  1. No. LucasArts is very protective of their IP and BioWare was asked by LucasArts to make a Star Wars RPG, just liken when Interplay asked BioWare to make a AD&D game. Star Wars license never leaves LucasArts for anything, BioWare does not have Star Wars license since LucasArts never given then in the first place. Same deal could happen with OE, LucasArts hires OE to make a Star Wars game ... no need for BioWare to get involved unless they use one of BioWare engines cine SWKotOR engine belongs to BioWare.
  2. First lets clear some misconceptions. BioWare does not own SWKotOR, LucasArts does and so its not BioWare to give ... its LucasArts. Feargus and most of OE staff have already a impressive resume, I would not be here if I did not know their work. Its not that we hate SWKotOr but that is that game does not need a sequel and looking at OE staff past projects you will not get a SWKotOR 2 but a RPG based on Star Wars universe with will likely be as diferent as IWD was from BG. And the details of this project are not anounced, a lot of people say "SWKotOR 2" but at this point that is possible being "Zone of Enders 3", we simply dont know and EA is not giving any hints.
  3. Were did you get the idea Delaware is SWKotOR 2?
  4. True, but forge was just anoying on that ... more due stupid NPC running all over spawn trigger that anything else. But that is what happens when using NwN engine and NPC control system (original one before scripts helped stupid NPC behavior) ... Star Wars d20 combat is usually faster that d20 due to wound point system that BioWare could implemented, it could stop the obvious anoying Sith trooper n
  5. In Star Wars d20 there is death risk involved ... take away the risk factor involved and things get easy since careless player is simply not made to stop being careless, I can unserstand why they made it that way but does not change as IWD/BG did force players to be careful, SWKotOR does not. SWKotOR does pretty much the same thing as FF, except no "phoenix down" ...
  6. SWKotOR is using d20 rules and 0hp is dead in basic d20 rules. Unless SWKotOR is also using FF rules were 0 means out of combat ....
  7. Actually 0 HP = dead. Being unconcious is all about subdual damage. There is a connon optional rule used of 0 Hp = dying with -10 Hp being dead but that does not make character unconcious, he mades him dying since without outside action it will automatic lose 1 hp per round when reduced to 0 hp. Optinal rules are optional.
  8. You are the one that have no argument besides using highly debatle theories to futher or belives. Also you are posting to futher your religious belives, your posts are incredible biased towars your religion (God this, God that) and everything that present a alternative to what your religion says it plain wrong.
  9. Actually one of WotC people said ECL were put high to discourage of people playing then but I dont think it was one of FR staff that said that. Also note that FRCS had errata for ECL entries and assigning ECL is not a science, its a question of thinking is a certain ability needs a ECL adjustement and it ends up being a matter of opinion. Also Wemics were not exactly designed as a player race, they were created as monsters first and then assigned a ECL. And last there is book called "Savage Species" that expands playing monsters, one of the options is instead of using ECL they use "monsters levels" so its possible to play a lv1 wemic along with a lv1 elf wizard.
  10. Sorry, I started posted before you did so that was not addressed to your post.
  11. So he is wrong because you pull (unproven and highly debateble) theorie that says he is wrong. And who says YOUR god is behind it besides Faith because you and nobody knows ... they have FAITH they are right but that is pretty about it.
  12. I do have to say this. SWKotOR is the only game I really moded, its too good to waste.
  13. SWkotOR2 rumors started with the Xbox magazine ... I suposed its because decent Xbox games are few and they are not without making baseless rumors to prevent people to sell their Crapbox and buy another console, like the Playstation 2. OE was involved when BioWare denied (not that maters much, BioWare staff are liers and I dont remenber the company making a public statement) and OE talked about partnership with BioWare. Its even less based that FF remakes rumors of some time ago when they mistaken on of Square staff comments bout wanting to remake FF VII and VIII as Square making the remakes, Square did publicly deny such rumors.
  14. Not so much of a insult since that could also apply to me, just looking at the bad and not seeing the good. Some cases are opinion, saying story is good/bad is opinion but when it comes to rules and mechanics there opinion and there is fact, usually we form a opinion from a fact but there are people that form "facts" from opinions. SWKotOR have flaws, fact people point out flaw without also saying "this works", its because people are just pointing flaws and not making a judgement of everything there is or they end up with 12 page long posts, problem only comes when people cannot take a list of flaws as for what it is, a list of flaws.
  15. If you call "flaw" a class having a ability that never comes to play (I am a bit wrong since if you are playing a Scoundrel then it comes into play if you follow the DS path and have the wookie with you in the Star Forge) and another is one of the more useless class I have the displeasure of seeing (Sentinel) ... Yes, there are some "flaws" that "some people" do see. The worst kind of blind is the one that just sees what he wants to see ...
  16. Of course ToB was literaly throwing the book away and start to do their own stuff. BioWare implementation of the rules on BG was decent, they did not implemented many things (as dual wield) but at lest they did not fallen into the trap of trying to compensate and screw up. I dont think some key elements of BG1 team were in BG2, BG2 is were BioWare started into making stuff up with mix results, in some cases it worked as in other they made a mess ... item placement that was already a problem in BG1 became a bigger problem in BG2 and made matters worst. ToB is were BioWare break the book, they made stuff up with end up in many cases the unbalance of hell, fact most enemies downright cheated maked thing even worst. Now enters NwN that followed the trend, they make new skills and mechanics (parry as a example) and once again we end up with were it worked and were it failed ... in HotU mages and bards were screwed over due to BioWare "interpertation" of Epic spells (I played fighter/wizard and ... lets say I have no epic spells despite being a lv4 fighterlv20 wizard) with just shows were rules are concerned ... Now we reach SW:KotOR. The story is great but if we take away the story ... ouch. First with the incredible decision of half skill points they made Int a dump stat, you either have Int of 14 or dont bother and that was to "fix" the fact they implemented the total of 8 skills ... not that skills use matter much since the trend of removing the "useless" skill was present in SW:KotOR. Next we have the Sentinel class and that is important because that class could not be "copy/paste", its pure BioWare and, not a suprise, imcomplete ... sure its nice enough (on paper) but something is missing and the fact is their immunities come once in a blue moon, I guess it is better that Uncanning Dodge that Scouts get that I dont think never comes into play, its not like the enemies actually uses player classes besides two. Oh and once again ... item placement is horrible, you simply dont give the best armor in the game before the player reaches half the game. Now IWD series was great, I had equipment for everyone reguadless of class and choice of weapon and even several class expecific items and no uber loot until it was time for the uber loot to show up, enemies have their own classes and everything. What this teach us is that story alone does not make good game, there is always room to improve and if game company losses storyteller staff and does not replace then as equal good storyteller ... well they better have other areas to fall in.
  17. I am stun ... I never belived ... ...
  18. A lot of people expect "SW:KotOR 2 :Revan gets laid", that is a game that continues the first story. SW:KotOR rules implementation is of the western idea of console players "they are 14 years old that are unable to think much", I seen my share of somewhat complexl console RPGs but those are from JPN developers were such mentality does not exist. Anyway if OE is doing a Star Wars RPG it SOULD be diferent that SW:KotOR ... both is rule implementation (OE staff have shown they can pull rather tactical and complex RPGs) and that game story sould not be connected to SW:KotOR in any way besides being on the same universe. So its not SW:KotOR2 ...
  19. Onlt game I remenber brand placement was PE2.
  20. You know ... when Throne of Bhall come out in europe the DVD box had a ad about NwN and that ad told EXACTLY what the NwN story would be about. I remenber the out cry about how stupid the story was and one of BioWare staff come out and said "oh, no that is just a proposed story line and you have nothing to worry about and you can trust us". The ad story was exactly what NwN had ... I think the only thing BioWare listens on that one was the ass kissing, I would be more forgiving if they said the events did not allowed then to do better but the way they defended that story line ... just to see then later saying "oh the original campain was not as good" ... buch of liers ... I am blessed/cursed with a great memory ... I remeber the events after most people would forgotten then and even if I dont expect the company staff to say "yep, its not very good" I would at least expect to keep silent. hope that OE does not grow a ego like some other companies and treat players as players ... not like idiots that sould only post about how great they are.
  21. Its simple. Some countries are self centered. Some compenies would reintruduce slavery (and some have, to a degree in 3rd world contries) and would never allow anything to eat their profits. Reducing prices to meet with the local pay wage standart would be a idea but they dont to that, they simply treat it as being a western market and thats why prices are off.
