FO: NV (Spoilers)
oh, I see, thanks. on a related note: can anyone explain what do I do in the White Glove society quest? I want to bring down Mortimer and his scheme, save the boy and stay on good terms with the society. but so far anything I do results in the whole building becoming hostile. very frustrating I can't enter the investigator's room. I can't take the boy to his father (even after Mortimer himself asked me to), I can't kill him either. what the hell?

haven't seen a Veteran Ranger yet, but on the pictures they look like the guys from the Kerberos Panzer squad EDIT: can anyone explain how do I hide my weapon inside a casino? I get an option to <keep holdout weapon>, my sneak skill is 100. I choose this option and nothing happens...

it was so long ago that I had played Wasteland, I don't remember how Las Vegas was depicted in that game but I do remember that the game itself looked (err, sounded rather than looked I guess) very much like F1

but this is what Fallout is all about. the bombs had fallen back in 2077, but life didn't stop after that. it's not like an anomaly, that can cover and morph the whole territory and it's inhabitants. Fallout is not about the wasteland itself but about the impact the war had on the society.

Dragon Age 2
I hope you're right

Dragon Age 2
this thread gave me the impression that the whole game is built around two people telling the same story from two different points of view, so I figured it's gonna be happening throughout the whole game.

I'm not North America and I played Vindictus. it got boring pretty fast. stopped playing after lv 15

the majority of players don't give a damn about companions, I didn't even realize they had quests. I see them as mules, nothing more.

Dragon Age 2
looks just like Origins. anyway, I'm skeptical about this whole exaggerated/non-exaggerated thing, I don't think playing through most instances twice is a good game mechanic

FO: NV (Spoilers)
it has the Brotherhood insignia on, so my guess is it's a bug

FO: NV (Spoilers)
it's a bug, yeah. you can give it to your companions, and they will wear it too

it's a reward for completing the last quest for them (the one where you have to find 3 items for their filtration system in 3 different vaults)

FO: NV (Spoilers)
yeah, 3 patrols in total, that makes 6 sets of 51b, I recycled them all into 2 sets for me and Veronica
-
FO: NV (Spoilers)
wait, you still have Boone in your party? Veronica won't join in this case
-
FO: NV (Spoilers)
same thing happened to me in another quest, I already had the necessary items on me, but the game couldn't recognize it and kept pointing me at places I have already been to

oh man, last time I touched 3dsmax was 15 years ago, when I was still into graphics, when it was new. now I just want a bunch of ready models to put on a map and populate the whole place

well, there's also the fact that GECK wouldn't work for me. any kind of action would just make it crash. but hey, in my eyes you're a modding god right now since you know so much more than I do, with all my motivation (been waiting for a good tool since 1999)

FO: NV (Spoilers)
it depends. the first time for me Boone dropped was in Vault 34, but that's because of his stupid AI making him attack anything in sight with no way of stopping him. in narrow corridors he would usually get overwhelmed by ghouls including Glowing Ones, and there was no way to save him... the companion wheel can use an upgrade or two, that's for sure. I'd prefer a 'SWAT' type of dropdown menu, bound to a certain key, activated at any time, not only by targeting him. and I really wish I could exit the damn wheel by pressing 'E'...

I always wanted a 3D editor based on a shooter to be able to make a small Fallout game. and then BAM, F3's mod tool - the GECK - gets announced, and I'm all hyped up! when it came out, I downloaded it... and yeah, it's just like Morrowind's. except, I couldn't make heads or tails out of Morrowind's Construction Set GECK was no exception. I'm probably just too dumb, but I'll be damned if I managed to make a single house... damn, I hate it when developers don't give any easy to comprehend tutorials along with their tools.
