  1. I feel like the Celtics are now the best team left in the playoffs, but what do they have left in the tank after a tough physical series like that?
  2. I'm all for diversity, but it shouldn't be pushed onto media via a metric that's tantamount to a quota. I feel like artist(s) having to go through a checklist and check off a certain number of boxes is not a healthy artistic process. The idea should come first and whatever diversity checkboxes it checks off is what it checks off. Sometimes that produces a game running the gamut of genders, ethnicities, etc. Sometimes that produces a game that's almost exclusively heterosexual 24 year old white guys with crew cuts and 5 o'clock shadow. Promoting a company culture that entices and welcomes artists of all genders, ages, sexual orientations, religions, and ethnicities is the way to organically produce diverse games, but that's more difficult for a company and takes time, so you don't get the instant results that said company can flaunt.
  3. I had steamed pork buns with spinach, they were delicious, on account of being pork buns. I should retire from trucking and become a pork bun street vendor. I'm not sure how viable that would be financially but I would be enriching people's lives by giving them pork buns.
  4. Boston/Milwaukee is headed to game 7, which is the only fitting way for this series to end. It feels like these are the 2 best teams in the playoffs, however I hesitate to write that the winner will win the championship because this has been such a hard fought series that both teams are leaving pieces of themselves on the court. Whichever team emerges will face Miami a battered, worn out squad.
  5. Muh Boys will be 3-6 by then.
  6. The Prime Directive, like any plot device, is only as good as its usage, and that falls squarely on the shoulders of the writer(s). Pretty much any plot device, even hilariously overused ones such as Deux Ex Machina, can be a useful tool if used sparingly and cleverly.
  7. If XeSS remains Arc-exclusive for an extended period of time it's DOA in my opinion, unless it's SPECTACULARLY better than DLSS and FSR, and even then... The irony is that Intel actually has a big marketshare in graphics given their iGPUs, but they are not currently XeSS compatible. Future iGPUs may be, but that does nothing for Intel right now, hence they can't flex their market dominance via proprietary tech like Jensen and his black leather jacket can. If XeSS does become vendor neutral it has to quickly become at least as good as FSR or it's DOA in my opinion. The smartest route would be for blood rivals AMD and Intel to work together to make FSR the best it can be and make DLSS obsolete. I'm not holding my breath.
  8. XeSS will supposedly eventually work on other vendors' hardware, but for the near-term future it's Arc-only. As of right now and for the immediate future, FSR is the only upscaling solution that covers the MSony consoles (no clue if works on Switch) and all PCs (there are probably limits to FSR compatibility, I doubt it will work on TNT Riva 2 ).
  9. A 10 year 375 million dollar deal? Holy ****! That's one heck of a commitment to someone completely unproven as a commentator.
  10. I haven't been following Starfield at all, I didn't even know Redfall was a thing. One game I had no expectations of releasing this year and the other I didn't know was in development so this delay means nothing to me. Hopefully, the extra time means Bethesda puts out a great game for the first time in 20 years.
  11. Winning the MSony console bid for a second straight generation has been a massive win for AMD and is a huge advantage for FSR. A lot of games are simultaneously developed for PC and consoles. If you're a developer you can use DLSS and it doesn't work on consoles nor on PCs with AMD or Intel graphics nor older Nvidia graphics. You can use XeSS and it doesn't work on consoles nor PCs with AMD or Nvidia graphics. Or, you can use FSR which covers all your bases, except perhaps Switch (?) Nvidia can exploit their market dominance on PC, but the console problem is still there looming. Intel is a new player in the graphics space, which means XeSS suffers from the worst of all worlds. All this changes if Intel or Nvidia wins the bid for the next round of MSony consoles, but that's at least 4 years away.
  12. I'll be all over it once it hits streaming.
  13. The Heat eliminated the Sixers. I feel bad for Embiid but they hitched their wagon to Harden and, you're never going to believe this, but he disappeared in a big high pressure game. Weird, that never happens.
  14. I've known about it but lately I've been focused on VtM: Swansong, on account of it releasing in just a few days, hence Steelrising hasn't been on the front of my mind.
  15. Finally, the Victorian Era robot waifu RPG I've been asking for all these years.
  16. @melkathi Magic underwear... Wait, are you playing as Mormons?
  17. I was happy to see the Heat beat the 76ers last night. I don't particularly care about Miami, I just want Philly to get eliminated. I'm torn because I like Joel Embiid, but it would really suck if James Harden, a guy who quit on and forced his way out of 2 teams within the span of 1 year, won a championship.
  18. There's a lot to love about Witcher 1, like the nudie cards you got for sexing up various women and Zoltan being the best, but the combat... *fart noise* There's no weight or feedback to it, you just pick the right combat stance, which is super obvious, then you play a rhythym game that's mostly disconnected from the enemies on the screen. The bigger issue is the ****ing swamp though, that's the reason I only ever finished the game once. I tried replaying the game twice, got to the swamp both times, tried to talk myself into pushing through it because there's stuff I really like after that, gave up both times after the swamp had destroyed my will to continue. **** that swamp.
  19. Al Horford with a career night in game 4, he went absolutely ape$#!+ in the 4th quarter. Giannis was great as usual, but it just wasn't enough. This Boston/Milwaukee series is great, I hope it goes 7.
