  1. Its the Matrix! How could you not recognize it!?
  2. Ahem...cyberpunk to be pedantic. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Subgenre of Sci Fi
  3. KotOR 2 is also a great game. And just because you had problems with their first game doesn't mean you will with their 2nd. They've learned from Lucasarts mistakes and have their own internal QA department now.
  4. Just because people liked KotOR2 better than 1, doesn't mean they didn't like 1. I'd say probably 90% of the people who bought KotOR2 bought it because they liked the first one. And probably about 80-90% of those people liked it. The problem with the game is that its not finished. Which had nothing to do with them wanting to do something new with Star Wars, as the story and such is all figured out during pre-production.
  5. Hey Visc, it was a sci fi script wasn't it? You'd probably have a better chance selling it as a miniseries to the Sci Fi network, that way you could have the whole story told instead of risking it as a feature that might never be continued.
  6. Beast Machines was well written, but other than the maximal models, the visuals were kinda boring. Every environment was just purple boxes pretty much, and the hordes of enemies were all exactly the same.
  7. Beast Wars was made by Mainframe in Vancouver. Same guys who did ReBoot. The models and animation weren't top notch, but the animation was FAR better than Energon, and by being completely CG, it didn't look out of place next to nice fluid classical animation. Beast Wars and Beast Machines were the best written transformers series yet.
  8. I come here mostly due to nostalgia. The old BIS boards were the first board I posted on regularly, then I moved over to the interplay boards, and then over here. It was odd that I never really got into Mistress' Lair, since thats where all the community members went after interplay shut down the community boards and thats where I spent most of my time. Theres just a lot of regulars that I'd miss if I left these boards, even though I don't often interract with them specifically.
  9. I tend to go through phases on what classes and such I play, at first I made nothing but half-elf thieves, etc. Now I pretty much play nothing but human speed-based characters. High dex finesse characters who get many low damage attacks instead of few high damage ones. They also tend to be intelligent, and their personalities change slightly based on events in game. Like one thief I played was a sarcastic happy-go-lucky thief for hire. Then he got dragged to war and died, and was raised. After dying and returning he became a lot more dark and serious, and blamed the person who dragged him to war for his death, and plotted their elaborate downfall. That thief was my favorite character. His defining moment was robbing a 15th level wizard's tower, with a broken leg, at 8th level. It was really funny watching my DM roll my move silently and hide in shadows checks. He gave me like a 30% penalty to my move silently because I had to hop around on one foot. Passed every time, and his swearing was hilarious. Unfortunately my girlfriend cheated on me with that DM, so I kinda broke off contact and haven't finished the campaign.
  10. Strength: 9 - I think I'm about average, if a little less. Dex: 11 - I may not be quick, but I have excellent balance, and pretty good aim. Con: 11 - Except for a cold, I haven't been sick in 7 years. But I'm not really fit. Int: 16 - Last IQ test put me at 148, which I believe is gifted. Wis: 8 - No willpower, but pretty good commen sense. Charisma: 11 - Not much of a leader, but everyone seems to like me. EDIT: Oh, and I'm going by 2nd edition stats here. I don't know how 3rd edition stats go in the real world.
  11. I like that a mechanic/oil rig worker knows how to separate mind and body, yet doctors don't. Anyway, I just finished watching all of Beast Machines. Its a lot like Kotor2. Everything is excellent, a few graphical problems, and the ending sucks.
  12. Runaway army AI's built on incomplete data mapped from the deteriorated brains of long dead presidents, artists, and assorted nouveu rich who had enough money to deep freeze their brains, but not enough brains to realize it was pointless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Poop
  13. As is my Dad, and my Grandmother. This is why I always pipe in when people say Harry Potter is overrated. When a children's series can attract millions of fans of every age, its not overrated.
  14. I love the HP books. I can't put them down. And the movies are excellent. You won't see me showing up to the premiere in robes carrying a broom, but I'd still call myself a fan.
  15. Look at our appendix. It serves no purpose, but evidence suggests that thousands of years ago, it did. It makes sense that if our bodies will slowly phase out obsolete organs, why wouldn't they grow new useful ones? And one common misconception that creationists often make is that evolution suggests that one species gives birth to another, which doesn't happen. What happens is the living animals adapt to their environment and pass those adaptions on to the next generation over thousands of years.
  16. Wow, most girls I know who can draw well all tend towards the japanese manga style. Its nice to see someone who actually has their own style.
  17. http://republic-news.org/archive/111-repub/111_wilkinson.htm The gist of the article is: They've pretty much proven evolution as much as it can be proven, and in fact the theory of evolution is backed up by more evidence than the theory of gravity. The difference is that evolution goes against religion, while gravity doesn't.
  18. I don't even use a firewall. I have my anti-virus, my anti-spyware, and Firefox, and haven't had any problems.
  19. If they hadn't created a new personality, he would have just died. I'd be grateful.
  20. Is there an open source IM program? I used to use ICQ until AOL bought it and turned it into a bloated unusable piece of garbage, AIM is crap, Yahoo and MSN aren't bad, but nowhere near as good as old school ICQ. I figure since it seems like theres an open source alternative to pretty much everything else Microsoft dominates, why not IM?
  21. They need to rename it the Quintesson Player, and package it with 5 different skins.
