  1. I watched the first episode and the best word to describe it is "meh" The reality for me is there are just far too many excellent series on like Sons of Anarchy, The Newsroom, Boardwalk Empire and True Blood to spend time watching something that is mediocre
  2. Sometimes I really don't get the way you think and rationalize things Malc You don't really seem to care about important topics like women's rights or the abuse of gay people in Russia but you care about some vicious dog getting killed by the USA police? In South Africa there have been numerous incidents of stray Pit Bulls being involved in fatal attacks against children, the Police in this case did the right thing and I would argue was the only responsible course of action. The sad reality is that the owners of this Pit Bull should be charged with neglect of an animal as these dogs are dangerous and cannot be allowed to roam the streets
  3. I'm lovin' it. Yeah I think its stupendous as well
  4. I tend to follow that view around sleep. In the last year I have found since I got back to gym I need less sleep. If I wake up early I generally get out of bed. This morning I woke up at 4 am. I went to sleep at 10 pm last night so 6 hours is fine for me.
  5. Who's "we"? The Ankh-Morpork guild of assassins? "The Ankh-Morpork guild of assassins"
  6. Just to clarify we are talking about BG2, are you saying that BG2 EE won't have additional areas to explore?
  7. What a disgrace if its true, I can believe it is very possible. Especially if you consider the fact that the intention of Al-Shabaab is not to rob stores but to cause maximum carnage for political reasons
  8. This weekend there is another exhibition that I will be attending, its called Rage and its the biggest and most popular gaming show in Johannesburg http://www.rageexpo.co.za/
  9. http://baldursgateii.com/buy.html So we have a release date for BG2 EE from Beamdog? Anyone mildly interested?
  10. what if it was a evil demon child? Good point, then I shall despatch the foul beast to the nether regions !!!
  11. Finish the game for Isabela, finish the game for Isabela
  12. "I don't really understand why everyone is shooting at me"...you're American? I also want to play this game, in fact this is the next game on my list
  13. Yeah I enjoyed the Risen series, it may not be a Gothic but it still has that " open world map that you need to explore to find things" vibe about it. Also there are some good non-critical quests that force you to explore the islands Piranha Bytes world building is truly impressive. They have an uncanny ability to cram a 14 story building's worth of exploration into a seemingly 1 bedroom loft's worth of space and yet make it look natural. There's a real wonder to coming around a seemingly plain looking corner that seems not to lead anywhere or even have much room for anything, and suddenly there's all this cool stuff for you to explore. Imagine if they had Bethesda's budget to work with? That's a good way to summarize the Piranha Bytes game design, good one

  15. So, no real chance of playing that non-violent? That was my real hope for GTA Online, being able to play a non-criminal, and just cruise around with people on bikes, or play golf with people, or whatever, and stay away from murder-fest 2013. If it's all just people shooting each other, I have zero interest in it. Of course, as long as there's no PC version, it's all a moot point anyway. You can play non-violent, I just don't see anything to do. I wanted to do co-op or stuff. But all the missions are deathmatch, race, or objective where you're still shooting at each other. There's supposed to be tennis and golf, but I'm not sure if that unlocks later, it's not showing on my map. And again there's racing, but I don't care for that at all. I wanted to do heists and car chases. I wanted to assault gang turf, take on the military base, or other criminally co-op things. But nope... deathmatch or race. Early days young grasshopper, early days. Give Rockstar time to add meaningful content outside of killing people. They have just finished one of the largest and successful single player games in history. Allow the poor Dev's a little break There is no PC version (yet?), therefore they don't get a break. Get back to work and crank me out a PC version, you lazy bastards! Actually that's a very relevant point , back to the development room Rockstar...NO break for you until we see a PC version !!!

  17. Typical student cooking, nothing wrong
  18. Yum those Chicken Breasts sound delicious, if I come over tomorrow night can I join you for dinner?
  19. Tonight I'm making myself pasta with mushroom, onions, garlic and sausage. I'll also be adding a nice, pasta cheese sauce ( not homemade...bought in the store but good quality )
  20. Good points, all I can say is I have to believe that the USA can succeed or all the world is in for tumultuous economic times
  21. The last election was not a one issue election and this isn't just about the Republicans. The latest poll shows a clear majority (57%) of Americans are opposed to Obamacare. And if you track the history you will find that Obamacare has rarely had a popular majority supporting it and that's been clear from multiple polls even before Obama's re-election. So this isn't just a Republican thing. Check out the link below - it tracks the approval rating over the course of the last 4.5 years. Winning an election does not allow a government the right to say "Oh you voted for us now shut up for the next four years". Winning an election does not automatically disenfranchise the losing party from having it's voice heard. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/obama_and_democrats_health_care_plan-1130.html I really enjoy and appreciate your posts Kgambit but I think you missing my point. Obama is Obamacare and Obamacare is Obama. The two are inextricably linked. Obama's presidency will be defined by the failure or success of the new proposed healthcare system. IMO despite all the other important and relevant things he has done this is what will endure and what people will remember. Of course we all realize that any elected government doesn't mean that government can do what they want or that they can't be challenged. But you cannot deny that despite opposition from some sectors to Obamacare this is what he stands for and what was a major source of opposition from the Republicans and Romney. So when people voted for Obama they voted for Obamacare and the Democrats won. This obviously needs to be implemented and the Republicans are not helping the situation by causing a government shutdown, they had there chance and they lost it when there candidate was soundly beaten in the elections
  22. For FPS, mouse and keyboard is the only way to go. I can't stand playing them with controllers and I don't see how the steam controller is going to change that. It looks like it might be pretty cool otherwise, for other game genres. I have come to realize that a PC Controller is extremely useful, in fact I would argue mandatory, for certain games that have been ported to PC. Like Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders Yes, though the need for controller for certain games is direct result of lazy port. Either because the devs didn't bother to make the K&M controls good or because the moneymen didn't allow them to do it. I personally vote no with my wallet for games like that, no matter how good the game otherwise is. Yeah I hear you and agree. The main reason for me in using a Controller in Sleeping Dogs was because you couldn't remap the KB controls. This was laziness from the Developers. But the Controller did make the game so easy to play and I am at a point now where I won't play a good game just because a Controller is necessary, I see that as " cutting your nose off to spite your face". And Sleeping Dogs is a great and entertaining game But I do understand your point

  24. I voted for having children in the game and being able to kill them for the realism factor But I don't see why anyone should want to kill children anyway For me its not something I would ever consider during my RPG journeys
  25. Sure but the Republicans are claiming that the implementation of Obamacare and has been undemocratic and that's its there duty to the American people to stop it. If the majority of the American people were opposed to it they could have voted for Romney. But the reality is that despite the fact the Republicans for years claimed that the American people don't want Obamacare the voting facts dispute this. The fact that Obama won the election again does show that there is more support for Obamacare than there is opposition to it, this is how a Democracy works. Republicans needs to accept this and move on to other contentious political fights
