you need to remember that French tanks historically have only reverse gear, so there is that.

At this rate we might have a unique anniversary in 23 years. Just enough for current wave of immigrants to bring another generation to adulthood.

Technically true, but then I would probably not be buying any games today. I am not saying it was the right thing to do, but it was a reasonable thing to do considerig cost vs risk and cost vs income ratios.
-
I thibk that the last part is a bit too much. But going back to the reason. If you are spending n3arly 10% of a monthly income for kids game you want to be sure it will be good. You had no such guarantee so you would get as a kid a pirated version for 4USD i and then that cost is ok for the risk involved. I was buying originals of games i liked. Planescape for example. But the ones i was not sure of i would not hesitate to get it from a "pirate"

Bruce why would they suddenly be of much better quality than immigrants in the past from Turkey or Algeria?

I admit when i was young i had a collection of pirated games. Now i have steam origin gog libraries and i probably did not even touch like 60% of games there.... Try to make a point to parents to spend 25-40USD on a single "computer game" in a country where average monthly wage was at 480USD

Bruce take an educated guess. People hardly knowing english in best case scenario with education probably not greater than high school in vast majority of cases. How well do you think that they will integrate? Oh plus remember that they have to have their 5 prayers a day facilitated. I sure see them making stellar careers right of the bat...

So you want to tell me that what they believe in has 0 influence? I agree o monetary-educational conditions but the matter of religous views is also a factor and in their case quite a big one as it is taking over the way of life. Even in US there were issues recently that muslim immigrant workers were fired because they wanted to pray 5 times a day all at the same time and did not want to go in smaller groups in order to avoid heavy dsiruption of the production cycle.

I'd put Syrians in the "" becuase a lot of those Syrians are probably from other islamic states in the region. So far the only correlation is that the more immigrants from muslim countries the higher rates in the sexual assaults and murders.

After the mess the SCL was i reinstalled NWN and boy that game is a better DnD in every aspect. I even made 2nd folder and entered Ravenloft Persistent world. It was a decent experience if you are not looking for constant action. I actually had 0 combat over 3h of gameplay last night and boy it went fast.

@Drowsy I wanted to get to the original source, but NY Times is good enough, as it is in English These are source articles i believe: http://www.dn.se/nyheter/sverige/assaults-at-the-stockholm-festival-have-never-been-fully-investigated/ http://www.dn.se/nyheter/sverige/questions-and-answers-on-dns-handling-of-events-in-the-kungstradgarden/

Seems that we have even worse cases of manipulation. I will try to gwt a direct link but it seems that during last summer's "we are sthlm" sweden police deliberately hidden facts of sexual assaults by afghan and other immigrant males to avoid giving arguments to Swe anti-immigrants. The article was released recently by Dagens Nyheter. I have no idea what medium that is, but the action of the police is deapicable and unacceptable! It was so bad that thwy even wanted to create seperate sectors for males.and females, yet in rwports there was 0 mention of the incidents. Nice f'kin PC. More of it please.

To be honest, I'd prefer a "dictator" (aka a monarch) that can see beyond his next elections cycle. The problem with is that you cannot really predict who will be that dictator. If it is someone who will push your country to better state or will it be some power abusing idiot ruining own country and society. Democracy is flawed, because it gives everyone the same vote value (100 idiots can vote that 2+2 = 5 and the smart guy will have to accept it) and it is constrained by election cycle, so half of the time is wasted on building image for next election. It also makes ruling parties not look forward further on the big picture and constrain them from making decisions that would be unpopular in a short term but would bring benefits in the long term. Each government type has its own flaws, after all Nazism came to power through fully democratic means.

I've made myself last 2.5 year off from my career, now recently i got back to investment banking. I've used to travel around different parts of the world, mostly EU and NA though due to easier visa access (including an open work permit) and less language barrier. I've been living the life of a poor immigrant on occasions and working some low paid jobs with people from far east, India, South East Asia, Eastern Europe and also Pakistan, Afghanistan, Algeria, and a few other countries. This traveling experience actually made me in some way a bit of racist towards some and towards others gave me more confidence based on behaviors I had to live with and observed. For example I became more averse vs "blacks" especially in NA, even though I know i should not generalize, but at a certain income level you just meet kind of people you might get defensive towards to after some experiences. Same goes for muslims. People from South East Asia (Philippines based were the most I've met) were fairly open, cheerful and would not bitch that much even if the economic conditions were not so great, Chinese were also friendly although they would not really include you into their "pack". I could write a book on my experiences, but trust me, It is not mere theoretical talk, that most people tend to practice. I only regret that I missed the window of opportunity to go to middle east before all this mess started. 10 years ago I should have used the opportunity and visit Syria, Kuwait, U.A.E, then Saudi Arabia and finish it with Israel (cannot do the other way around, they did not really like Israeli visa on passports of people who would want to visit Arab countries)

The main issue is, that people from vastly different culture do not really want to assimilate. All EU countries are more or less the same in terms of their cultural background. The main obstacle is the language, which is easily rectified in the 2nd generation. People from Non-EU sphere, i.e. North Africa, Middle East, Far East, India - they do not really assimilate even in 3rd generation, as they all live in same neighborhoods use their own language for basic communication etc. The people from India and China region are not really problematic, because they had a fairly peaceful cultural view and can easily co-exist, even if they do not really see favorably cross cultural relationships. People from Muslim region part of the world on the other hand are set on confrontational mindset, even if to tell you how you should be behaving etc. Show me a percentage of fully assimilated families originating from muslim world, i.e. they speak only your national language unless no other choice, they see your local national holidays as primary holidays, they can clearly separate religion from the daily life and understand in practice the core values of freedom of faith and other personal freedoms, and have nothing against having their kids forming relationships with people from other cultures...

around 13h of Beagle getting pasted by his own modded upped difficulty: http://www.twitch.tv/miss_jamball/v/34097623 There were some nice gameplay reveals. For example the major one being that a pod that is quickly losing, its last member will run off to nearest enemy pod and become a part of it leading it to your soldiers.

Anyone else watched Beaglerush stream XCom 2 modded preview build last night? Also thoughts on some recent reveals by Firaxis (yesterday stream and press releases)

Reality is, that they dug their own grave themselves. now they just have to pay off the debt. Take it as a form of punishment for being "edgy" enough to avoid paying taxes and milking public money. I still remember the funny view when like almost every house had a metal pipe sticking out to prove a point that it is still under construction or some such and they did not pay the full property tax (that was Crete 14 years ago). After all thieves who get caught get to prison and ruin their lives, same goes for Greeks who thought they are too smart for anyone to find out about their lies. -

The social engineering is coming from your neoliberals and their obsession with austerity and worship of the market. It should come as no surprise that the recent austerity and privatization in Greece has resulted in Greek women whoring themselves out to eat and German businesses buying up recently privatized utilities. Because austerity in a depressed economy does that. So have fun you guys in the PIGS, if you're lucky enough to land a low-wage job just think of how your hard work is benefiting some kraut. But I'm sure Merkel is a closet commie and all these private enterprises are just fronts for the coming socialist vanguard. If greek would not lie about their statistics, and would have less governmental sector and social spending in the first place, there would not be the greek crisis as you see it. There is no other than stupid people believing populist governments to run their countries. if you borrow money at some point you have to pay them back. -

EU at its core was about economic freedoms and it was an economic project because increasing overall wealth and making the economy tie together various countries was suppoused to prevent social unrests and prevent future military conflicts among European countries. In short, no more breeding ground for a second hitler. The social engineering came with left wing ideologies thinking that we should share this walefare and civilized conditions with those poor people from other parts of.the world. And this is slowly leading towards destruction of EU and will most likely.lead to major unrests and possibly military conflicts within 80-140 years on the EU mainland.
