  1. Of course not! I'm a fully paid up member.
  2. Says the tool... That's funny. I'll now leave this conversation and allow you to continue with your outstanding effort at representing theism in all it's glory .
  3. lol, as an atheist myself, you can take it from me that the vast majority of us have no desire to attack religion, any more than we feel a need to attack Greek, Egyptian, Babylonian or Aztec mythology. Besides, believers do a far better job of discrediting religion than any atheist could possibly achieve.
  4. The idea is not bad, but the implementation and execution was goddamn terrible. But I think like many others, for mods, much better solution would be donation based workshop. If Valve were genuine regarding this being about improving the quality and number of mods, and not about revenue, I'd be more inclined to believe them if they implemented something like a Dev Workshop where modders selected for releasing quality mods could be tutored by developers from various studios who enter into some sort of agreement with Valve. They could set up forums accessible only to those selected for the workshop. Mods developed with the aid of dev tutors could then be sold on Steam with a revenue split between modder and studio.
  5. Hear! Hear! I just mowed all my neighbours lawns and not one of the cheap bastards gave me a cent. What about all the hard work I put into mowing all those lawns? It's not like I had a choice abou...... d'oh.
  6. Nah, I'll just search for it on PirateBay.
  7. Is the next step going to be Valve enforcing locked game files so games are only able to be modded with Steam "authorised" mods? It's the only way I can see paid mods not simply being freely distributed by independent mod sites.
  8. ME4, for me, is a definite wait for after release reviews. The change to a more open world approach is my biggest concern. BW (recently) is at their strongest with tightly scripted narrative and action which is where DA:I went wrong imho. DA:I lacked direction, it meandered along with no real urgency or cohesiveness. If they bring that sort of open world design and loose narrative over to the ME series, I can see myself not bothering with the game (possibly the series).
  9. Pillars of Eternity Kickstarter Hero Edition. Steam or GoG?
  10. I think it's based on your character background. I chose labourer for my monk and occasionally see a response with [Labourer] preceding it.
  11. DA:I is currently 50% off on Origin. After watching my niece play the game, I don't think that's enough of a discount for me to commit.
  12. I don't use stealth all the time, even in dungeons. Most traps have a visual clue on the walls to let you know to turn stealth on, usually a small spout or odd feature on a wall or floor. I also only go into stealth after clearing a room to quickly find any hidden objects. Anything that I miss....oh well, plenty of other loot and craft-able/enchantable items in game.
  13. From my understanding, yes. The backer copy is a DRM free copy of the game that is separate from the Steam or GoG key you will get from the backer portal. Are all the digital rewards tied to the generated key or are they tied to the backer portal account? I wouldn't want to give away all the goodies with the digital key.
  14. There is an option, your option to not read any line you choose. Personally, the more writing the better.
  15. Moved to "Way off Topic" for some obscure reason, http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/70910-seven-dragon-saga-by-tactical-simulations-interactive-tsi-ks/
  16. But surely you must share my concern, have the team involved in this KS actually created any games since the SSI days? David Shelley has mostly been working on mobile and facebook games most recently. https://www.linkedin.com/pub/david-shelley/6/158/315 As far as I can tell, Broderick Macaraeg has also been working on mostly mobile gaming. Edwin McRae was narrative designer on Path of Exile and has worked at a number of studios over the years. http://www.edmcrae.com/about-edwin.cfm Jarno Sarkula has written music for a number of games. http://www.stakula.com/ That's all I could find with a quick google search.
  17. Damn, editor wiped my post. Can't be bothered retyping.
  18. Heck, I'm feeling generous. I'll even pay the first $50AUD towards the postage.
  19. Not a game, but I have a XFX 2gb Radeon HD 6950 (used, still working) to give away if someone wants to pay postage. Probably not of much use to anyone outside Australia due to postage costs, but here is the Australia Post site to find out estimated postage costs. I'm guessing the box weighs about 1.5 to 2 kg. http://auspost.com.au/apps/postage-calculator.html
  20. They recently changed the UI in one of the patches and I think it is much worse now than previously. Many of the interactions that were previously on the main character pop up screen seem to have been moved to obscure locations. Some can be accessed by right clicking the character portrait such as the betrothal options you were looking for. I hope they undo most of the UI changes in another patch.
  21. isn't PoE on Steam already? I thought a lot of higher tier backers had multiple keys I'm fairly certain that I get an extra key at the tier I backed. Just give me a PM when the game is released to remind me and I'll pass it on to you.
  22. Doing my part for the global economic recovery.
  23. The only game I remember from back then that had three brothers was Faery Tale Adventure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Faery_Tale_Adventure
  24. He seems to be fairly active on the BW forums. He posted that he was rather busy with the KB&M control patching QA though.
