Polish version not translated
Does the translation team (Qloc AFAIK) even work on polishing translation? Does devs provide them info about new lines that were added by consecutive patches? It would be a shame if translation team stop workong on it, cause otherwise they did a really nice job.

Update 93: Patch 1.03 - Important Community Fixes
I think devs came out of this tricky situation choosing lesser evil. They could ignore these rants and put themselves for a hatred of some group of players. They could instead make a mandatory change, because it's their game (financed by backers, but still), but first thing they did is to ASK a guy who wrote the limerick if he's OK with changing it. I'm pretty sure that if he didn't consent to it, they would respect his decision and won't touch it. The only thing I do not like is the part of lack of vetting the content. I'm rather sure that devs also think the guy/girl overreacted out there on Twitter and the change was made only because of their fear about losing PR. If that so, they could just admit it "We made the change, because we don't want to upset this group of players who feels upset about some stuff our backers wrote". Saying it wasn't vetted enough is a bit like showing the rest of players a middle finger. I wasn't upset at all, and laughed heavily. And I do not have any problems with transgender people. It was just a damn good joke, that's all. So, to sum things up - I like they handled it with Firedorn, but I don't buy this vetting stuff. It was vetted all right.

The game crashes as soon as a try to open it...
Pop sorry, but that didn't work for me too. I simply don't have this font on my hdd atm. I may have deleted it using the method Ainamacar described, but can't confirm cause didn't see it either before or after I've done it. Nevertheless the game still crashes, so wither it's different font causing this or something else.

This game needs polish!
Add the fact of not being to play the beta at all to that list...sorry guys but I'm with Marceror with this. Probably the fact that I'm not able to run the bloody thing is a crucial factor...and don't tell me again that's my laptop fault, or that I should re-install everything because of some stupid Unity stuff. That's not the way it supposed to be. My concerns is that devs will concentrate their efforts on fixing the stuff in game and ignore the fact that some people cannot run the game at all...maybe some feedback from them will put some hope into my heart. Yeah, I'm FULLY aware I cannot review the beta itself, cause it's not running form me. So, my concerns are a bit more justified than Marceror's. And yeah, I have as much of a high hopes the game will be a gem as you folks.

Crash during startup
Any news from devs to pin-pointing this crash issue?

Update schedule for the beta...is there any?
DxDiag.txt I had a look at your error logs, it still looks like it as a lack of memory. How much do you have? Posting a dxdiag in your bug thread might help. Vril I have 4GB RAM on my laptop. Anyway, here's my dxdiag.

Update schedule for the beta...is there any?
Vril I use Win7 64 bit, so not all cases.

Update schedule for the beta...is there any?
They should concentrate their efforts on fixing the crashes while starting New Game. Maybe I'll be able to finally play this beta, then.

Crash on new game

The game crashes as soon as a try to open it...
@Pop will it help if I install the beta on external drive, not internal laptop's HDD? Cause I'm not going to re-install Windows and everything else just to play this beta, sorry. Besides I don't think we should "figure out ourselves" why the game is not running, do we? I don't want to find myself in a situation that I will be not able to play the game while released because my drivers don't get along with Unity. I expect it to be fixed by devs, obviously. Sorry for the harsh tone, but I quite don't appreciate to be forced to tinker with my Windows install to fire up the game, really. I know it's early beta, that's why I'm willing to wait patiently to be fixed. I just got impression that this issue could not be handled because it's my (or my laptops) fault that the game won't run.

Beta performance
I would love to see how the game performs...if not the fact, that it crashes on every startup. I really hope that it's just the build, not my laptop. It is few years old, all right, but I played goddamned Witcher 2 on it just fine. Gah, I'm so sad

Crash during startup
Ok, if anyone would come up from the crash dumps if that's something from my laptop ends, not the build itself, please let me know. I'd die to try out this beta

Crash during startup
Ok, so it seems I will not be able to play this build. Constant crashes after picking New Game. The game is in Polish language. I can view Options menu, but the moment I check new game, game crashes. Attaching crash dumps. 2014-08-19_072750.zip2014-08-19_075844.zip

Missing/hidden strings - Option menu (Polish)
Hi, impressions on the beta will arise, now just fired up this babe and some initial findings. Issue descriptions: This one I found using Polish language (not sure if this is language related or general). After picking up Gra (Game), Grafika (Graphics) or Dźwięk (Sound) option windows in Option menu, the names of picked options become hidden. Second glitch is a *missing string* message when hovering cursor on the Polski language bar. Reproduce steps: 1. Start a new game using Polish language (for me it was default choice) 2. Go to Options menu. 3. Click either Gra, or Grafika, or Dźwięk option. Notice that descriptions of picked options become hidden. After picking Autopauza or Sterowanie everything seems to be fine. 4. Click Gra option and hover the cursor on the Polski language bar. Notice *missing string* message below.

Translations
I wonder if translation tools make translating the game into languages that were already confirmed by Obsidian possible (Polish for example). It will be really nice if communiy could do their own translation in case of terrible jobe done by distributors. Yes I'm still worried that Cenega will be handling this and frankly I didn't sleep well last night because of it

Unfortunately, it seems that Cenega will be responsible for distribution and localisation in Poland indeed and Fergus' statement only made me sure that it's the awful truth. I'm not a big fan (to put it mildly) of their distributive politics and localisation skills comparing to....heh...all others... and I'm pretty sure that a group of dedicated and skilled fans plus some proffesional translators who are clearly present at this forum (Ryslaw for instance) are capable to do it better than Cenega. I realize that it's safer for Obsidian to look for distributors who did numerous localizations in the past, but I think selected group of translators not connected with distributors could do amazing work with translation. There are a lot of skilled and compenent folks in Poland who can do it. I now that translating such massive amount of text (I'm excluding voice-acting, cause cinematic translation is I think definitely enough for most Polish buyers) it's not an easy task, but hey, I'm confident that it's doable (and much cheaper for Obsidian). I myself have no problem playing English version, but there are many players in Poland who will really enjoy good translation and they truly deserve it. So, please guys, consider all Your options wisely and don't be so eager to select Cenega as Your distributor. I know You are reading and taking into cosideration many of our opinions at this forum and this is really important for all folks in Poland (and Russia apparently).

Translations
I'm sure you'll have the choice of playing the game in the language of your choosing. Anyway, I'll gladly be part of a Polish translation team. I already have experience with translating games, and I'm sure working directly with the developer on it (as opposed to a Polish publisher, who is in contact with original publisher, with pretty much no contact with the devs to help out with ambiguities) will help make it much better than usual. I'll be thrilled to participate in Polish translation too, if of course Obsidian decide to give it a green light. I have some experience in translating pen&paper RPG's and will enjoy to be part of localization team if ever assembled As for PST Polish translation, It's the only case I enjoyed it even better than English original. It was truly magnificent work You guys have done BG1 and BG2 translations was also excellent. Having such profs ready to handle PE localization makes me even more eager to join such team if it will be ever possible. So as Ryslaw said let's keep our fingers crossed
