  1. This reminds me of the Japanese capsule hotels, except it's portable and probably harder to keep clean. The 5 Coolest Capsule Hotels In Japan
  2. Remember, Trump has been recorded farting on multiple occasions. This too shall pass.
  3. New Class Of Drug Reverses Paralysis In Mice Just... wow. Science rocks!
  4. The games are so slow now with all the interminable penalty reviews that they're barely worth watching. Adding one more game doesn't really make it any interesting; they need to speed up the action.
  5. Time matters. What you typically get from the vaccine are B-cells that know how to make antibodies to fight COVID-19. When they detect the antigen, they start cranking up production so your body is immediately fighting the contagion. Without the vaccine, you don't have the machinery ready so it takes longer for the body to make the required response. Meanwhile the virus is reproducing itself exponentially.
  6. Yep. Once you reject evidence-based reasoning, all you have left is unhinged fantasy. The rug is ripped out from under you and even the most crackpot conspiracies seems plausible.
  7. The guy really knew his sh... sewers.
  8. Pfizer antiviral slashes COVID-19 hospitalizations Sounds like the medical community is starting to get a toolset of treatments that will significantly reduce hospitalization. Perhaps the light at the end of the tunnel? Or is that a train heading our way?
  9. That's a pie chart of the libertarian party. j/k
  10. There are other ways to look at the global emissions of greenhouse gases. The US is the second largest contributor on a per capita basis, after Qatar. The US has been by far the largest total emitter of greenhouse gases, at 28.8%, while China is at 9%.
  11. This has become how national politics operate in the US now; the party that gains control has a year to implement their more extreme agenda elements, after which they will lose control and just try to hang on their gains. I think this is just expected. As for being feckless, I think the senators are representing the political views of their voters. That's not feckless; that's why they were elected. Both Arizona and West Virginia are right-leaning states.
  12. Large companies basically operate as a planned socialist economy. No wonder they get so inefficient over time.
