Is anyone concerned about Multiclass/Single Class Balance?
rjshae replied to Stardusk78's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)So that all of the character builds will be viable; you won't end up locking yourself into a non-viable character design. Otherwise, do you design for the lowest common denominator and make the game too easy for everybody else? No, a certain amount of balance is necessary. That being said though, it would be enjoyable to have some non-critical path quests be particularly favorable to certain builds.

Is anyone concerned about Multiclass/Single Class Balance?
rjshae replied to Stardusk78's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'm concerned about how many tweaks it is going to take to the final release before it is considered "in balance". Will it take months of feedback? Years? The game play for the initial release will be completely different from the ultimate balanced version, even more so than PoE was.

Well, Google doesn't have stormtroopers, yet. But yeah, always baffled at how much people overshare online - people need to lie more I'm not fond of lying, but yeah. I never give my correct birthdate, for example. That makes it way too easy for the slimey marketeers data analytic programs to track you down.- Funny Posts Inquire Within

- Why no priests of other deities, such as Rymgand, Abydon or Hylea?
rjshae replied to Stardusk78's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Well this may seem heretical *cough* but I think they should leave it this way, along with excluding certain custom subclasses. At a minimum, it provides room for unique characters like Pallegina that can't be reproduced through your character builds.- Funny Posts Inquire Within
- Thoughts on new Death Godlike and Nature Godlike abilities?
rjshae replied to Stardusk78's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)At first glance the Death godlike bonus would seem to synergize fairly well with the monk class. Take lots of endurance damage to power up your abilities, then strike hard when you're at your lowest.- Funny Posts Inquire Within

Today's bit of political irony: Trump, who pays next to no taxes, is complaining that Amazon doesn't pay enough taxes. Heh. Funny though, I get socked for sales taxes every time I shop there. Does the guy (Trump) have an ounce of statesmanship in his rather large body? We might need a dedicated medical team to spot it.- Funny Posts Inquire Within

'Star Trek' mailbox glows at night https://www.cnet.com/news/star-trek-mailbox-glows-at-night/ Nice.- My big hope for thiis game is that the soundtrack won't...put me to sleep
rjshae replied to waltc's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I enjoyed the music track in PoE. It wasn't the least bit jarring and often set a suitable mood for the environment. If the game music is putting somebody to sleep, I suspect it's just not to their particular taste. Musical preferences are a very personal choice, after all.- Created items don't reset daily uses at rest
