I always play spellcasters of some kind, I like to blow things up :D Though I have been tempted to try out a shifter (which would be a shapeshifting melee class)

All casters could. My Mage had a party of 4 at all times.

Yeah, familiars were ungodly in NWN1... my pixie fought and doubled as a thief.

Nope, Warlocks have no spells They do have a lot of innate spell like abilities though that they can use at will
