That is what I want, removal of spikes and all that trash to make skill base characters useful. T3 was the best example, its whole funtion on the game was opeing ONE door and nothing more, I would not think its strange one of the "quests" require us to break into a heavly guarded base and cannot take a direct combat option, having a droid that could open and close doors to make way to the quest objective without facing combat (or at least not the entire base at once) would make a fine adiction to gameplay and even better if it was the player skill that made it.

Wrong,in SWKotOR for every 4 skill points you need one less computer spike. Also that is not HOW the d20 funtion or INTENDS to funtion, you cannot simply use resources to compensate the lack of skill in a area ... lets not forget its a TEAM game were each character chips in his skill. What SWKotOR did was the "do it al" character that need no help from its companions as long he had enough resources, hardly a team oriented game.

***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is conflic, there is no way you can have 5 game worlds and 7 planets ... that is just daft. I will be not suprised if that are pulling stuff out of their ass to "improve" their article .... -
Chances of someone seeing a picture of me as the same as a snowball in hell ... actually they are even worst.
-
Not to say if SWKotOR 2 is a flop LucasArts will revise their plans ... its not like "Underworld" you know ...
-
Agree, SWKotOR also had some rather insane DCs with just shows how much f***ed up the system was Another thing, break the persuade into diplomacy and intimidate so Guardians are not the masters of diplomacy as consulars and Consulars are not as intimidating as a guardians, that sould allow some replayability as not every dialogue stituation can be solved by the all mighty "persuade". Getting rid of that "item helping" garbage will also help.

Seven planets, we know two of them....
Drakron replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think its time to end the madness. Korriban was a tomb world, it was not even the capital world of the Sith Empire but the advantage of that planet is the amount of Sith lore that could be found in Korriban tombs. After the Sith Empire ended they spread over the galaxy in hiding, known were the ones in Yavin 4 (not the moon) others in Onderon and even in the Empress Teta system The best know place in the demon moon of Dxun that is fully into the dark side. Point I am trying to make in the time that the Sith Empire collapesed and the creation of the Galatic Empire there is no actual Sith strongholds because as a military they cannot challange the Republic and even the Jedi Order is capable of destroying then because they are not united. Well naturaly the Sith keep a relative low profile during that time and are more a thorn into the Republic and Jedi Order side that a treat until they are united by a strong leader (like Kun) were they can became a bigger problem. -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I never said it was a bad, it can be a great thing if that is actually true and means something in the game. And I call it that at least because "Sith Lords" is as bad as "Attack of the Clones" as a title. -
Don't force me to play a jedi

A few, Twil lek and some would work well and not even need voice overs ... problem is the more exotic ones, expecialy if there is a romance option. -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
Drakron replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hilarious indid ... let me guess, we will have the same retarded force system and a total of 6 skills options. Also I am reading a lot of crap about s*** Lords, I read in BioWare forums we actualy say how SWKotOR ended and the game story will reflect that. -
Don't force me to play a jedi
Drakron replied to triCritical's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I left Interplay forums long ago Grommir, my knowledge of FO3 is very limited. No reason why not having ghouls and SM in Fallout 3, heck FO:T had then (not in character generation however) and even a droid with their own unique perks. And as for SWKotOR ... well its that or they were too damn lazy to implement then. -
Don't force me to play a jedi
Drakron replied to triCritical's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Allow me to point a few things. Fallout universe is human dominated, SM and Ghouls are humans, in Fallout 2 being a human was only required because of the Vault 13 connection. Now lets look at Star Wars, in this storyline we start as a Jedi (or not, I really dont know) and being a Jedi is not restricted to humans, other races can and usually are force users. In SWKotOR they had the "Revan" aspect and if we selected Twi -
Actually role-player the Moon Waltz scene shows that Squall is atracted to Rinoa (and that even before they are intrudoced), he does not show by actions or words since its Squall we are talking about, also when she starts to talk about Seifer Squall gets real depresed. Most of it not shown in dialogue but facial expresion, just look at Squall face when she goes to Cid during the Moon Waltz scene.

Cheap shoots now Grommir ... I supposed that sould be normal from someone that uses other people reviews to make some obscure point about some game they never actual played. P.S. I could not care less about what people think of me, I dont have such a big ego ... unlike some people.
-
Grommir have no idea of what he is talking about ... (with is a damn shame because most time Grommir makes good points) there are no dream sequences in FF VIII (and that alone is a heck of a spoiler) and Rinoa "coma" had its reasons ... not that Grommir have any idea since HE DID NOT PLAYED THE GAME and relies on IGN (with is alone laughatble at best) for information, perhaps he sould read Amazon reviews as well. I am not even comment of Grommir idea of how Silent Hill 2 is, not worth my time and energy. *shrug* Perhaps Grommir sould buy Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness since the reviews were very nice to that game ...
-
You mean ... talking ... like this ... to then?
-
Geez Grommir its not MY fault you dont play then, more people have a PS2 that a Xbox (of course FF VIII was also had a PC version and do does Silent Hill 2 and since I presume everyone is using a PC to post of this forms ...). I know you have a Xbox and even if I was not 100% sure of you having SH2 at least you could have and as for my FF VIII comments they were aimed at the public and not directlty towards you. You really cannot stop making comments on stuff you dont know and use guides and reviews to push some point ... why I am unsure, god complex perhaps?
-
? What on earth are you talking about, I said Squall reaction to Rinoa coma and there are no dream sequences in FF VIII.
-
Rinoa-Squall was well done since it was FF VIII story, when Rinoa goes into a coma they handled Squall extreamly well. Besides romances in games are not exactly "standart", as said Gothic 2 lacks one and have a fine brothel (I was suprised when THAT movie started but then again its a european game) but stuff like that is uncomon due to the US market.
-
So dont comment, its ceratinly NOT typical and if you look the IDIOT that give it a 6 and the overall reviews is a 8. Let me tell you, I played the damn thing and after the tape I was so depresed I wanted to just go over it, its a game were just inspecting a item affects the ending. You own a Xbox and so I advise you to get it and I rarely advise for people to get games.

If you dont know already I disagreed with how SWKotOR implemented skills, it was done purely on a powergamer point of view. Repair means you fix stuff and sould be fixing stuff, not build or assemble stuff even if its possible you could get some bonus from repair as you would get some bonus from craft when repairing something you could build. If they dont want to implement the craft skills, fine since craft skills are rarely used (except if you playing a jedi since you need to craft your character lightsaber) but throwing it in a "catch all mechanic" Repair skill is stupid, at least rename the damn skill to mechanic instead of insulting logic. Personaly I rather have more skills and correctly implemented skill points (that means more) instead of a hand full of "catch all" skills and skill point per level. And on the subject, lets NOT nerf Int again ...
-
I said most Grommir ... most. NwN was rushed, it shown with the large amount of bugs and broken scripts and even BG2 feel they rushed some parts of it, true that is likely just uncompleted quests implementation and lets not go over Throne of Bhall. And no, its not the label that means maturity (I feel a lot of times "M" rated is more like "its M rated for teens to sneak in and watch/play") but BG2 is certainly no Silent Hill 2 in maturity (its more like Silent Hill 3).

The best thing about KotOR was...

Well it was a Xbox game, console games tend to have small maps. -
Just say 'no' to Johnny Quest villains!
Drakron replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, she is not lying since the Alderaan people are devoted pacifists. Alderaan on the other hand was a Core world and have no much significance to the Empire in any field, also even if they had no sociaty bend into armed rebellion they did not liked the Empire and likely supported the Rebel Alliance. However Darth was attached to the Grand Moff Tarkin and it was him that ordered the plantet to be destroyed and not Vader.
