To be honest, I don't really remember. I got DK and DK2 back when I first got a computer (6... 7 years ago maybe?) and I've played a loooooooooot of games since then I can't even remember if I beat the games now, it's been so long.

I don't think the lack of main character communication will bother me, must be my console experience working to may advantage The silent protagonist is a given in those kinds of games.

There would be. Good can do good or neutral, thus allowing them to change to neutral. Neutral can do good, neutral or evil, thus allowing them to go either way. Evil can do neutral or evil, thus allowing them to change to neutral. It's pretty flexibile

I'd love for alignment to have a real in game effect, such as certain quest options changing based on your alignment. Do too much evil and you start getting more kill options, rather than capture/release. And different sidequests based on your alignment. For instance a "good" character gets neutral and good ones. Do too many neutral and you start to shift to neutral.... Then you have neutral characters who can get good, neutral and evil ones... which can make it shift one way or the other. This way a good character can't do evil quests to make them evil (which makes no sense since you're good) but can slowly slide to neutral (and thus giving them the option) And evil characters can't do good quests for instant redemption (but can work their way up) I hope that made sense

Oh, I was just teasing Hades (which never gets old ) I never had a problem with thrown weapons being a part of melee... I did think the "broader skill" needed a different name though since melee tends to evoke images of two people beating the crap out of each other with sticks though.. (note: memories of VB are cloudy... I don't remember if it had another name or not at this point)
