  1. Josh, I envy you for leaving Wisconsin... It's cold and ****ty here. Have all quest-specific items been designed already, or is there a possibility our items could be quest rewards? Also, what's the deadline to submit our surveys? And for anyone else designing an item, if you'd be interested in getting involved in designing a piece for of an entire set of armor, please PM me. Need 4 more folks to make it work. I'd like it to be full plate, but other than that I'm completely open to backstory and design.
  2. Yes. This is why I was under the impression we were going to get our own forum to discuss this stuff. I would also be interested in getting together with 3-5 other folks to design a full set of armor (chest, helm, gauntlets, boots, etc). It would be the most kick-ass player made collection in the game!
  3. We will be reviewing and giving feedback for Surveys at some time in the future. I'll talk to the team and see if I can get more specifics for the surveys and how we'll be doing feedback. Rock on, thanks!
  4. It is resolved, thank you! Now next question-- wasn't there supposed to be a forum or contact person to discuss our ideas and at least get a few quick answers to questions regarding what we can/cannot do with regard to item creation? Such as... What materials can I use? Can I use exotic stuff, like dragon bone? How crazy can we get with bonuses/abilities?
  5. Win 7, latest Internet Explorer 11.0.9... The Surveys do use JavaScript, so if you're disabling JavaScript you'll have some issues. We're still looking into this. Java is enabled.
  6. Have they announced Baldur's Gate III, yet?
  7. Win 7, latest Internet Explorer 11.0.9...
  8. The dropdown menus are still not working.
  9. Also, have they given us a deadline, or not? Haven't seen it if they have.
  10. Same here... Has anyone contacted support?
  11. You have summoned the Lephys.
  12. I want appeasement. Time to sacrifice an intern.
  13. I feel claustrophobic in games now when I cannot tilt the camera to see the horizon or rotate to see what's around me. P:E will be a nice throwback, but games with 2D fixed perspectives are not something I'm generally interested in. NWN was about as far back as I'd prefer regarding a camera I can manipulate. I could care less about graphics-- 2D or 3D in RPGs. But I need to be able to look around, and the only way to do that is with 3D engines.
  14. I think we're more buttress-like. Not pillar-esque. I prefer to be a buttress.
  15. I guess first of all, the game isn't going to "fail" because of the design. If they don't make a penny in retail, it's still pretty darn successful at $4+mil. That said, not having a rotating, tiltable camera is my single greatest peeve about older games, and this will be no different. Unfortunately that requires 3D, so yes, the tech here is a step back. But they've sold it from day 1 as a throwback to the golden years of iso-RPGs, so they were locked in. Perhaps they'll revisit the idea with the inevitable sequel(s).
  16. It actually opens up almost endless sequel titles: The Columns of Just Long Enough The Stanchion of Endless Occurrence The Beam of A Really Long Time...
  17. Better'n'uttin; Still trying to guess what el big updatio is though. Big newz or showing off lots of stuff I'yde guess, the vertikal slyce mayhaps. I'd guess a big ole vertikal finger... As in the number one musket-sportin', cypher-flauntin', ethereal incidentin' point & click iso-you-paid-for-it-already RPG in development, tell ya what!
  18. They bought us all the newest Transformers action figures. I believe they will post pictures of their oddly extravagant new office in an undisclosed location in non-extraditable Montenegro, and then announce that they have cancelled plans for the fulfillment site... Forever.
  19. I think the general opinion is... That about sums it up: No one knows. Obsidian needs to address it as it's becoming an issue.
  20. I always felt the whole keep stuff in NWN2 was meant to include much more, yet was part of the very obvious last-minute hacking of the game prior to release. For instance, the "Captain's Company" was never seen or heard from again even though such a big deal was made of it when it was formed. I hope PE can bring some of those ideas forward this time.
  21. So it's clear the fulfillment site isn't a priority for Obsidian, which I guess is OK, but $165+ pledgers are supposed to get a digital download copy of Wasteland 2 (thanks!). I realize it was pushed back, but has there been any news on how they're going to get the digital DL codes out?
  22. I could be wrong, but I don't think we'll be testing anything resembling a complete game. Based on what's been said about it, I would bet they'll be presenting little scenarios to test the mechanics and whatnot. Almost like different levels in the Aperture Laboratories of Portal, . So, I'm just not sure there'll really be a kinks-worked-out, "stable" build of something as opposed to anything else. If the test scenarios aren't stable, I don't know that we'll be playing them. And, any way of crashing the game (any evidence of instability) will be what they'll want us to find, methinks, amongst lesser glitches and discrepancies in the mechanics and systems. Ahh... I guess I'll be sitting it out then.
  23. First of all, I really enjoyed NWN2 and the expansions. The original game was a disaster upon release, but as long as you monitored message boards and forums, you could find ways to get 'round the game-breaking bugs. Fact: It was the first online version of Neverwinter in that regard, as it involved the whole community to play it successfully. LOL Anyway, Zehir was the weakest of the lot-- but I LOVED the music from it. In fact I've been trying to find a way to purchase the entire NWN2 music collection for quite some time, but I haven't been able to find it. I enjoyed creating my own party members, but the lack of personality/dialogue as a direct result really hurt the overall experience. I also wasn't a fan of the overland map, and I think the reason is that it was just too frustrating having to fight the same creatures over and over on the same battle map. I think if a few tweaks were made, it would have been much better.
  24. I won't be playing early beta, however when I start reading that folks are finding that it's stable, and that most of the kinks have been worked out toward the middle or end of the cycle, I'll jump in. But I have zero interest in playtesting or bugsquashing. I'll probably play the section where my unique item shows up though, just to make sure it's the ass kicker I envision it to be! I guess, whatever it is I plan on envision-ing when the time comes.
  25. Unless they were told not to say anything, or agreed to an NDA, I don't see anything wrong with sharing the info...
