  1. Sawx won a wild one at Yankee Stadium last night. They were up by 5 entering the 7th, proceeded to give up a 6 run inning to go down 1, were down to their final strike in the 9th with Mo on the mound, battled back to tie the game, then won it in the 10th. Beating the Yankees is always sweet, giving Mo a blown save is an extra bonus. Coupled with the Rays' loss the Sawx now have the division firmly in hand. Getting swept at The Trop would be the only way they could give Tampa any shot at the division. Sawx are essentially playing for home field advantage now.
  2. Not the community patch, that fixes bugs, puts in better AI, and adds graphical options. The quest packet and content mods add quests. Yes, a good number of them are fetch quests.
  3. Well, you'd only have to buy 1. The 3DS plays DS games and the GBC game is available on the 3DS eShop too. But, yeah.
  4. Pey Pey and the Broncos took the defending champs out to the woodshed last night. Man, that was a beatdown. Still, it's opening game of the season, so I'm not reading more into it than 1 win and 1 loss and that the Ravens have a really shaky secondary, which we already knew.
  5. Well, I mean, it's common knowledge that you can't watch NFL on TV without XBOne.
  6. I know, it's maddening. We're stuck with Jerry for the foreseeable future. I wish he would just swallow his pride and hire a real GM... and actually let him do his job, rather than pull the strings from the background. *sigh*
  7. I like Freeman, but he was bitterly disappointing last year. He seemed to regress. So much of the blame for the Cowboys being stuck in perpetual mediocrity gets put on Tony Romo. Sure, he deserves some of it, but the 'Boys have much bigger problems, the biggest of which is the GM (unfortunately, also the owner).
  8. Correct. Previously it has only appeared on Nintendo handhelds. The first game was one of the very best GameBoy Color games (that unfortunately came out when the GBC was already a dead system), the second was a DS game, the third is scheduled for later this year on the 3DS. This project will mark the first time the series has come to home consoles and PC. It's a metroidvania where you play as a half-genie who whips enemies with her hair and does magic dances to transform into different creatures.
  9. Rejoice! It's that wonderful time again, football season is upon us! Kickoff is tonight, Ravens at Broncos, which is weird, since the champs usually get to play at home for the opener. I'm a Cowboys fan myself, so I'm already bracing for yet another season of heartbreak and disappointment.
  10. Yeah, I know. I wish the Sawx could save 15 of those runs for some other games. A 3 game set at The Trop, perhaps?
  11. I, along with others, left them a comment telling them to change back her skin color. I also prefer the old look:
  12. Sigma Star Saga was pretty good. Shantae is one of my favorite series due to my undying love of metroidvanias... and belly dancing half-genies. Poor timing on their part as Inafune stole much of their thunder, though they'll easily make their initial goal and then some.
  13. WayForward is Kickstarting a new Shantae game for home consoles and PC. Wait, what!? WayForward is one of my favorite current developers and I absolutely adore the Shantae series, I'm just surprised this is going the Kickstarter route. Still, I can't throw my money at them fast enough, I'm always down for more Shantae. It will be nice to get a Shantae on a non-portable. (wel,, I guess my lappy technically is portable )
  14. Man, Sawx brought the lumber tonight. They absolutely went off on the Detroit pitching staff to the tune of 20 runs (20!), including 8 round trippers. It got to the point that I was almost rooting for them to get outs because I was feeling bad for the Tigers. The Sawx have the best home record in the AL, so getting the best record, and the home field advantage that goes with it, would be significant. This wraps up an impressive 9 game home stand where they went 7-2. Next up, 3 at Yankee Stadium, then 3 at The Trop.
  15. My guess would be a splinter in your finger.
  16. Yeah, that was my reaction too. I mean it's one of the most well known and beloved games series of all time, on account of it being awesome. Mega Man was definitely a significant part of my childhood, we played the **** out of those games. I guess I need to recognize that people had different childhoods. Anyway, for their most recent update they unveiled Mighty No. 5 and have a nice step by step of the creation process from concept to refinement to more refinement to this: He's packin' some firepower.
  17. Since the patch that addresses many of the bugs came out, I'm back to playing Might & Magic X. I decided to start over from the beginning so I can do a different mage build, not like I was far into the game anyway. Weapon breakage and the day/night cycle are actually sane now, which is a plus.
  18. Okay, I kind of assumed everybody knew who Inafune was. My mistake. Well, if you've ever played a Mega Man game, any Mega Man game, then you've played a Keiji Inafune game. Notably, he also worked on Resident Evil 2, and more recently the Dead Rising and Onimusha series.
  19. You've never heard of Keiji Inafune?
  20. Black and Green are the colours of House Atreides in the Dune universe. Crap. What are the Harkonnen colors?
  21. I don't really know who Jennifer Hepler is either. Plus take a look at what you get for the contribution levels. $25 for the first 3-5 hour episode. Mmm... no. LOL, $25 for an just one part of an episodic game? Good luck with that, folks.
  22. Half a million is an awfully lofty goal for a game in a universe I've never heard of by a developer I've never heard of. I mean no disrespect, should have I heard of Sime~Gen?
  23. On second thought, maybe I should leave the white as is and dye the currently pink flower parts black? Methinks that would be pretty snazzy.
  24. Yay, I finally got the complete Sunite Garb fashion outfit: Now the only thing left to do is scoop up some black dye bottles (in about a week I'll have enough Zen) and dye all the white parts black. Black, green, and pink? It will be badass.
  25. The thing that bothers me is that even when you are allowed to play a hated race, you generally really don't. Since we're on an Obsidian Entertainment forum I'll use NWN2 as an example. You can play as an orc or a tiefling, yet the game never treats you like an orc or a tiefling. You might as well be a human. I mean, the bulk of the game takes place in a predominantly human city. I should think that an orc or a tiefling (they're freakin' demons for goodness sake) would not be able to just stroll about a human city with no repercussions. I would expect to be cursed, spat upon, and, quite frankly, openly attacked, unless I took care to do some miraculous disguise work. I mean, Neeshka gets some discrimination, but even that is extremely limited. Some of the most fun I had was playing a hobgoblin character in a pnp D&D (AD&D 2nd ed) campaign years (decades) ago. A good bit of the fun was the DM coming up with complications to myself, and the rest of the party, for that matter, because of my race, and the creative approaches and sometimes drastic measures we had to take because of it. Obviously, when programming a video game, having people react to you very differently based on race (or gender) adds a whole other level of complexity to the game design, akin to a whole other group of factions with their own reputation system, so I understand why it's so rarely, if ever, implemented to any significant degree.
