I think one of my problems was I read the comics, and the first half of season 2 was adapted from one issue of the comic, and Shane was dead before they even got to the farm in the book. Plus they completely changed character personalities so the show just gave me a bad taste.

Jericho was probably my favorite post apocalypse show. Loved the world building

I think that's the first time I've heard anyone praise season 2 of the walking dead. Season 2 made me give up on the show. Doomsday was ridiculous fun. I tend to like the more optimistic PA stuff, where **** happened, but things are getting better. Was one of the reasons I didn't like F3 as much as the rest. Its 400 years after the bombs and people are still largely making shacks out of sheet metal and no one has figured out how to make/wash clothes.

I know they had to kill her to put Laurel on the path to becoming Black Canary, but Sara was so much better than Laurel.

IX was them trying to reproduce the magic of the SNES games. They didn't fully succeed, and the ending was kind of WTF, but the result was something pretty special. X was where they first removed the world map, which resulted in a smaller feeling game. Plus the voice acting was awful. I've never played any of them for PC, I think you can get all of them digitally on the PSN for 10 bucks or less.

Kotaku, at least lately, is a weird mash of odd gaming-related stuff, like guys killing everyone in Fallout 3, or a guy in Shadoes of Mordor replacig a warchief's entire retinue with his slaves, japanese culture stuff, vaguely gaming related crossposts from around Gawker media, and ad articles for services. With the occasional gaming news post. It used to be much more gaming centric.

XII was ok, so was X, but IX was the last really good one. As for a 60 gig install, that's what happens when you have 20 hours of HD video files.

It's on again tonight, after the premiere of Arrow. I watched it and found it fairly entertaining. Couple of things:

As said before after season 5 (when the creator left) it takes a dive but it figures itself out again about season 8 and has been pretty good the last 2 seasons.

Holy effing shee at the end of the Arrow premiere. What a way to completely turn a ho-hum episode on its head.

FfXIII was so disappointing. More of a sidescroller than an RPG.

I'm really glad Total Biscuit came out publicly for GamerGate, he's got a lot more reach than most GamerGaters, is extremely reasonable in his views, and is tied to the community, so it gives the GamerGate moderates a bigger voice in all this. Someone for the media to focus on that isn't the arseholes spewing bile.

Loved the first 3, so unless impressions are really bad I'm 95% likely to get ME4, unless its PS4/Xbone exclusive.

in comics the hero is only as good as his villains, Comic book tv seems the same, because having Hydra has made Agents of SHIELD so much better.

To clarify, the malls don't explicitly state chinese only, they are just designed specifically to exclude non-chinese. There is only chinese signage, they use only chinese text, no universal picture signage like mens/womens bathroom signs or anything, prices aren't marked with numbers, and the staff at all stores will only speak chinese even though most of them can speak english. A chinese friend admitted they are designed this way to discourage non-chinese from going because its illegal to outright say "chinese only"

I'm not a very social person, so I tend to socialize more online than anywhere else. This is my main hangout and though I don't post really frequently, I'm probably browsing the forums a couple hours a day. My other main hangouts are Kotaku and io9, and white males are the #1 discriminated group there, and the sick thing is its mostly white males that throw around the vitriol. I live in a city that has seen whites become a smaller and smaller portion of the population, with a larger and larger chinese population, and chinese are some of the most racist people in the world, especially against whites. They have chinese only malls, and its not considered racist, its considered "accommodating". The attitude towards racism against whites seems to be acceptance. And I don't know if its white guilt or whatever, but it seems like the ones who have the attitude that its somehow deserved due to top dog position of whites in history is ****ing white people. More and more we're being subtly told that we deserve to be treated like crap because our ancestors did it to others, and more and more white people are getting on board. I see more and more similarities to the Anders and Haken in The Soul of the Fire all the time. White people are more and more feeling bad about being white, and its sick.

I wish you could combine vouchers and credit, because I have almost $10 in credit from Playfire and no money on my credit cards or bank accounts.

In regards to harassment within GamerGate, there are essentially two options, harrass the harrassers, which is hypocrical, or attempt to censor them, ehich is against one of the fundamental issues of GamerGate.

slowly chipping away at season 6 of clone wars. Did they seriously devote 3 episides to corruptiin in the banking clan at the expense of not having any episodes with Ahsoka or Darth Maul? like 8 episodes in and I question why they even bothered.

He's still on board the first season, and losing a guy like Weisman before season 2 means either he had a better offer, or they wanted him on something else. So either he's doing something he wants to do more, or he's running another show rather than playing second fiddle to Filoni. Either way good news.

Star Wars: Rebels was renewed for a 2nd season before the first episode aired. But without Greg Weisman. From his tweets its sounding to me like they either gave him a spinoff series, or something else star wars. His response to "We'll miss you" tweets is " Or not, wait and see" and to "come back!" Tweets is "I haven't gone far" everything else is #Nospoilers

KotOR 2?

Not surprising and not disappointing. I have a giant backlog to play through anyway, so I won't lack stuff to play. The first build of the beta was atrocious, didn't expect it to get out this year.
