  1. Don't judge Portman on the basis of her acting in Star Wars. Even Pacino and Streep wouldn't be able to make George Lucas romantic writing sound good. And let's not forget she was awesome in L
  2. The huge Katana makes the difference. :D
  3. Regardless of whether the game is a good RPG or not, I think that Diablo is also a bad hack and slash game. It seems tome that a good hack and slash game requires a player to have good manual dexterity. And Diablo doesn't do that at all. All you have to do is hit the right pixels with the mouse cursor.
  4. I concur. Yes, and a bad Vampirella film would be bad.

He is: Jack Bauer, codename Jackhammer. Belongs to super crime fighting team called CTU. Special Power: Pounds evil terrorists into submission. Weakness: Power only works once a year for 24 hours.
  6. Am I the only one that thinks the item design in Diablo was retarded? All they did was create two different groups of item attributes that could be assigned to each item. This allowed for easy random item creation (the goal of the system) but made every single item in the game feel generic. It's not revolutionary. It's boring. Furthermore, as far as I know, even in D2 you couldn't find a single item that had a specific attribute that you couldn't find anywhere else in the game. As such, to me, even D2's unique items were boring.
  7. Questions to people who've played the game: This game allows you to play different characters with different and even conflicting goals, right? Does this create interesting moral dilemmas for the player?
  8. I played it when it first came out. It felt like Ultima VIII with better graphics and interface.
  9. Nick Cave - Black Hair Last night my kisses were banked in black hair And in my bed, my lover, her hair was midnight black And all her mystery dwelled within her black hair And her black hair framed a happy heart-shaped face And heavy-hooded eyes inside her black hair Shined at me from the depths of her hair of deepest black While my fingers pushed into her straight black hair Pulling her black hair back from her happy heart-shaped face To kiss her milk-white throat, a dark curtain of black hair Smothered me, my lover with her beautiful black hair The smell of it is heavy. it is charged with life On my fingers the smell of her deep black hair Full of all my whispered words, her black hair And wet with tears and good-byes, her hair of deepest black All my tears cried against her milk-white throat Hidden behind the curtain of her beautiful black hair As deep as ink and black, black as the deepest sea The smell of her black hair upon my pillow Where her head and all it
  10. In the same way that Destiny's child's songs are masterpieces of popular music and The Da Vinci Code is a masterpiece of english literature? Blizzard's ability to make games that sell millions of units is to be admired though.
  11. Hooray for Deraldin!! "Fighting crime in a future time!"
  12. I really liked this show when I was a kid. Ms. Demeanor was my favourite character. I think I used to the love the show's tune but I can't remember what it was like. Thundercats was better, though.
  13. This means that Blizzard has the money to do any game it wishes and instead keeps on pandering to the masses with simple and superficial games.
  14. Everyone knows Obsidian fanboys are superior to Bethesda fanboys. On topic: Bioshock is looking more and more impressive. It seems like the story will be truly original.
  15. I think it's the simple mindlessness of the whole playing experience that sells the game. It's basic and easy to pick up while at first sight appearing to be deep and intelligent. The Da Vinci Code did much the same thing in book form.
  16. Diablo isn't only a bad RPG, it's also a bad action game. The only redeeming feature it has is that it requires almost no effort to play. Oh, and the FMVs haven't exactly gotten better with time.
  17. Catherine's late diplomacy song, from Civ IV's soundtrack.
