Sitll wondering what purpose the Watchdogs will serve. One episode spent on introducing a vigilante group led by Blake and some personal issues for MAck and since then, well, nothing. I'm guessing we'll be getting a Blake heel-face turn during the finale so he can die while killing Hive. Oh, and yeah, the Shield member who will die as per Skye's vision. I hope they pick one of her team. Or maybe all of them. Cross floating indicates Yoyo or Mack IMO Also, is it just me or is the symbol on that orb the same as the one on the Sanctum Sanctorum window in Dr Strange? Edit: google image search says its just me.

Correct, now we have to wait for a year Zora seems to think they are in another time loop or will need one ? But nothing that happened to the team of magicians that rest wont fix and magic can heal the traveler hands ? Googled the books. While the series made some major changes from the books, Penny losing his hands and Alice dying do happen when they confront the beast, but in the book Alice succeeds in killing him. She turns into one of those magic ghost things and Quentin is able to reconstitute her in the 3rd book. Showrunner said this obviously diverges from the books as Alice survives, but they are trying to work her death in somewhere else. The entire story with Julia is in the 2nd book, and ties into the reawakening of the gods. I think I want to read the books now. They sound really good. Thats interesting, geez I also want to read the books ..how does Alice kill him? And how does Penny gets his hands fixed and Eliot and Margo what happens to them in the books The summary just says she sacrifices herself to defeat him. Elliot and Margo pull a Narnia and become two of the kings and queens of Fillory along with Julia and Quentin. Margo is named Janet in the books. Summary also doesn't explain how Penny gets his hands back, but they are described as translucent gold, so some sort of magical construct. He ends up with followers who mimic them.

Seems like South Africa's age of consent laws are kind of wacky. Over 16 can consent to sex, but under 18 is considered a child by law. Apparently leads to some pretty odd court battles if the parent's don't accept their child's decision.

Wasn't paying attention to the number of episodes and assumed the finale of Magicians was this week. Turned out it was last week. **** cliffhangers that don't resolve anything.

Batman and Robin is my so bad its good movie. They play hockey with a giant diamond while robin busts through a wall on a motorcycle leaving a robin symbol shaped hole in the wall, all while Ahnold makes ice related puns and Bane walks around disguised with a trenchcoat and fedora. SCREW THE HATERS.

I think the only gun control that might make a difference at this point is biometric locks. So the gun can't fire unless its in the hands of the legal purchaser.

It bugs me that they are doing a cinematic universe that has GI Joe and M.A.S.K., but are leaving Transformers out. Since those 3 properties are connected. Matt Trakker has a Gi Joe figure, Flint and Lady Jay's kid was a pilot in season 3 of Transformers, and Cobra Commander showed up in season 3 of Transformers as well. I realize they want to keep the garbage Michael Bay movies going forward, but rebooting TF into something more resembling Transformers would be awesome.

I'll have to install it. I enjoyed the first one. Backed at the $50 dollar level so I could get the sequels free. Didn't even realize they were working on it until I got the closed beta update a few weeks back.

Putins a good president hey Zora? He is going to restore the glory of the Russian Bear I was a fan of him telling Erdogan he was going to restore Constantinople to Christendom if he didn't stop supporting terrorists

Getting caught up on the 100. Damn, I saw Lincoln's death coming as he had been cast as the lead on American Gods, but that was brutal.

Blame Social Justice Warriors for Donald Trump

What an insufferable a-hole. It's basically him saying "I don't like what these people are doing, so let me sink down to their level and wallow around." I'm 100% positive that is a ridiculously dumb tactic and will only make things worse. Take the fricken' high road. You obviously didn't watch the video to completion, or what Whittle ultimately said is very lost on you. I watched to the end and it just gets more difficult to watch ...for example what difference does it make if someone doesn't know who invented the jet engine?I didn't know that and so what,...does this make Bill Whittle clever than me and somehow a better person ? Why ..because I dont know some historical fact like that? *sigh* The point is that he uses the very same logic these bozos are using against them and thus showing how crypto-racists the SJWs really are with their compartmentalization of culture and race. So what is the example that SJW are using that is the equivalent to " who created the jet engine" ? His point is that specific races don't have exclusive use of something just because someone of that race came up with it. Humanity would go nowhere otherwise. -

We were discussing this at work. I was talking about how I agree with socialized healthcare, most aspects of the welfare state, crown corporations, etc, but I'm also a nationalist, but all the political parties that support the socialist aspects I agree with are all hardcore multiculturalist cultural relatavists etc. And what we need is some sort of nationalist socialist party. When that sunk in we had a laugh at how bad the world has become that nazis are starting to be appealing. -
Seeing as the real world inspiration for Brunhilde was a Spanish Visigoth, I don't really see the problem - she's clearly already changed colour before. Spider-Man himself and his support characters are also pretty racial neutral. The characters could work in basically any racial setting. Casting Thor as black however would be a bit weird - as they did with Heimdal. But the Marvel universe is pretty diverse as it is and since the Norse gods are a race of aliens, I guess skin color is the lesser detour Visigoths were Germanic. So its not like there was much of a colour change.

Games you want that'll likely never exist
Oerwinde replied to Barothmuk's topic in Computer and Console
A Birthright game thats part Crusader Kings 2, and part political RPG. The main part of the game would be a like a sandbox strategy nation sim in the birthright setting, but there would be a campaign that puts you in control of a particular nation and has heavy roleplaying options, maybe even questing. DLC would be additional campaigns. -
So Marvel seems to have cast black girls as Brunhilde/Valkyrie and Mary Jane Watson. Just rumors so far, as the roles haven't been announced, but those are the best guesses based on role descriptions. Being celebrated by peoole who rage against cultural appropriation.

I've been doing similar things, except it's on public service TV - watching most investigative journalism really gets me going. A guy called Black Pigeon Speaks, does some well presented videos. Mostly anti-immigration and such, but the way he does them makes them more believable than the usual guy ranting at the screen.

Yeah, Magicians just got better and better. Wife was looking up the books and the time frame wasn't very well presented though. Supposedly they are like 3rd or 4th year at this point, but it seems like just a few months.

Bruce, I know its old news but I just read about it, whats this about the Zulu king saying SA was better under apartheid and blacks are just destroying everything they inherited from the whites? What was the reaction in SA? Is he just some sort of crackpot?

Need to go in for an x-ray on my foot. Might be calcium deposits, might be a stress fracture. Drug update: no rage yet since starting the anti-depressants. Been taking b12 for stress management too and seems to be working. Only getting really irritable when I don't get enough sleep now. Been binge-watching questionable youtube videos and thats making me angry at the world though.

Pets are definitely worth more than their "replacement" cost. They aren't a TV or a toaster. I think reimbursement for reasonable veteranary costs is sensible, and the $5000 cap in some states for lost companionship etc. sounds like a reasonable award for that, but I've been in rental places for the last 20 years so I don't know how much is reasonable for vet costs as I haven't been allowed pets (I want a cat).
