  1. Closed for length.
  2. It had a mule, you see. And no loadings. And snazzy graphics. And it played itself. And it had a nonsensical name. And yeah.
  3. From the sound of it a gamepad is highly recommended. I don't get why PC gamers suddenly decided that controllers other than M&K are unworthy of their time. Alternate controllers used to be a staple of any PC gamer's setup and besides, gamepads are a user interface like any other. You don't refuse to use a steering wheel for your racing games on the principle of the thing, do you? Lots of games are designed to control better on a specific controller, and they're better for it.
  4. I would, except I don't have the config files readily available. Perhaps someone else here can help you out. Edit: Check file integrity through Steam. That helps, sometimes.
  5. Your PC's specs aren't brilliant, but the game should run. How much RAM do you have? Try settting all the game's configuration options to the minimum.
  6. It's not a point of being one person or several complaining. The point is that almost any game, regardless of the its quality and success, is going to have some hardcore fans defending it.
  7. If someone decided to make a sequel to Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, some dude would show up to complain that the sequel was Big Rigs in name only.
  8. They had to wait until I left for work to release the bloody demo. Now I'll have to wait some 12 hours until I get home, and then get the demo downloaded before I can play.
  9. While I can't say who it's being marketed to (other than Playboy readers, of course), I'd say the game was designed for people who want an RPG with a bit more in depth action combat system, and a plot that is a bit more fleshed out than your average ARPG story. It should be your typical Bioware/Obsidian RPG, as far as plot and quest structure are concerned, but with combat design in the vein of, say, Dark Alliance and similar melee combat games. Kind of like Jade Empire with co-op, but with combat that isn't embarrassing.
  10. Now, that's some marketing I can get behind of. Though I'd imagine Alvin is now asking questions of Square as to why an interview wasn't arranged with those ladies. He could have introduced himself as the Ass. Prod. A classy ice breaker.
  11. In this thread a person complains about the design choices in a game they won't buy and don't care about. Also he defines good game design as the design of games in the genre he enjoys. Everything else is bad design. Apparently.
  12. There are better graphics on the 360, that wasn't really my point.
  13. Excellent.
  14. Hooray for Tale!
  15. GTA IV and Red dead look really good. Also as far as maps go ... Sacred 2 says hi. Compared to the PC version, GTAIV looks horrible. Ditto for Risen. Red Dead Redemption doesn't have a PC version, so there isn't a point of comparison. Sacred 2 doesn't sport particularly demanding graphics.
  16. As far as I know there is no item enchanting in the game.
  17. I've just noticed you are seemingly male. I'm backing away, now. "the evil of mono gender" rofl
  18. Incidentally, I think the abundance of corridors in DS3 and in many current games is actually a problem with devs creating areas that the 360 and the PS3 can render without seriously scaling down the graphics. See for example GTAIV or Risen for examples of what happens when you take an open ended game and scale it back to perform acceptably on the consoles.
  19. While I don't know how the maps will change later on, it should be noted that are towns later on that serve as quest hubs. So, supposedly, things should get a bit more open as the game progresses. I'm guessing it will be something along the lines of branching corridors rather than wide open areas, though.
  20. so you want a female named Lucas? These are preset characters with names and background storys. This isn't Diablo or World of Warcraft. Get over it! Actually it's more or less the same as in Diablo. You can't play a female necromancer or a male assassin in Diablo 2, for example.
  21. That's still very much a corridor, Renevent.
