  1. No. Oooh, the number of people who liked the RT in FOT is up to 2. Crazy.
  2. It doesn't actually cut anything out of the picture for widescreen. http://www.widescreen.org/examples/lord_ri...otk/index.shtml theres an example of fullscreen vs widescreen. You can see that in fact you lose almost half the picture in the fullscreen version. Edit: just noticed you said VHS kicks ass... sarcasm noted. And Johnny Mnemonic was cool. Especially Dolph Lundgren "HALT SINNERS!"
  3. So I've been looking for a widescreen version of Johnny Mnemonic for a while now. Yes I know most people think its bad, but anyway all I can find is fullscreen. Who in their right mind only makes a fullscreen version of a DVD? Who in their right mind BUYS fullscreen DVDs? Would you buy half a poster? A CD of only clips of songs? The other day I rented a movie that was labelled widescreen, only to find a fullscreen disc when I got home. Now this could have been avoided if fullscreen DVDs just no longer existed. Now some people say "well my TV is too small to see widescreen" Well then don't bother with DVDs then, because the sound and picture quality improvements on DVD aren't noticable on a tv that small. Some people say "Well I don't like the black bars" Stop watching movies. Seriously. Stop. If you can't appreciate seeing the whole movie without bitching about the area around the movie, just stop watching, you don't deserve to watch. Anyway, enough of my elitist rant. Go on with your lives.
  4. You do know that widescreen doesn't mean they cut off the top, it means they add to the sides right?
  5. You need to tell me who's holding the gun to your head, forcing you to play the game, because I need to report this horrible crime to the police. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't tell you. He'll shoot me if I do.
  6. http://www.cbc.ca/clips/mondayreport/piracy.rm Sorry its realplayer. Its the only format it was available in.
  7. That depends. If its as bad as Morrowind, I'd prefer it never had been made.
  8. LOL...so true. Or maybe it was that Canadian head-bopping impersonation. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The donkey thing... its so true. Head boppy thing, exaggerated a LOT, but also true.
  9. Well, Real-Time in FOT was garbage, RT in Lionheart was garbage, and I don't even think FOBOS was even an adaption of SPECIAL, so until theres a decent adaption of SPECIAL into real-time, I'll stick with my FO=TB opinion. I just personally think that systems designed for turn based, are much better in turn based. Much like ToEE's combat was vastly superior to NWN.
  10. Oh , I also didn't know Darque was a guy, but oh well <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bad wording, my bad. It gets confusing with the various names and avatars.
  11. Ahh comedy network. Canada's bastard child of Comedy Central.
  12. No. The TB concept is fundamentally outdated. No matter how much garbage you add to it, it's still obsolete, when compared to the possibilities of a RT system. It's not the accessories or the interfaces that are outdated, it's the concept itself. Just because real time is faster, doesn't mean TB is obsolete. And thats the ONLY advantage real-time has over turn based. Thats like saying a volvo is obsolete because a ferarri goes faster.
  13. I'm just looking at that review and its like 30% Summary, 60% bitching, and 10% praise, yet they give it a 4/5.
  14. I didn't think Magnolia was too bad, I'll always imagine that Tom Cruise is really like that at home. I forget the actor's name who played the cop, but he was priceless <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he's talking about Paul WS Anderson. The guy who inflicted AVP on us.
  15. If it comes out and is an over the shoulder or 1st peson game with real time combat.... heres hoping theres a really good mod community.
  16. Go Puuk. It would be cool if Obsidian could get all successful and get back all the old BIS guys, but I'm glad he's happy where he is. Doesn't sound like he'd want to move back to Caleefornia if he was given the opportunity.
  17. Arnold said she'd be back. Too bad its in a ****ty movie.
  18. If you want to enjoy Final Fantasy 8, rent Legend of Dragoon. FF8 is terrible, but it at least has good dialogue. Legend of Dragoon is terrible, AND has bad dialogue. By the 10th hour you'll beg for FF8. Thats the only way I was able to finish it. Thoug to be honest, FF8 was ok until the end of the 2nd disc.
  19. www.phong.com used to be really good. But now the site is really badly designed. At least its better than the last incarnation where you had to solve a puzzle before you could get into the site. It has some pretty good photoshop tutorials.
  20. The worst thing about him is that he doesn't take responsibility for his movies being bad. For house of the dead he was like "Well the writers didn't do a very good job, the game wasn't very good, and the actors sucked." Then he blames the internet for no one going to see the movies.
  21. Look, if we're going to head down this road (and stick to our DC comic theme), than I think it should be made clear that Batman is by far greater than Superman. He does all these heroic things without powers. It's all about the self sacrifice here. He faces his own mortality daily too help others. You can't beat that. Especially not with an invincible small town hick that gets his jollies wearing underwear around and wearing glasses as his big disguise. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but Batman doesn't fight superpowered enemies. Just criminals with a gimmick.
  22. Usually I score around 142-145 This one I got a 102. Mostly because I skipped the last ones because I couldn't make any sense of them. It just seemed like a bunch of random squggly lines then asked you which squiggly line came next. I was like "I have no idea!"
  23. Does it piss anyone else off when a corporation buys a well known building and changes the name of the building to the name of the company? For example Rogers Communications bought the Skydome in Toronto recently and renamed it the Rogers Center, and in Vancouver, Telus Communications bought the naming rights to Science World, the spherical Vancouver landmark, and re-named it the TELUSphere. I know it makes business sense, to attach your name to a major landmark, but does it piss anyone else off?
  24. I was kinda hoping that was areal company those stories were coming from
