  1. Good game so far. The Oranje have been dominating the ball, but are being stymied by Costa Rica's fantastic defense and Mr. Keylor Navas. Scoreless at the half.
  2. Goalkeeping coming up big in the 20th minute. NED threatening big with a couple quality looks in the box only to be stopped by the indomitable Navas.
  3. GAME ON! Really looking dorward to this Costa Rica - Netherlands match. Can Navas and Costa Rica's offsides trap confound Robben, Van Persie and Sneijder?
  4. I suppose it's still better than "GOBBLE GOBBLE!" Ben Franklin wanted the National Bird to be the turkey after all.
  5. Sorry fellas. No Low Countries Semi-Final for you.
  6. Argentina advances! Beats the Belgians 1-0.
  7. "Weird-Assed" "Crap" They use that type of language in Thedas now? Who writes this stuff?? Didn't realize they have modern plumbing systems as popularized by Thomas Crapper.
  8. GOOOOAAAAALLLL!!!! Higuain!
  9. http://blog.sfgate.com/athletics/2014/07/04/as-send-3-top-prospects-to-cubs-for-samardzija-hammel/ A's picked up Shark and Hammel from the Cubs. They are is going for it, though Beane may be giving up too much by including Addison Russell. I suppose you can justify it in that prospects are overvalued right now... Lets Go Oakland!!
  10. Crap. Neymar has a broken vertebrae.
  11. That was classy of David Luiz giving that pep talk to James Rodriguez. Man of the Tournament.
  12. I like motion pictures myself.
  13. Yeah. Pretty lackluster game, despite being a Quarterfinal. More so than any Argentina match.
  14. Germans strike first on a set piece.
  15. Certainly went more in-depth than the other e3 write ups.
  16. Hey man. We're Americans. What do we care about other countries? USA! USA! USA!
  17. Obsidian voluntarily chose not to do a romance because they feel if they did attempt a romance, they wouldn't do it justice - due to the enormous effort and cost it would take to develop it, at the expense of exploring these other "mature" themes that don't necessarily deal with romance. In lieu of a romance Chris Avellone actually would prefer to write a hatemance, and he made a short go at it on Alpha Protocol. Really though, I think the best "romances" were in Alpha Protocol as essentially, except for one case, they were dealt with in a mature and theme appropriate manner with very little emo-teeny bile-inducing dialogue. ...o noes, I'm discussing romance again. ICK.
  18. You just summed up all that is right about The United States of America.
  19. I actually do. Joe was my least favourite of the gaming critics when he started on TGWTG (seriously, his first video, iirc, was "Why LOTR: Conquest is gonna be the best game evar!"), but quickly climbed to the top. Yes, I skip the cringeworthy costume bits, but he's usually fair and the right amount of objective. Off topic, but congrats on your work on King of Dragon Pass.
  20. That doesn't necessarily contradict what I stated.
  21. Restrict romances in Eternity at a brothel. And by romances, I mean quid pro quo. As in prostitution. Exchange of legal tender for nookie.
  22. Indeed. Occasionally I pull in to the lot where Tower Records used to be. It's still gone. Nah. The Tower Records became a Rasputin Records. Only now it's a Guitar Center as Rasputin moved back to their old location, which is still under renovation. In the meantime, I pulled in to the lot where Barnes and Noble used to be. Now, POOF it's gone...
