  1. Everyone knows Obsidian fanboys are superior to Bethesda fanboys. On topic: Bioshock is looking more and more impressive. It seems like the story will be truly original.
  2. At fifty bucks a piece?
  3. I think it's the simple mindlessness of the whole playing experience that sells the game. It's basic and easy to pick up while at first sight appearing to be deep and intelligent. The Da Vinci Code did much the same thing in book form.
  4. Diablo isn't only a bad RPG, it's also a bad action game. The only redeeming feature it has is that it requires almost no effort to play. Oh, and the FMVs haven't exactly gotten better with time.
  5. Catherine's late diplomacy song, from Civ IV's soundtrack.

  7. Umm..., isn't that the point I just made in the previous post? Or perhaps you are not replying to my post.
  8. Yes, but there's good twitch gameplay and bad twitch gameplay. Using your skill to kill your opponents as opposed to mashing the buttons as quickly as possible.
  9. It should be noted that a game can be an action RPG and have an intricate storyline, good character interaction, dialogue, and lots of customizability. That's what I think Obsidian is trying to do with PNJ. A dungeon crawl with an intricate storyline, good character interaction, good dialogue, and lots of customizability? Why not? Although I'm thinking of something like a mixture of Mark of Kri with Torment.

  11. Civ 4. Finally. I already feel my life being taken away from my control.
  12. there was a second one? There will be a sequel. Seems like a really bad idea. Charlotte Rampling is in it though.
  13. I Got Civ 4 yesterday, so technically I'm available for an online game. However, I'm still learning how to deal with the new/changed stuff in the game. This means I'm probably not a whole lot of fun to play with as I'm still not very good. However, if that's not a problem for you people, feel free to invite me.
  14. I take that offensively! Are you homophobic? :)"
  15. I have a tech demo for Summoner that uses that skit. It's hilarious. Here.
  16. Like Fear Factory?
  17. Pixies - Where Is My Mind
  18. It sounds like pure bliss!! (w00t)
  19. Try Ogre Battle on the SNES. MissionForce: Cyberstorm for the PC is awesome.
  20. And lets not forget Sawyer.
  21. Don't forget me. I may be a lurker, but I'm always around.
  22. Yes he did. You should watch Hearts of Darkness. The making of Apocalypse Now was sheer madness.
