  1. that sucks, Tobiass. I'm on my second Xbox, as the first one's HDD died, taking my MORROWIND save-files with it (buh-bye countless hours of my life!). This Xbox hasn't had any issues with software yet, and now that I think about it, I suppose I got graphical glitches in KOTOR2 (like the odd transition with previous scene), but honestly thought nothing of it, since the game didn't lock-up or whatever.....I have yet to cross a game-breaker, or a black screen. I'll post if and when, though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After attempting to play Morrowind (gonna try and get back into it, it is a damn big game) and seeing the massive, drawn out quests and how truly open-ended it is I can only give my condolences at the anguish you must've felt.
  2. Yes, of course it is. I've encountered some slowdowns, but nothing just terrible (except once or twice and I don't know why). And the framerate issues are weird because I experienced bad slowdown fighting 5 or 6 people in a small area such as but get not a single bit of slowdown when fighting 10 or 11 people in a very large area in Telos, just strange. Also I've noticed some glitches when it comes to conversation as well. After a cutscene it would show a glimpse of the last scene in the cutscene right before you started that quest, it is very hard to explain and I'm not going to give an example because it would be a spoiler. Sometime the dialogue also loops with the same answers\questions as before whereas in the first game sometimes these disappeared. But some of you guys never experienced anything which is quite odd . But from what I've played it seems that maybe QA didn't play the game enough, or maybe some issues weren't addressed. Sometimes someone would tell me something or I'd say something and I'd have no idea where it would come from because no one said it before. I think the game could've used those extra two months and have gone through more bug\glitch testing. But LA rushed it to meet a Dec. release so I'm not really mad about that seeing as how KotOR 1 had been developed for about 2-3 years and it still had bugs. But maybe I've got a defective game or something.
  3. Who knows. After playing some of the game and seeing some dialogue mistakes, bad editing after cutscenes, and conversation errors it is becoming apparent that maybe the xbox version should've been released with the PC version. Damn you LA.
  4. Annakie did you have enough influence with each of the characters? I don't know, the character interactions seem good to me. And in the first game when characters did talk to each other it was brief. Overall I'm liking the game so far. I think one of the reasons you don't talk to the characters much is because of what Kreia is telling you, not to trust them or whatever. I don't know, I don't think the devs wanted you to care about the party members, hence Kreia's comments.
  5. after playing the game for awhile longer there are a variety of bugs ive encountered. but they don't detract from the story.
  6. I can give you a few off the top of my head, some of 'em i cant remember the name so I'll do my best: 1) Force Deflection (?): Deflects blasters with your hand, good for those without a lightsaber. 2) Force Body: Uses half of your VP and half of your FP for force attacks. 3) Mind Trick: Confuses enemies so you may get by them easier. 4) Force Scream: Pretty sure you've seen this one. 5) Force Chain: Any attacks casted on Kreia are applied to you and vice versa. Those are the only I can think of off the top of my head.
  7. It ain't half bad. :D Can't wait for it to come out. Star Wars fans must be getting blessed, we've received a lot of good games in the recent months\years.
  8. Seeing as how the time frame is so close to the Tales of the Jedi series (Jolee Bindo from the first game mentioned he fought in the war against Exar Kun) I'd have to side with it. It has sort of a feel with the movies, at least music wise it does.
  9. I'd also like to add my gratitude.
  10. Nothing really. The framerate is no worse than KotOR 1 in my opinion, although I did have one battle where the FPS dropped extremely low. But other than that it's smooth sailing. There are a few hiccups, 'bout the equivalent of walking through a cantina on Taris in the first game. But considering that the levels are bigger, and the framerate is actually better than the first, this is not really an issue to me, just hope it doesn't get worse. I aslo encounter that T3 bug but somehow I got around that.
  11. And as I've stated previously the enemies dont respawn as quick, or in great numbers as in other rpgs, so reaching level 99 will probably take close to 100+ hrs. If that guy on ign in the screenshot was level 24 seventeen hrs into the game, I'll bet by the end he'll be somewhere close to 35-45 by th end of the game if the experience is scaled up on more difficult enemies and there are as many as he encountered previously. At most I'll give a level of 50. But someone actually trying to level up high is the only way to find out.
  12. Yes it does have the demo in it. I wish it would've had the video for the EP III video game.
  13. Have you played the game yet? I am on Dantooine looking for Master Vrook and I still don't have my lightsaber. I have been in the game for 8 hours. If you found your lightsaber on Telos, tell me where you found it. Because quite frankly, I am getting tired of using swords. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've read in a couple of places that you get it after you complete Dantooine. Well, now I know which planet I'm going to first.
  14. agreed. but good info though
  15. i thought u find pieces of a lightsaber in diff areas. not just one whole lightsaber...
  16. dood you realize that most "popular" games when they are first released are usually sold out for a long time, where I live if a big game comes out you had better have it reserved, example would be with halo2 gamestop were only excepting ppl's reserves for it if they had reserved the game 6 monthes ahead of time, i was lucky! :D and all those ppl had their orders delayed happens alot! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i saw halo 2 everywhere. hell i saw it being sold behind the counter at a 7-11.
  17. check out gamespy vid no. 6, there's a part in there where the PC sticks in his lightsaber and melts the lock. pretty cool.
  18. despite our differences on the sig you can still give me the game :D
  19. i'll check that out. i just checked out the 3rd footage and there was some major lag in that vid. you might wanna look at it just to clarify.
  20. yea im watchin one of the vids right now, gameplay looks smooth to me, smoother than the 1st. and the music is damn good.
  21. i am going to go into a coma if i dont get this game soon...
  22. i guess the most similar option from the first game would be to follow a jedi sentinel\sith lord route, my char was set up like this str 14 dex 15 (+5 atr points into this) con 12 int 8 wis 14 cha 14 this setup was based on a few premises though...for one i didn't set the strength that high because you can get some awesome strength guantlets on korriban and from the assassin missions (i think). i also saved some cash and got an implant that gave +3 to dex i also picked up max flurry, max deuling, 1 lvl of toughness, and whatever else was left on blaster deflection. after the extra defense from deuling, jedi defense, and dex bonuses i was never hit. theoretically if there is no level cap you shouldn't have a problem with the attribute portion, if ur hardcare just keep going til u get everything you want. although i will say with this setup i was able to mow over anything and damn near all my force powers hit (except stun didn't work sometimes, dammit).
  23. Don't encourage the kid, lass. <_< No one should turn to X-box no matter what. Buy a PC, it's far superior and you can do more than just play games. ...or watch DVDs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i can do much more than play games and watch dvds on my xbox . no i don't have the game. im not going home 'til thursday (damn finals) so im going to have to wait. ive called some ebgames and gamestop in the arlington area and none of em have it right now anyways. i also went to the local walmart and they didn't have it either. which is ironic b\c i saw kotor 1 on the shelves before release date in a walmart .
  24. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hmmm thats interesting. in the first game all jedi classes gained a feat at level 3. what class r u? why did u black that info out? doesn't make any sense to since this is the spoiler forum. oh well, guess u gotta follow the rules.
