  1. The brain makes a lot of waste. Now scientists think they know where it goes An intriguing finding. It turns out we are all being brainwashed.
  2. Steam has DA:I 90% off, so I picked up a copy. One of these days I'll probably even play it.
  3. First three seasons of The Boys is on Freevee now, for those who don't have Prime. It is a pretty twisted series.
  4. I'm playing some more user modules for Solasta, which are a bit hit and miss in terms of quality. Currently I'm running through the "Depths of Darkness" module, which is a re-creation of the old "The Sunless CItadel" PnP module for DnD. It's a pretty decent effort compared to many of these user creations, so I'd recommend it if you like Solasta. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2860765207
  5. Streaming Rogue on Freevee and finding it oddly addictive. At least it's not a police procedural.
  6. The Starship launch video was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I can't wait to see it go through a full launch/recovery cycle.

  8. Not sure if this has been mentioned in here before, but a sequel to the Orphan Black sci-fi series is coming out June 23 on AMC. It stars Krysten Ritter of Jessica Jones fame. I enjoyed the original, particularly the remarkable work of Tatiana Maslany who simultaneously played more than five different and completely unique characters, so I'm looking forward to it.
  9. Using algorithms to decode the complex phonetic alphabet of sperm whales Just, wow. I can imagine it's like trying to talk to a completely alien race. Where do we even begin?
  10. Yes, Shogun was a pretty historical drama. The live action version of The Tick has been available on FreeVee, so I've been amused by that.
  11. NASA's Advanced Solar Sail Has Successfully Deployed in Space
  12. Yes, easily the best of their live action series, although their animated series were decent at times.
  13. I can only hope they learned a few things about more realistic character level advancement, because spending points on attributes every level seems like a poor way to do it. You end up with very asymmetrical characters.
  14. Yeah, you pretty much need to binge the Rebels series first just for the character development. I've been catching up on the new Bad Batch episodes and it seems like the series has taken a much darker turn (and not just from all the night scenes). But the graphics are quite nice for an animated show.
  15. The Fallout setting seems to be on the satirical side. Plus a little humor doesn't hurt, even in a post-apocalyptic setting. Just look at the first few Terminator movies.
