ok, found another buggy quest (maybe it;'s not the quest itself so much as the game's engine reacting to certain things or occurrences). the one with sgt. Contreras, the infamous NCR quartermaster. his string of quests is supposed to give you access to his "secret stash", well the game lets you finish it, yeah. but at some point it stopped feeding me updates, whenever I'd close a part of the quest, it would play me the soundeffect but wouldn't show any text or give any xp. so, when it was all over, I came back to Contreras for my reward and he acted like we first met, only there was still an option "So, where do I find Price, again?". no access to his special list, however... well, that was a complete waste of time. also, I'm really disappointed by the Van Graffs' quest. I let them kill Cass hoping the game would give me a chance to avenge her. it's a real bummer there's no option to side with the Legion at the warehouse. what's more, you can't just come and kill them all, you'll lose Freeside fame if you do. and to top it off, everywhere I go I end up helping NCR, which is exactly opposite of my intentions. now I'm trying to figure out if anyone else needs the Gun Runners' manufacturing plans.

ok, thanks for ruining everything! now just don't tell me how to open the console, and I'll be fine. I have no will, don't you know? @mkreku I got it, it's a Gobi Scout Rifle. has a little less damage tjan a Sniper Rifle, but a lot more DPS (184 agains 169). but not that good overall, at least not worth the trouble

man, I'm lvl 23 and I haven't even been to the Strip yet there's so much to do! I tried going to the Black Mountain, and it was hell. it's swarming with super mutant masters and superior nightkin, not to mention centaurs and a constant 1-2 rads per second. reminds me of the Military Base, I bet this Tabitha character is Melchior's lost child and has pet deathclaws. not to mention I want inside the Enclave hidden bunker before I go anywhere near the endgame

hmmm, I had one ranger mention, that the place was wiped out... by NCR! when it was me and Boone, ungrateful bastards. it's impossible to get to other than following the road to Jacobstown and making a turn at a fork (it's visible on the map). @Bos_hybrid haha, man, that's evil

man, I already wasted a couple of thousand... mostly 9 mm, 10 mm and 5.56, I have around 1500 .308 left though the world has ended but life has to go on

I have the same symptoms, just not that bad. game freezes when in full-screen mode, crashes if windowed. I switched to windowed full-time just to not have to reset the machine. so far it's been bearable. no crashes in the last 2 days. not sure what causes it. can be anything

damn, I completely forgot you need training to wear Power Armor... already have 4 sets of 51b and can't use it btw, how do you get inside BoS's bunker without lockpicking at 100? abuse the commlink?

wow, I want a 5.56 scoped, and with such a badass name! where do I get it? the Anti-materiel can be bought from Gun Runners. it's fairly expensive (around 6000 caps), but by the time I came to them for the first time, I already had around 15k on me. that's my favorite exactly beats Bethesda's DC hands down.

oh, almost forgot, I'm with the Kings now: had Sergio give me a greasy hairdoo

for me it was like... 19 rounds in total I have about 100 now, but I completely forgot I could craft 'em also, I am currently using the Q-35 (which isn't very good against armored foes), so I guess it's a bug, Nepenthe

it should, at least for two-handed weapons. anyone know if there's a peaceful way to resolve the situation between Cassidy and the Van Graffs? before he kills her, Jean Baptiste says something about her being a pain in Crimson Caravans' owner's ass. but earlier I made her sell her business to CC... doesn't seem right to me

looks like the anti-materiel rifle is this game's Bozar, which makes sense, unlike a scoped .50 cal weapon that only shoots in long bursts. only problem: I can't find enough .50 rounds, they;re very rare... I'll save it for the Black Mountain super mutant masters fest.

I'm suddenly having serious issues with my framerate. wonder if it's hardware overheating or an issue with the game itself

even so, the hacking minigame in this version of Fallout is a lot better than Mass Effect's 1 and 2 and Alpha Protocol hacking minigames combined. (also, doesn't high science let you hack terminals automatically?)

depends on the companion, but yeah, Rex can be taken along with Boone. just made it to Jacobstown, and so far it's my favorite area in the game also, I kept that Novac Nightkin alive, gonna try and cure him after I finish with J-town and for the love of everything that is dear to you, where's the BoS bunker? I found a bunker near J-town, but I need a key, and the BoS safehouse requires a key too... I took the Explorer perk and only need the location's name. pleeeease

ugh, that reminds me of what it's like in Alpha Protocol, when you have 3 laptops between two auto-saves and keep screwing up the last hack

what I don't understand is the purpose of having the Computer Whizz and, ugh, "padlock whizz" perks. I can keep reloading and trying again, or is it different on hardcore?
