The genius of South Park is that when they set out to make a point, while they present that point in a ridiculous over the top and offensive way, they also present it in a way that leaves you thinking "Well... can't argue with that"

South Park is brilliant satire peppered with enough potty humor to make it accessible to everyone. They also don't give a crap who they offend as long as they get their point across. Which I applaud.

Well, so far theres only 4 books. The 3rd one is my favorite so far. Just started reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. So far its really hard to read. Its a period piece and uses period language and while its easy enough to understand, like the Lord of the Rings books the way its written makes reading it a chore.

The downloadable characters are disappointing. The missions were fun, if short. 8 bucks for 45 minutes of content is not good value IMO. Especially since the characters aren't interactive on the Normandy.

Also, Jews conquered the land from the Canaanites and such, so under your logic and mine its not their land. The population numbers are vastly different now, the jews are the vast majority now with mass migration of European jews and such so the point is moot, but the Palestinians still got screwed.

Considering the jews were a minority and built their numbers through illegal immigration... They were less than a third of the population of the land when they were given control of it. And no arguments about it being their homeland as it hadn't been their country for about 3000 years. The Celts are from the Iberian peninsula and you don't see people arguing that Spain should be given to the Irish. I don't think either side is going about it the right way, but the Palestinians had their home stolen from them and given to a minority, most of which were foreign immigrants. If I'm going to sympathise with one side, it wouldn't be the Israelis.

I think if done a certain way it would be acceptible. If you have both a professional army, and compulsory military training. So that in the case of a defensive war your country's citizens are trained to repel invaders that would be acceptible. But compulsory service and being shipped out on operations and such during the compulsory service, no thanks.

So far my problems with Awakening are mostly the same problems I had with Origins. Namely the crashes, performance hits, and increasing load times. Other than that my main problem was that it tries to be so much more and fails. Vigil's keep wants to be Crossroad Keep, but it doesn't have nearly the depth. Also, if a modder can make the DLC compatible the same day the XP is released, why the hell couldn't Bioware. Sure you're going to be getting new better equipment in the XP, but not for at least a few hours into it.

Isnt that the case with all meat? Beef, pork, fowl...not a carnivore in the bunch. Pigs will eat meat quite cheerfully. So I've been told. They then didn't take the various supplements they needed in order to provide the nutrients they didn't get from meat and dairy and started getting sick all the time and were constantly cold. We laughed and ate cheeseburgers.

I liked Waterworld. Sometimes I feel like I am the only person in the world who did I liked Waterworld as well. Kevin Costner himself is an awful actor, but he's done some pretty good movies. Kinda like Brad Pitt. He doesn't always do a good job, but the movies he chooses tend to be pretty good.

Obama's main failing is that he believes the Republicans can be reasoned with. This belief has resulted in nothing being accomplished because no matter how much he tries to appease them, they won't compromise. Which on one hand is to be respected, they're sticking to their guns, on the other hand thats just stupid. You don't just stonewall the whole thing, you try to tag on something you want to pass in exchange for supporting what they want to pass. Its how the NDP gets anything done up here.

Airbourne - Raise the Flag New album came out. For those who don't know them they're basically a young AC/DC. Music is very similar, vocals are similar, lyrics are all about rock, partying, and chicks.

Excitement is me. The casting is fantastic and GRRM has been gushing about the production so hopefully will turn out good. Being a very low magic world will help the budget stay on track. Only major effects work I can see needed will be the direwolves.
