"Cute" only works when trying to mimic a anime look, as mentioned Silver had then and fail. Even FF IX had then and failed (compared with VII and VIII).
-
Then it sucks, SH3 was very like that (except it had cutscenas and dialogue) and was the weakest of the series. Fact is they milked RE dry and are running out of ideas, RE is a action game, not a survival horror game.
-
RE is not doing too good since RE1, they are pretty much doing the same thing over and over again. Dificult to get scared at seeing yet another T-virus mutation. Thats what happens when milking something dry ... /Leaving as requested.

Polls shown the spanish did not support the Iraq invasion and part of PSOE campain was to remove Spain from the Iraq. Besides Al-Queda is full of it, I bet Al-QUeda can claim have ongoing operations on the South Pole ...

France and Germany have ecomonical problems and unemploment problems. Right now that is their priority. Terrorism is not a current serious problem, any resources devoted to that would be better use on solving their ecomonical and unemploment problems.

Well its not a suprise, pretty much every european country have been at war with each other at some point, there is little "friendly neighborhood" in Europe. Also why sould they? they have their own (more serious and down to earth) problems to addess that to start to colect duck tape and go around in pink alert. Besides the change for a universal policy to fight terrorist groups was lost long ago when the US (Bush really) said "no, thank you".

Resident Evil? Tasteless. Now go play SH2, that a REAL horror game.

Who were your favorite characters in KotOR?
Drakron replied to Darque's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Too bad MKD2 exists, regardless of fanboys closing their eyes and pretend it was not made. Also lets not forget the very first BioWare game, Shattered Steel that was a mechwarrior clone. -
10 days before the bombing they found two trucks with explosives, combined it was half a ton of explosives. I doubt it was for fireworks ... Pre-Franco ETA had points but after it, they are nothing but murders and they had killed many people. As for Al-Queda ... Al-Queda does not profits from this, ETA on the other hand does and even more if they allow the doubt to remain. Europe have lived with terrorism well before 7/11, the fact the North American countries dont does not change the fact that terrorism is nothing europeans had not seen over the last decades. ETA, IRA, LVF, FLNC, Baader-Meinhof, Red Brigades, 17 November ...

What? Final Fantasy games are more that just the story model, FF basic mechanics and classes remain the same. So unless BioWare made Firaga casting black mages ... Squaresoft story stucture is neither new or exclusive to then. -

True, PC SWKotOR forum area was a wasteland after they anounced the Xbox being done first and most BioWare staff members posted in the Xbox forum area and rarely posted in the PC area. Of course BioWare defends the idea each version was developed independent ... not that many people (non fanboy) buy into that ...

Was Bastila really the main character?
Drakron replied to Darque's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No Grommir. Deux Ex Machina is a NPC that comes along out of the blue and solves things and that is what I mean by "stealing the show", they became the focus of the story when they pull a Deux Ex Machina, when PC is in put in cutscene mode and the game is push foward by a NPC that solves things, not the PC. And even if you are somewhat correct that "the story is developed by the NPCs" that also happens when the PC is the focus of the story, FF VIII is a example because if not for a NPC that creates the bridge of past-future a lot of things would be off and I think you agree that Squall was FF VIII driving point. -
Manaan problem is bad map design, not only its easy to get lost (not due to map size but from no directions) and it also slows down the game.

Juhami is a rather unique character since she is one of the few lesbian characters I seen in games, unfortunatly that only shows by playing a female character. I wonder what happened if BioWare made a more linear game like Final Fantasy games. -

Try looking at LucasForums, there are a buch of mods there. With Kotor tool program its relative easy to mod SWKotOR, heck even I made a mod that switch the Scoundrel and the Scout models. -

Well E3 does anounces a lot of projects. Again D&D belongs to WotC and electronic rights of D&D (games for example) belongs to Atari, BioWare have no hold over D&D IP. And Star Wars belongs to LucasArts, again BioWare holds no hold over Star Wars IP (and Atari is nor even connected to Star Wars, even if WotC works on Star Wars d20, electronic rights to everything Star Wars are hold by LucasArts). Why people think that Atari is going to reveal SWKotOR 2 when in no way they can work in that game, only LucasArts can ... -

Oh? I said Star Wars games always sale because of brand recognition, even the "flops" sold more units because of being a "Star Wars" game . I did not said they flops were sales success because of Star Wars logo ... And you are right .... stupid roman numbers ... -

? Are you sure ... Squall role was deep within FF VII story, without him there would be no FF VII story (at least not as written). Amazon was just "oh look at me, I am a Amazon" that had no more impact of "I am doing this" and she does not push the story along more that doing stuff. I know the diference thank you ... Why the sudden desire for I having to write a master thesis on such characters, Squall role in FF VII was very much the story, without his evolution of character he would not fallen in love with Rinoa and so would not try to rescue her and so Ultramercia would not release Abdel, also there is the childhood bacground, the circle (Ultramercia passing her powers in the past and setting off the circle), Squall end up giving the name of SeeD ... Its too much and I dont think that I need to go around explaing the diferences of Squall and Diablo Amazon, just point out as examples of such diferences. -
As a RPG it failed on several areas, as I pointed out. Games that are made for the "adverage" casual player tend to be adverage at best (such as DX2:IW) and I think a lot of SWKotOR success comes from being the first Star Wars cRPG, we simply dont have other Star Wars cRPGs to judge SWKotOR and so we are forced to look at cRPGs in general and despite all NwN flaws its a better cRPG in many areas that SWKotOR. Even if this article was about Squaresoft it applies to all fanboys.

Star Wars game have brand recognition, they always have a market. Sure there were flops, most due to Star Wars game quality going lower since X-Wing Alliance (that was not that good) was released. That SWKotOR broken Xbox sales records is not too hard, Xbox have a lack of good titles and I predict that Fable is going to break the record as well. I doubt SWKotOR broken the FF X-2 JPN release sales record that was more that enough for it to became a "platimun" title. As for PS:T that is, unfortunatly true ... The cover box art is ugly and not exactly atractive to buy a game with that ugly mug on the front, I almost return it when I seen it. Also it appears that reviewers got a alpha build and nobody told then that was not the final so they ignored PS:T because that alpha build was not very good. And Grommir I know the diference, Squall is a defined character as the "Amazon" of Diablo 2 is not. -
It was not right after ... BioWare open their forums a short time after the break up that was about 30 October 2001, due to (I presume) prume I can no longer find the anoucement of the inclusion of that feature and so I must rely on my memory. NwN was released in 06/16/02 and the beta was about one month before so we have about May as to final engine gameplay decisions being made and implemented. Now we all remenber that Inforgrames did not jump three days after the break up and not much work was being done (I recall a BioWare staff menber saying until Inforgrames come they were talking about if it was possible to scrap the D&D and Forgotten Realms out of the game) so let add a month and we have from November to May the time of Pause and Play was intruduced was about 6 months. That is well within the inicial QA run of testing gameplay.

Its a Star Wars game ... it always sells, besides Diablo also sales ... Not much but its a RPG reference and it was more cursed by the marketing department that anything else ... I dont like PS:T that much, more due I dont like planar stuff very much and that I think also reflected on liking the game or not, Planescape setting does that .... either you like it or you dislike it, not much middle ground. Final Fantasy games sell a lot, and all the recent ones have generated characters. As I said I like both systems. Oh, I touched a nerve ... Remenber ... baby steps ... -
Grommir, Pause in play was added after bioWare moved from BIS forums, it was a relative late adition after QA circle started. You can argue that was "fan demand" but I argued to death about including it in BIS forums and it was no included back then. We also asked about controlable henchman and nothing, we asked about acess to henchman inventory and again nothing ... they were added after players did it on expansions.
