I'm playing SC2 now and funnily enough I truly miss those long, arduous missions. All SC2 missions feel far too short and too easy, even on hard. And the cutscenes in SC were indeed a good reward imo. The SC campaign just satisfies me entirely overall, unlike the SC2 campaign. It's definitely great fun, but it's just too short and easy! That's my only problem with it.

The biggest problem for me so far (13 missions done, haven't met Zeratul yet wtf?) is that most missions are just too easy. I've been playing on hard, didn't want to select brutal because it looked like too much for me to take. Well, apparently not I guess? I'd say I spent about 10 to 12 hours on the game so far. I do feel like it's ending too fast. I'm already halfway through the campaign and I started yesterday, not at all like Starcraft (or even Warcraft III) which had the same number of missions and yet I spent weeks on it's campaign (and Brood War) on my first play through. I'm disappointed with the length of the missions too, the problem isn't just that they're too easy, they're also too short. Starcraft had some extremely long missions. Not once in SC2 have I come across a mission as long and awesome as "The Hammer Falls" (final mission of the SC1 terran campaign) or "Full Circle" (final mission of the SC1 zerg campaign) or "Eye of the Storm" (final mission in SC). Not to mention Brood War's missions were even longer and harder than those of SC1. I have to mention all missions have been very entertaining and absolutely fun. A blast to play through. All I want right now is to start a mission and think "oh god this is gonna be TOUGH", and I'm hoping the last half of the campaign will deliver that feeling again.

Knowing Sawyer I'm pretty sure it's their focus. Fallout : New Vegas is also a pretty big game though, so I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if it's less buggy than Fallout 3 (which is a more than enough acceptable level of bugs for me, considering that it's a vast open world game). Nah man. I won't even be surprised. I really am that confident. Everything Sawyer said points to that. Despite their history, I'm extremely sure this one will be just fine on release. They won't make the same mistake again.

I'm sure it'll be very playable on release. Everything I read indicates they're all being very careful this time.

I'm extremely excited for it! Getting it as soon as I can tomorrow! I've played a lot of SC (both the campaigns and people), and I was in the SC2 beta. Can't wait to play the campaign!

It's solely to prevent spam bots. You can add a game demo or a free game to your account (Alien Swarm) and it should be fine. Alien Swarm was added from the get-go, but I added FO and LoL and I still can't add friends. You have to add Steam games, Non-Steam doesn't work. See the links I posted. You don't have to install them, they just have to be idle on your list.

I believe the reason for needing games is to avoid those people who create accounts and add random people and spam those "CLICK HERE FOR FREE GAMES" messages, and then you end up getting your account stolen. Anyways there really are ways to get a few free games on Steam so you can add your friends. Invisible thieves warehouse? I really don't remember that. Did I get past it already? If you don't remember it, then I'm going to guess not, but it's fairly early in the game. It's one of the missions you get from City Watch quest line. Oh, *that* warehouse. Honestly I didn't even know/remember they were invisible. I must have done something right after all! That mission was pretty straightforward/unremarkable for me.

I, too, am playing NWN2. Crossroads Keep right now, on normal. It's not too hard really.

You forgot the r00fles. Never played Painkiller or Gothic 2. So I guess I'd start HL2 It's pretty cool.

And how far are you? Forget about Freeman chapter/section. You're about to reach the Lambda Complex, which I love, but yeah game is extremely long. Are you going to move on to Half Life 2 and the episodes after you're done with HL?

If you feel you dislike the voice acting and stuff you can always press uh I think it's F10 and it'll revert the game back to old mode on the fly. I think there's no argument against getting it then.

I meant why he used the worlds "I believe" while he is most likely to be a person who has a whole picture of FO:NV. He is one of a few designers who kept communicating with us since BIS boards and...as far as I know, he didn't tell a lie. oh lol. Alright, I read it all wrong.
