My guess is we'll get an update once they've patched WM2 a couple of times. I think this is their planned release schedule, not simply a delay. They'll wait until WM2 is stable so they don't have to do updates for the DVD more than once or twice.

I mean, the graphics card is far and away the most important component when it comes to gaming. The truth is that CPU performance, in terms of raw horsepower, has seriously stagnated over the last half decade+. Much of the problem comes down to AMD's complete and utter inability to compete in the mid-high end desktop sector (aka The Bulldozer Botch), so Intel has has zero impetus to push IPC gains and has instead concentrated almost fully on energy efficiency. The difference in raw horsepower between an i5 or i7 from 4 generations ago and a brand spanking new i5 or i7 is shockingly small. It actually has almost nothing to do with AMD or Intel, and is simply a result of current technology not being able to meet the desire for higher clock speeds. It will be at least a decade before new technologies such as nano tubes and graphene are able to be implemented. In the intervening years I expect to see other solutions, such as multi processor motherboards, becoming more widespread. There is also little need for higher clock speeds until other pc technologies catch up. Most pc aren't restrained by their cpu's, but by things such as RAM and HDDs. These technologies need to catch up to cpu technology.

What motherboard are you using?

I don't think they will do that I would love to have that as well, but unfortunately, I completely missed that expansion was available as an add-on Just got a reply from Mikey Dowling that 2.0 should be on the download page by the end of the week, and they are currently working on how best to deliver the expansion for physical disk owners. I'm assuming they're looking at things like possibly having an activation key generated on your account page similar to the way you generate a GoG or steam key. Once they give official confirmation, leo1984, I'll pm you the GoG key for The White March.

I would also like an answer to this. Also, where is the download page for the physical copy patches? I think I've clicked every single menu link on the Obsidian website and found nothing. Edit: Okay, found a link to the patch download page ( no 2.0 though ) but it would be nice to have a link on the PoE homepage.

If someone wanted to play a game without paying for it, they would visit Pirate Bay, not Steam. It is vastly easier to pirate a game than to purchase it on Steam, only play less than two hours of it and then request a refund. I personally think that Steam refunds now actually make pre-orders a reasonable practice. Pre-orders give a publisher an indication of a games popularity yet they can no longer rely on those pre-orders as guaranteed income for a substandard product. If the game is crap, the refunds ensure those who pre-ordered have a viable recourse.

I didn't buy Enemy Within, and unless they're totally reworking the game mechanics I don't think I'll buy this one either. I wasn't a fan of the change to one action, one move and the concept of skill trees and classes. For me, it overly limited my tactical and strategic choices and reduced the impact of losing a soldier. I felt like I was playing a turn based cover shooter.

Implosion gun?! *drool* I hope they have some meaningful squad customisation this time. They kept shouting about how they have PERMADEATH!!!, just like the original. Yeah...no. In the original you cared about losing men because of the stat increases that made each soldier unique and the time invested in them to create that uniqueness. It lost any impact when the only difference between a recruit and a veteran was the colour you chose for their armour and 3 or 4 missions.

Seriously people, you're trying to have a rational discussion about religious belief? Haven't the shifting goalposts clued you in to the futility of that? Her argument that BW are atheistic satan worshipers has changed into an argument that skepticism ruins the fun. You are wasting your time.

Doesn't the bestiary entry tell you which sign works best and which potions to use? I don't have the game but the vids I've seen rely on the bestiary for information on how to beat creatures.
