I thought KotOR 2 was much better than the first. It's obvious a lot of thought went into the game creation process. One of the aspects of the game I liked best was how you can do various things and get added bonuses to your stats. Such as how you can have a talk with Kreia and she gives you new insight on how the force works and you get extra stat points. It really makes the player feel that they are a Jedi instead of just opening new powers once you reach a certain level. And same goes for touching the . Another aspect I liked was the workbench. It was cool how you can tear down stuff to make items that you actually needed. I wish they would've left that as PC-controlled only because I could make anything I needed and the items gave you major buffs, add that in with the lvl 50 cap (which I wish they would've left at 20) and you have an overpowered character midway into the game. I thought the influence system was well thought out. Even at the sacrifice of some lightside points (which were insignificant) it made me really want to work to get to know my teammates. It would've been better if the NPC's dialogue choices were made to match their alignment, but maybe in the next installment. I wish they would've had more time to do something with the graphics since it really does hurt the game. But I still think this game was better than the first.

I'm going to have to say Exar. Dominated the galaxy and decimated everyone in his path. Palpatine comes in a VERY close second. How many Sith Lords can actually say they completely wiped out all the jedi ?

I think the Exile would wipe the floor with all of 'em. He's already beaten Nihilus, Sion, and Kreia. Remember, . Thus making him stronger than Revan, and also stronger than Malak who was known to be weaker than Revan. But I have a question about the Exile's powers. What was the significance of the Exile ? This didn't make sense to me since we learn that the exile lost his connection to the force .

Hades after having just beat the game 5 minutes ago I think it was better than the first one. Minus the occasional slowdown and confusing ending.

If you take advantage of the workbench (boy I sure did ) you can get some damn good stuff that will power you up. Right now I'm a level 27 consular\sith lord with ~350 hp and ~625 fp. I think they should've stuck to 20 too, but oh well. You still could've gotten a lot of stuff in 20 levels. Although your prestige class would suck.

1) Yea same here. I'm on Onderon and just got . I'm about 30 hours in so if this game is anything like the first I've got 5 more hours to go. I should be around level 28-30 by the time I'm done. I'm more than sure I skipped a fair share of quests. And I'm going to have to play through again because I want my teammates to be Jedi dammit :D. 2) Yes and no. I have a modded xbox so all I have to do is ftp my xbox to my pc and just transfer the saves over. There is an Action Replay you can buy though that allows you to use saves from the internet. I guess it works like a memory card, never used one. I've heard that in one of the tombs on Korriban, , there is a room in that area where you search a dead Jedi's body repeatedly and infinited Hssiss will spawn. Someone got 40 to respawn at one time or something like that and got ~16,000 exp in like 45 seconds. That's insane.

You know . I went and killed that droid in one of the pylon's and found a datapad on his chewed off arm and the quest completed. Did his own droid do it? Where were the frequencies coming from?

While your advice is accurate, the idea that we intentionally inserted a bug that would bite people playing off the hard drive isn't. Unfortunately, playing off the hard drive does change the timing of a number of events that fire during cutscenes which breaks some of the delicate timing for more involved cutscenes. So you'll get blackscreen problems like this by playing off the hard drive instead of the DVD. Which honestly wasn't done on purpose. If anything, I'd rather play off the hard drive to cut down on load times myself, but it probably isn't going to work too well for this game. -Akari <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm, that would explain some of the out of order quests, and some of the cutscene glitches I'm having, never experienced anything like this with the first game. I used a legit CD also stated that I took the game back where I got it now I tried another CD which at the same saved game on my xbox was still glitched so I have wiped the saved games off my xbox and started over which really sucks but I am hoping it won't have same glitch again. I baught my Xbox new at EBgames in Palm Springs its a 1.6v Xbox by looking on the internet. Nothing is mutual, this whole project was governed by LA. That means if you didn't like the story that Obsidian made and you blame it on them, it's partly LA's fault too because Obsidian has to get the green light from them. LA gave them a set release date when the game was due and they had to be done by then. "It really seems that what the devs said about features and fixes has mostly evaporated too." Probably because they weren't given enough time " . I'm diggin' the influence sysem so far. It is kinda a pain to wait for something major to happen to get to talk to someone but that's how it was in the first game. I think the system was supposed to work this way, but it is disappointing to have atton halfway down the dark spectrum (his face is starting to look like mine) and still talk about how Kreia is turning me to the darkside. But hey, we can't have everything.

It has been stated in these forums that this bug happens to user's who are using a 'special' or modded xbox. If you play the game from the disc, this particular bug does not occur. From what I've read, Obsidian did this on purpose. If you are using a legal xbox, good for you, and try loading up three different games before TSL to clear the cache. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You sure about that? Oh well, I've got the disc anyway .

I don't think the devs have to do anything if they don't want to. One of 'em probably will speak on some the bugs sometime soon. Or hey, maybe they're working on some sort of fix right now.

Yes, the 'Rapid Transit System' is sorely missed...

Mines occur in the weirdest places. I'll be fighting 10 or 11 people in a very large, wide open area on Telos where you'd expect plenty of slowdown and it runs smooth. Then I get into a cramped corridor fighting 4 or 5 enemies and the game slows down. I just don't know...

I hope not, thats a stupid idea, the biggest problem being how almost every second after ROTJ is covered by some lame author. Worse the New Order books have to be the least liked turds ever laided by LucasArts, that or the New Anakin ending in ROTJ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ROFL

No need to be so angry . Although this game could've used some more development time it is still a good game. Looks like that 'restructuring' that LA had didn't do any good.

What I was saying was essentially the game itself (story, combat, etc...) was probably finished. The issues that you mentioned are things that probably could've been fixed by more QA time. I believe that is the case also, they just wanted to cash in. But it also works against them because they released KotOR II right near Halo 2 and GTA: SA's release dates which are most likely going to dominate sales as far as X-mas goes and are going to overshadow KotOR II. And also as a result we can kiss any GOTY awards goodbye. Probably not. That would mean that LA or Obsidian would have to admit that they released a defective game, and I doubt that is going to happen. Btw does anyone know the development time of both KotOR and KotOR II? I think TSL was around one year considering they started right after the first was released.

The game is ready. There's a great story (although I heard the ending was unsatisfying) expanded on the combat, some new graphical effects, expanded on items and character interaction as well. It may not seem like this because there are bugs\glitches that keep these things from working. I think the game should've spent more time in QA. But with a small crew and limited time wasn't much obsidian could do, just hope for some better things in the PC release.
