game system would have required extra funds and pushed back release... Same for lootable corpses. I'd wager they'd find similar excuses for everything else *shrug*
