I don't think we know enough to say that. What we do know is that it's one of the few games to really look next gen. Not even BF4 has these kinds of visuals. I'm glad it's third person shooter instead of FP. Gameplay looks solid, not sure about that crazy map UI though. I'm usually not interested in MP games but this has me intrigued. Of course with Ubisoft as publisher my excitement is tempered a bit.

Does strategic placement even play a role? Not sure I could go 30 hrs listening to Alvin and the chipmunks anyway.

UK Muslims targeted for speaking out about terror
licketysplit replied to Walsingham's topic in Way Off-Topic
One question: is any religion more violent on a global scale than Islam? Are Christians, Jews, Mormons, Pagans, Buddhists causing violence in the name of their faith like Muslims are? And perhaps even more importantly from a Muslim perspective, do they have 72 virgins waiting once they splode themselves? Since Islam does its best at sexual repression, those 72 virgins seem mighty tempting, -

Different group for the Boston bombings? It was the same group - Islam. Same violent ideology. -

Sweden's been top of the list in atheism for years now. Goddamn heathens and their common sense... As for the ladies, we all know Russia leads in that.

Religion. You keep assuming I'm coming from an extreme right wing stance when I'm not. I'm against dogma and untruths that are inherent in all three Abrahamic faiths. Why do Muslims feel the need to protect and defend the true image of Islam anyway? One would think an omnipotent being could take a little criticism. Of course what that statement implies is that any vocal opponents of their faith will be met with active opposition. A stance not compatible with western democratic values. That is true of all religions, so why single out Islam? Why do Christians feel the need to protect and defend the true image of Christianity anyway? Why do Jews feel the need to protect and defend the true image of Judaism anyway? I assume the answer is something along the lines of "because our faith is important to us and we find it insulting to see it dragged through the mud". Oh and spoiler, I'm an Agnostic. Because the thread is about Islam. And right now Islam is the religion that needs to be scrutinized and questioned the most, given the political agendas Muslims around the globe are willing to lump into their faith. Not to mention the methods employed to achieve their goals. As for having one's faith dragged through mud, that comes with the territory in a democracy. And rightly so. -

That wasn't meant to be taken literally, I was highlighting the language they used. But it's a moot point until Muslims can agree on the 'true' image of Islam as well as who should be the collective voice. That should keep them busy for another thousand years. -

Checked out their directive, found this gem. Protect and defend the true image of Islam, to combat defamation of Islam and encourage dialogue among civilizations and religions. So in other words: bomb first, ask questions later. -

California isn't REAL America, with Boy Scouts, apple pie, no filthy minorities polluting the streets, and family values. California is a cesspool filled with non-whites, ethnic food, science, and tolerance. And at least a few dozen illegal immigrants. -

Are these the same people that blew up the twin towers and shot JFK? I'm pretty sure egalitarianism is something to strive for. You generalize, but what he says is true. Sharia is debated in England and the Netherlands. But maybe it's up your alley, I don't know... -

If you re-read it you'll see there are several meanings offered there, you just picked the one you happen to like. And if your definition includes expressing you own identity in the manner you (not society) see fit, such as having a harem of wives and beating them to keep them in line, then I'm sorry for you. The definition I would pick involves the refusal to assimilate (as indicated in the last line) and refusal to conform to societal norms (because hey man, my culture is every bit as good as yours, so what if we burn widows and kill female children). I guess you want to address the legality of multiculturalism, how droll. We shouldn't have to even say that the laws of the land apply to everyone regardless of culture. Let's keep this conversation interesting instead of resorting to lazy what-if scenarios. I still really don't see how any of the definitions fit yours. There is no legality for Multiculturalism. But there is making excuses to look egalitarian. You and Allan fit the bill. -

Different people in this thread have latched on to their own definition, it's helpful to understand which one it is. So...I'm a bit confused. Do you feel that fits your definition? That seems to fit my definition pretty clearly, mainly the multiculturalism is a society “at ease with the rich tapestry of human life and the desire amongst people to express their own identity in the manner they see fit.” Do you really think that's a fair description of America? Try to cite something outside of your own anecdotal experience. -

After your previous diatribe towards me for failing to answer your question in a different thread, I find this response positively hilarious. I'll take your answer as a "no." Lets go on a journey with this. Is it safe to say that you are a contributor to the "failure of multiculturalism?" What do you want, for me to learn a foreign language while I live in the states? Which one? Ok, I want to learn Japanese. Happy? -

As soon as I move to another country, I'll learn that language. Hell, I'd even go out of my way to learn Canadian. It might take all the air out of my balls but I'd do it. -

To be fair, in God's country, English isn't the official language. We have no official language, unofficially it's English, but it's still unofficial. In fact two states have another language besides English which is part of the State's heritage or something. New Mexico and Louisiana. Take a guess at what the other language for those two states are. It's too late to try make it a official it at a Federal level as well. Bull****. The least a person can do when immigrating here is learn the predominant language. That's English. Any other country expects the same.
