  1. They've said that the level of VO will be around the same as Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. The Voice actors may not even be goals, might just be announcements ... but it'd make more sense as a goal ... at 3 Million you get Jim Cummings, Grey De Lisle etc etc

(was it a v3 or the 1.1a? 1.1a is hard to find but v3 is still pretty common) Great mice hey. I have a v3 as well.
  3. Mods will be using that Nexus place, so no it won't be any different I don't think.
  4. Steam will automatically update the game, whereas on GOG you will (most likely) have to manually update the game. However I'm definitely getting the GOG version. I am not a fan of steam. I prefer the old school way games were installed and managed.
  5. In the moderately tempered early morning outside the closed doors of Obsidian Entertainment's downtown Irvine, CA headquarters, a line of ethereal beings wait outside their doors eagerly awaiting tomorrow's Project Eternity in-game demo screenshot. As I write this it's around 9:30PM Eastern Australian Daylight Saving Time. Obsidian have stated that Kickstarter Update 20 will be launched at precisely (~) 10:00AM PDT, which is 4:00AM my time. I do not have uni or work tomorrow, so I'm camping out until the update! I've got 3 bottles of coke and plenty of music to bide my time, although I've exhausted all TV show episodes for the week, so later on I may have to plug in my old 22" CRT monitor (my 24" is up in the bungalow) and break out an infinity engine game. 6.5 hours to go My predictions for tomorrow's update Last week (or the week before), Feargus stated that their VO Director guy was on honeymoon, my bet is he's back now and they'll have something to share for us there in the Voice Acting department. I think the update tomorrow will include (besides a new tier and some add-ons) and Josh's lore. Screenshot Player Stronghold Voice Acting Perhaps an announcement on Composer (go Justin) or Portrait Artist Maybe the 2 unannounced races 3 or 4 more stretch goals and hopefully I'll get my interview back so I can put it up before the weekend. (now playing: Isis - Wrists of Kings)
  6. I want a Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion as my Stronghold. That would be amazing!
  7. yeah I've watched the video, it's the same as what he posted on formspring I believe the formspring post was after the mattchat
  8. First and foremost, this is not a dig or a complaint about the current up-in-the-air spellcasting system that Josh Sawyer has been talking about on the forums and on his formspring account. This is a discussion where we can discuss the potential advantages and disadvantages, and perhaps unforseen problems with it. I've just come fresh from a lavatory session where as you all know, many ideas and realizations come from, and this particular unintentional feature of the system kept bugging me, so I thought I'd bring it to the forums. for some history, here is Josh's recent formspring post concerning spellcasting This sounds pretty good. It's in the same vein as the vancian D&D style system we all know (and love?), but attempting to resolve some of the issues with it on RTWP PC games. One problem I can see though is this (and it's all relative to other game mechanics, so it may not actually be an issue): Let's use Sawyer's example. Party is getting ready for the main encounter to a quest which they have decided to solve through battle. It has been the party's experience that these types of encounters tend to last between 1-2 minutes realtime not including paused time. To get the maximum spell-casting efficiency out of Aloth, the player has him expend all of his 3rd-level spells immediately at the start of the fight so that he has the opportunity to cast all of those again by the time the fight ends. He then (with exceptions where needed) casts all second level spells and first level spells to make maximum use of the lockouts. The issue here is that the optimal method of spellcasting may be casting spells all same level spells together in a sequential order and or spell levels in a sequential order (up or down), which does not make combat that tactical really. However this issue is tied to the time encounters take, the lockout times of spell levels, what spells are available in the grimoire and how many spells of a level a grimoire holds, the developers may be able to fix this problem. What do you guys think?
  9. 3 Million will be a Player Stronghold like Crossroad keep I hope there's a music one and maybe an extra race or something.
  10. I'm happy with the BG or IWD system. Doesn't bother me /savescummer
  11. I've made my decision, now I have to deal with the consequences Subway Apathy crawls in me.
  12. I just realized that my title could potentially end up in a disaster of people mistaking it for having something to do with 'eat fresh'
  13. No? Because I do ... but then again I live close to Melbourne and there's large punk and metal scenes there, so patch jackets (and bags) are quite common.
  14. I pledge my services, but I will be doing absolutely nothing but increasing my pledge! Subway Apathist of the Obsidian Order.
  15. I actually can't think of anything without having to go looking obscure stuff up. In that I'd say all bases covered.
  16. The 2nd edition system was actually pretty good At level 10 you just got a static number of hit points + bonus HP per level.
  17. One of the coolest things I've ever gotten in a boxed copy of a game was by far ... The Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings Civilization Attributes fold-out (4-piece cardboard foldout) It would be cool to get something like this included in the Collector's Edition Box of Project Eternity it could include Race and Class information, Stats information, and Skill trees or something like that (just general race and class foldout of some sort) But yeah just a hint, paper doesn't last like cardboard does.
  18. I mentioned in one of the threads that there's sure to be a bunch of professional musicians in the 55K people that have backed so far, why not have some of the pieces of music for the environmental sound (at least) performed by the fanbase?
  19. I understand not being able to have boob-plate but hopefully we can have boob-cloth for such purposes as those.
  20. okay I sent my email away, there ended up being 9 big questions with mini-questions inside them and 6 personal questions mostly non-PE related I'll start working on the article tonight and paste the interview in as soon as I get it back, then post it up on CG. I included (loosely) some of the things people posted in this thread, it just depends whether they answer all of the questions.
