BioWare made very silly force powers and feats, stuff as "master dual wield" do not exist in Star Wars d20 and neither does the "... droid" powers. From what looks OE is reworking force powers (and I hope the force system) so I assume the Biowarian silliness is removed from the game.

I was here BEFORE Interplay forums gone down and BEFORE SW:TSL was anounced.

Yes, even if I prefere they would be downloaded and the data added to a main "datapad" were we simply selected what datapad data we wanted to view, kinda like with Karzaa.

What I want to see in KOTOR II
Drakron replied to Fearless_Jedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not here but done in BioWare forums before release. Likely its gone due to a purge but limb removal in a RPG is a bad idea for several reasons, mosre important is because "if we can do it so can do everyone" unwritten rule in RPGs and as such your character would be subjected to the same limb removal rules. Jedi Knight series are FPS and SWkotOR series are RPG. -
What I want to see in KOTOR II

Not again .... -
No, Malek fueled feelings within Bastila for her to change her perception of actions and events. We never actually see Bastila destroying entire worlds and murdering millions, its dificult to compare Bastila to Anakin because they have diferent ideas and flaws. There are diferences of light and dark side,it could be said dark side is negative as light side is positive as we are have both the negative and positive.

***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Hutts have their own part of the galaxy (Hutt space) and actually predate the Republic creation (they are not part of it) and even if saying Hutt empire is a bit far fetched they did in fact been involved in military conflict. -
Unlikely, you forget that Bastila was tortured by Malek for a week and he simply used the dark side within her to twist her perception of things. Bastila never was a true dark sider, what was used by Malek is what all jedi have or had at one time. Also you are forgetting the redemption dialogue were Revan shattered the lies that Malek feed her, Bastila knows exactly what the dark side is and what the light side is and made her choice, if she fallen again that would mean she lean nothing but that is not possible because if it was she would have died on the Star Forge.

Wookies sould have the rage ability. Anyway, its the force system being change to something that emulates the movies or we end up with the "Jedi Knight" system again?
-
Perhaps its time to inform you all that you all have midichlorians, even your cat have then.
-
Sith spirits predates SWkotOR, Marka Ragnos for example shows up in the comics more that one time and Raven used him for Academy.
-
Sith have their own version.

***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Unofficial? Dark Horse comics are as official as they can get, Wizards also is a official Star Wars publisher as much Del Rey is. Just because its not published by LucasArts or LucasBooks does not mean it does not get pass by then, in fact right next to the Wizards logo there is the LucasBooks logo and same goes with the comics, right under the Dark Horse logo there is the LucasBooks logo. FYI as explained the movies are absolute cannon with the movie novelizations being second and the EU novels being third, the games are at the bottom of what is considered cannon (not a suprise since many rewrite events such as in X-wing were Luke is not the one destroying the Death Star) and only thing under it is unofficial material (that is, what do not bear the Lucas logo) such as fan fiction or what is pointed out to be "alternative" such as the "Tales" comics series. http://www.darkhorse.com/zones/starwars/timeline.php -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, I read many boards and sites so I am capable of collecting information about it. Also its not hard to know about the time period that predates the movies, only the comics handled that time and finding stuff about it its really not too hard, also I own some of Star Wars d20 sorce books that have the information. -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is a big diference, as long the Sith were without oppoments they remained united. When the Republic come into picture there was a split, one side wanted to attack and the other wanted to wait and that was the only known time the 1000 years old Sith Empire split into two diferent groups. That alone shown the Sith Empire was stable and that the Sith can be stable, problems started after the destruction of the Sith empire were Sith knowledge was used for power and even then you have Kun that united the Sith. As for human nations ... well we have many examples of nations that existed for centuries (like the romans), if the Galatic Republic managed to survive 25 000 years (and the Hutts even pre date it) that just points that its very possible to have long lived civilizations, the Sith are often missrepresented as being "every man to himself" as they are not, there is a clear stucture in the Sith organization and if the cleaning lady kills the Sith Lord she goes to be executed for murder even combat for leadership obey certain laws and are not required to be letal. -
How do you plan to change the inventory, if at all
Drakron replied to agris's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I expect a complete change of the system, starting by it being mouse driven. -
Because that would be a lie, the Odessy engine won no awards (not a suprise since its really nothing special) and even if you can bet that BioWare will be listed on the opening credits (like in IWD series and PS:T) they have no reason to list then in the box cover (the back in a diferent subject, they will be credited there) since they dont want to crowd the box with names. Besides BioWare less name recognition that LucasArts.

***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This is NOT the Galatic empire, there is no "jedi purge" and Coruscant is the capital world of the Galatic Republic. As someone pointed out if we follow the dark side option and became a Sith Lord then there would be no Jedi Order, this bulls*** about a Sith Empire being sefl-destructive plains IGNORES the fact there WAS a Sith Empire WITHOUT external enemies that STAND for 1000 years, it was destroyed when they encountered the Republic (A.K.A. a external enemy), also 1000 years before the Battle of Yavin there was Darth Bane that recreates the Sith and sets the rule of two. -

Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The main Jedi temple in on Coruscant. HOW MANY f***ING TIMES DO I HAVE TO GO OVER THIS? Look games are are at the bottom of the barrel as cannon goes, they can remove the Jedi Order and rip-off the original triology all they want and officialy it never happens because everything else tales precedence over this (and other) games. -
We will likely end up with PC and Xbox players using the same forum with is a invitation to disaster but ... I really hope it does NOT end up like the BioWare forums were the developers neglected the PC area and posted almost exclusive on the Xbox area, with ends up showing in the game.

You "forgot" to use the force? oh, come on....
Drakron replied to Meshugger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ofensive? Lets see, the force is not something that can be "turn off", anyone that can use the force is able to do so. At lv1 a force user class can use a little of the Force, their skill is not enough to go around pushing Star Destoyers and so are very limited, expecialy since their "force-o-meter" (Vitality in Star Wars d20 and the blue bar in SWKotOR) is really not capable of pulling that kind of stunts. I remenber when fighting Juhami that my character could pull off about 2 force powers and that it. The ability to use Force powers is not a issue. Now the "mind wipe" was done because of the Revan twist, it was not really needed without it (we could been a jedi assigned to Bastila party and have it evolve from that, the story could have done in many ways) and the idea that the Jedi Order go around blocking the ability for people to use the force is a silly, if they had that ability there would be no Sith, the ability to use the force os something that cannot be explained, in fact every living being is capable of doing so (even the Vorg) but only if force sensative and that is a feat and you can never lose a feat in the d20 system. The idea of mind blocking is really not very good and its as dumb as "mind wipe" (with, BTW, was not what happened in SWKotOR, Revan mind was shattered by the damage and the Jedi Council simply implanted memories to give Revan a new life, if the Jedi Order did a "Mind Wipe" it would been a DARK SIDE action since they were destroying, do not get fooled by the Destroy Droid being a LS power since things like that in Star Wars d20 are very much dark side) since it puts some restriction that is neither supported by the game universe or mechanics. Also lets not get Jedi Knight series mechanics in here ... apples to oranges ... -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Palpatine actor screwed up on that line, the Republic as it says in Star Wars web site started 25 000 before the Empire. There was always the same Galatic Republic since its formation until Palpatine recreates the Republic as the Galatic Empire. -
You "forgot" to use the force? oh, come on....
Drakron replied to Meshugger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Mind blocking is as dumb as mind wipe, the Jedi Order only take the lightsaber away in the far more restritive prequels Jedi Order. Starting with forcei powers is not exactly a problem. -
What I want to see in KOTOR II
Drakron replied to Fearless_Jedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I fully agree with the force system needs to be changed. In SWKotOR there was heavy penalties from NOT doing a 2/18 combo to play as a Jedi, I found amusing they start talking about how "powerful" the force was with me and every single Jedi in my group have more force powers that I had, I could understand Jolee due to his class but really a 8/12 did penalized jedi that were short of powers. The advantages of the skill system is one a Force User, always a Force User since the powers are all open and its a question of skill, a low level jedi is not skillful enough to create some powers and does not penalize in going multiclassed in terms of using the force. -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
SWKotOR had too many planets, they end up small and lacked any depth .... the fact Taris looked to be the bigger one just shows how the other were small. I prefere few planets that are actualy planets, not MIR station.
