We went to a really authentic German restaurant yesterday called Schwabinger http://schwabinger.co.za/ The food was amazing, I had one of the best Eisbeins I have ever had

Turkey is not the worst in the region, not by a long shot. Remember Turkey is instrumental in areas like The airstrike campaign against ISIS, Turkey provides logistical support to numerous Western air forces Turkey is very important in helping to process and contain large numbers of refugees wanting to get into the EU ISIS is still the worst by far
-
But guys despite Turkeys internal domestic strife the country is of immense strategic value to the West and is important to ensure stability in the region So we dont want Turkey to fail
-
Yes but this only will be a temporary cessation of the airstrikes, Turkey needs time to assess this coup and there will be numerous arrests Sounds to me more like a purge of non-Islamic fanatic generals and a spit in the face of US for US now officially supporting Kurds in north Iraq Yes there is some truth in this concern, Erdogan has said he can now purge Turkey of ...people who oppose him? http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/07/turkey-government-launches-purge-attempted-coup-160716162415421.html

Oh QFT Zora is a true armchair master of how " massive structural changes to the EU are necessary and how the West is about to collapse " yet he lives, judges and "shows concern from his nice safe world of NZ" Remember Zora wants the West to fail, I am use to debates with people like him...since 9/11 in fact. Dont take what he says seriously, its always the same. Part of what he says is true and relevant and part of what he says is biased and hyperbole ...its best to consider him a permanent " hostile witness about the West "

Is exactly the question we should be asking. Sure 'Islam' will pop up- and should be adressed- as 'communist' or 'liberal' did back in the day or 'Christian' if we go back a little further.. but seeing as clamping down back then didn't work at all, perhaps we shouldn't stop asking when we hit the first label... But Ros the common denominator is Islamic Extremism Its not the same as Islam which represents the majority of Muslims
-
Gfted1...I detect the hint of sarcasm in your tone
-
I'm not so sure mankind should be the ones to pay? I would rather Islamic extremism was eradicated than everyone else pay?

I fear we're all underestimating the rapidly growing discontent of the western middle class with the status quo.. To the point that I fear both Trump and Le Pen have a very real chance to win in their respective elections. Immediately after the Brexit vote I thought that there was that risk, but Trump seems to be intent on staying within his primary talking points, which appeal to the Republican base and almost literally no one else in the US. His VP pick appears to be dire, and has already been lambasted even before it has been officially announced. Guys Hilary Clinton is going to win the Presidential race in November, I thought this was something we had all begrudgingly or kind of agreed on? Why are we even doubting this?

The problem is when Muslims self-segregate which it seems they do there from what I'm reading, assimilation isn't going to happen. They have to want it and it seems they don't. It's becoming a problem here in the US in the refugee communities. The Islamic refugees are forming isolated and insular groups that choose not to participate in the society they live in. You can't force someone to assimilate. Unless of course you are Borg. So France is one of the worst examples of successful integration, the reasons are complex and its not all the fault of the French. So yes the French Muslim community also needs to accept its share or responsibility But you dont want the USA to end up like France with real examples of Muslim segregation. But in the USA I cant see this happening, its unlikely?
-
No I don't support the view this is a example of " cultural incompatibility " France does indeed face unique issues around integration of parts of its Muslim community but there are many other EU countries that have been very effective at integration
-
Guys France does face unique challengers and additional risks from Islamic extremism because of there perceived failures to integrate French speaking Muslims from the former colonies of Tunisia and Algeria There are real ghettos in France where disillusioned and disenfranchised Muslims live who dont feel they are part of the French community. These ghettos are hotbeds of Islamic extremism, I would argue France faces the biggest risk of attack from extremism than most other Western countries My support and thoughts go out to the French people

@ Shady Sorry to hear that about your granddad, my thoughts are with you

You are correct about this, I assumed they would be hookers but not necessarily, they probably students or other women I am impressed you knew this, I didnt think most people knew about this appalling practice .When did you learn about this?
-
How did you know that? I do stay in a nice, security patrolled, high walled, gated and affluent community but this is exactly where I want to stay, remember I come from white privilege
-
I thought you guys may appreciate that but you also never know in SA because we always looking for new things that may be racist or offensive
-
If it has shifted it has done so in the direction of "less freedom". Sounds to me like it's time to stockpile weapons, ammo, gold coins and canned food again, What am I saying? It's ALWAYS time to do that! Yes thats true, I remember when I first noticed you about to have a break after the second Obama victory ... I didnt know you well then so I thought " this guy is really depressed. He is even buying gold always known as safe bet in economic uncertainty "
-
You raise some good points but remember 70 % of the USA are white. So lets say there are 210 million white people and only 11 million voted for him now So only 1/20 of all white people supported him so nothing should be mandatory or defined about Trump or his outcome
-
I'd be reluctant to ascribe a singular motive or feeling to large groups of people involving complex situations of which they may only be partially aware. Sure I agree with that sentiment But I have had that debate with Sarex and Drowsy many times and I cant recall anyone ever supporting me ...one guy once but he wasnt local So I assumed people just didnt care to point out the obvious reality that Serbia was involved in war crimes but remember the guys deny this and will end up ignoring you and calling you a troll So when you point it out that will probably be the last time either guy will speak to you I dont compromise on certain truths so I am use to some people just blocking me ..I think there are about 10 people who block me
-
No Sorry I was talking to Shady but I posted it in Hurlshots family thread which was inappropriate for that thread so I moved it

isn't their purpose to place all of earth under control of the restored caliphate? That would mean you could do nothing at all and still be their enemy if you didn't acquiesce to their religious views and authority. Yes so ISIS in Iraq and Syria want to establish the Caliphate This was local Muslims becoming radicalized but they never went out SA and we face a real challenge with our Muslim community because they believe 9/11 and ISIS are the creations of CIA and The West..so we still have to get people to accept ISIS is real

Was there an army base on Bahrain...Qatar is quite nice but not as good as Bahrain But I need to mention something important, I know you dont care for these details but its bothering me I went to Bahrain when I was working in Saudi for one of those 3 one month projects I did. If you have been to Saudi you will know the Saudi's must be the laziest nation in this earth....almost NO local Saudi works. They just pay for other people to work So my managers on this project were Jordanians, very friendly and just nice people. It was interesting because none of them actually liked the Saudis, they said they arrogant but like me they paid well Now these Jordanians use to drink in Bahrain and use the services of the Russian hookers but they were all married and to be honest they had no respect for women generally and absolutely no respect for hookers And they kept telling me these really crude and offensive jokes about women thinking I would find them funny and we have strict policies at work around codes of conduct and what we can and cannot ever say to customers so I couldn't even tell them I was offended by there humor And then to make things worse, and this was during the morning when we getting drunk and there were no Russians, they confirmed a story I heard about these illegal and truly reprehensible brothels in the Saudi desert that no foreigners are allowed to visit. These brothels are old school medieval structures and when hookers go there for these hectic parties they never get to leave...seriously they dont allow them to leave and apparently they get literally mass raped and horribly abused...to death which can take weeks and the girls are kept in chains or in cages but they never escape because these isolated brothels are in the desert. Of course this is illegal but its apparently something that happens So this made me feel very uncomfortable and when we met the Russians I was very detached from any sexual experience because of what they told me so I paid my date but spent the 2 days partying and drinking with her...no sex but she was very good company...but the guilt never left me of what may befall these girls I needed to tell you this because you are one of the forum members who I do respect due to what you have done with your life and your military service. If you said to me " I cant believe you have paid for services of hookers or strippers in your life " that wouldn't bother me as its true but I dont want you to think I paid for sexual services with ladies in a country like Bahrain knowing how some of the girls get abused...or just never get to return home So in closing, yes I absolutely do support gender equality and my time with the Russian girls was more about companionship I know you dont really judge anyone on these forums as you keep your own council but I wanted to explain what I really did in Bahrain so there is no assumptions about my integrity ( as much as people think I have, I do and some peoples view on me does matter )

Pokemon is one of those games in SA that has been discovered to have racist undertones ...so we dont really play it

This is a strange post and a direct contradiction of how you comment on all topics...you have views on anything you want to...and guess what you live, in Finland So its not relevant to where I live to say " Serbia committed war crimes" ....sorry this is a difficult concept to understand " how can someone comment on a conflict when they dont live there "....I'll be honest I just dont have the interest to really explain how this is possible Maybe someone else will explain it to you? What is sarcasm? ? You were being sarcastic? And how!
