I'm waiting for the Andor season 2 to wrap so I can binge watch both seasons, probably followed by Rogue One. Can't wait! Meanwhile, I'm watching the new Daredevil season. What I'm finding these days is that I prefer a low power superhero series as it can focus more on the drama and less on spectacular visual f/x for the various uber powers. Plus they don't overload the cast with power variants. -

I enjoyed Sanctuary, a Witch's tale on AMC+. It was better than I was expecting and was actually more about the drama than fantasy magic. The modern witch hunt tale felt entirely plausible, given human nature. -

What happens when punk does reggae. Jimmy Cliff does a pretty good take on this song. -
A new Planet 9 candidate has been found: Evidence of controversial Planet 9 uncovered in sky surveys taken 23 years apart Hopefully the new survey telescopes coming online soon will sort it all out.

I finished watching Snowpiercer. It was a fun series, even in the scenario is completely implausible. All it would take is one large tree fall or landslide and the train is halted in its tracks. In some ways the scenario reminded me a little of the Fallout series with its mad science experiments in the various shelters. The acting was pretty good though, the characters were suitably flawed, and there were some decent plot twists. It's always fun watching Sean Bean, in this case as the devilish engineer mastermind. Daveed Diggs was a good casting as the charming revolutionary, and I enjoyed Jennifer Connelly's work as the icy train engineer. Another favorite was Bess Till, as a truly tormented soul. All in all an enjoyable cast. -
Well, on the positive side, inflation from tariffs is presumably a one-time thing, unless orangeman decides to keep increasing them. The bigger problem for the economy is the level of instability displayed by his decision-making process. It's the type of behavior that creates problems for businesses trying to budget for the next financial year. I'd expect that businesses will become more cautious and conservative, stock-piling against future tariffs, avoiding risky investments, and limiting new hires. Growth will slow, jobs will be harder to find, and the economy will slump. Combine that will a loss of government jobs and a reduction in research. I don't see a formula for positive growth.
