what's a GROL? given that i don't have a clue, the safe bet is no. oh wait, wiki is my friend. no, i don't have that license. i would assume half my office does, however, since that's what we do. in fact, if you lived in colorado i'd have you interview for a job we need to fill now that i know this... that is a rather insulting looking squirrel, IMO. taks

he might, too, but warner leads the league in this regard. i'm not sure what the actual stat is but they were talking about it during the game saturday. he's always had weak offensive lines and he's not as mobile as he could be... i guess that comes from being in the indoor league in which you get the ball and throw it... no QB movement required. taks

most mobos have specific beep codes to acknowledge certain errors during boot. that might help with a diagnosis before you pay to do it. taks

there's an oddity with winders XP that refuses to recognize all 4 GB, but i believe this does not exist with vista. perhaps this user had XP? taks

ghost image it was on TMC or showtime last night, er, this morning. interesting flick though a bit flawed. elizabeth rohm (law and order blonde) played the main character and she did a fairly good job overall, but a few scenes seemed over done. a common problem with this film, as other films, are the glaring plot devices/holes that drive me nuts. she gets attacked while her camera is on, and they make a point of showing the attack on the video screen, but when questioned by the police chick nobody bothers to check the obvious camera sitting on the table and they act as if she's lying. later on, at the end of the movie, they do use the same camera to bust the evil bad person. um... there are some other silly law issues that bugged me of a similar nature, too. the "twist" that ends the movie is a bit retarded as well, and one of the major plot lines through the whole movie (the one that sets her mental state) is left unresolved. anywho... the real reason i mention this so-so flick is that it was filmed entirely in st. louis, directed by a native of st. louis (jack snyder). they really put the city in a good light showing a lot of beautiful downtown areas. the bars they used in the movie are real locations, too, one of which burned down this year (apparently being remodeled). it was sort of cool seeing my hometown on the tube since movies are rarely set there (white palace with susan sarandon and david spader was another). taks

terrible. they'll tear your attic apart. we had one die in our wall when i lived near the beach in florida (1998). it smelled something awful for a while before fully rotting away. ugh. either way, it was a nightmare trying to sleep at night with the two of them making all that racket, at least till the one offed itself anyway. taks

ah, i see... so you give them a last meal before the bullet in the brain? taks

Word wants you to use the phrase "cut, and then paste" to be precise, which makes sense since "cut and paste" is really a shorthand (though not very) phrase. taks

that last one does not surprise me though i had never given it any thought. i just know, now that i'm thinking about it, that i don't have to cut my toenails nearly as often as my fingernails. i wear an 11 men's shoe, btw. taks

me too, and yes, i agree about the joker. he was, oddly enough, the most believable character in the movie. taks

sounds familiar. that's what i was doing when i had my first real anxiety attack, at least, the one that put me in the horsepital. boredom is more stressful than stress, i think. knob creek may help a bit. i mean, what are they going to do if they catch you, right? taks

apparently the average person does not live in CO nor have my genetic makeup. per hour, perhaps... taks

apparently you didn't catch any rams or lions games this year. ARI's defense was definitely better this game than most. as i've said, it's like watching mizzou play, OL and D are both swiss cheese. warner gets the beat-down more than any other NFL QB. granted, some of it is his own fault since he always hopes to find someone open and refuses to move fast enough, but that's not uncommon with great passers (particularly those that are older) and he's definitely one of the best as well as one of the oldest still playing. i've watched a few ARI games this year. i'm still torn on whether or not i want them to go far. i hate bidwell. i watched my dad scream at the tv for years cursing (well, not exactly) bidwell. i was soooo glad when he left town for the sun state. i wonder what my dad would have thought of the game saturday? taks

i was split 50-50 on the ending... on one hand it left the movie sort of hanging, on the other i could see a cool sequel that started with the ending of the first (like a 10-minute deal) followed by a new story that could be pretty gripping if done right. unfortunately, chricton wrote the original book... jessica has the best ass in the business. mmmm... taks

you're right, his voice was waaaay over-acted. drove me nuts. did they really kill that guy, or is there an expectation for that character to appear in the future? i'm not up on current comic trivia so i don't know how it all plays out. personally, i hated the way they ended it, at least, the "twist" that could have easily been explained in a thousand other, much more obvious, ways than it was. of course, comics are about on the same level as soap operas in terms of the intelligence that goes into their stories (you really have to try hard to suspend your disbelief) so i can't complain. i enjoyed the movie, however. we rented it last night, btw. i won't be getting it on blu-ray. saving to get the matrix trilogy, hehe (well, it's only $64 through amazon). taks

i've been playing the BGT mod all day... that's the mod that allows you to play the whole BG series using the BGII engine. seems pretty cool so far. apparently there's some transition mechanism in place between 1 and 2. other than that, today is lazy day for me as well. taks

oh, and while you're at it, look up the phrase "red herring" since that's pretty much what your question regarding the source of the rockets amounts to. no surprise. i've never met an ideologue that can't argue with out that particular fish or some straw in his teeth. taks
-
he did answer your question you just chose not to accept nor understand it. the west bank is under control of the PA, which is currently friendly (reasonably) to israel and hence, not launching rockets in their direction. besides, it's pretty easy to determine where a rocket came from using basic math that has been around for centuries. taks

don't think that this absolves you of your nerdity. no, it only reinforces it. i got my nephew FO3 for the xbox and i'm anxiously awaiting my brother's report on the game. might try it out on the PS3 myself. of course, that means my son will start playing it and immediately outclass me which will piss me off and result in some kind of competition between us... he's 5. guess that makes me a nerd, too. taks

i'm not sold on ARI's defense, either, and middle of the pack, IMO, is an overstatement. well, maybe if constrained to the run only. every time i watched ARI play (primarily to see how warner did with his receiver corps), i kept thinking "kinda like watching mizzou." i want warner to win, not ARI, btw, just as a f*** *** to the rams, which i have the utmost of contempt for right now ("how to destroy a team in 2 years and make it last for a decade" sounds like the name of a book). taks PS: ^volourn: i'm surprised brees didn't get anything. maybe because they sucked as a team?

btw, ebgames says dragon age ships on march 23. if they are to be believed... taks

that's a highly optimistic statement, morgoth... not the "mediocre shooter nobody cares about anymore" part, but the "when DNF comes out" part. yeah, right. how long has it been #1 on wired's vaporware list? taks

well, given that the links in question are hyperlinks, it might make sense that a portion of iexplore.exe (er, the all caps version) is what is actually being used to execute the link-follow command. it might not be the whole function, perhaps just a subset. in linux it would be a call something like "iexplore --follow-links" (just as a hypothetical) which would execute some subroutine that IE uses to follow hyperlinks. just a guess. taks
